StreamVoodoo’s documented role is to connect video sources and route them through production tools such as OBS or vMix. Its available documentation does not confirm a native YouTube playlist scheduler, continuous loop, or unattended recovery. To run a prerecorded playlist around the clock, you need a separate playback and encoding setup that can loop and recover—or a cloud service built to keep the stream running.
What StreamVoodoo does—and what is not documented
StreamVoodoo describes connecting video sources to rooms, sending feeds to OBS or vMix, and using Magic Links as video-with-audio outputs in those production tools. Its FAQ also describes feeding playback into a room using an OBS virtual camera or an NDI output. These are source-routing capabilities; they do not establish a native playlist scheduler or a service that loops a playlist unattended. StreamVoodoo FAQ
For a 24/7 channel, treat StreamVoodoo as part of a production chain only if you need its routing features. Separately confirm that the playback and encoding system you choose can repeat the playlist indefinitely, remain available, and restart after interruptions. StreamVoodoo’s reviewed materials do not establish those functions, though they do not rule out custom arrangements.
Prepare the channel, playlist, and rights
Check YouTube eligibility
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days to stream live. It also says creators must be at least 16. YouTube may restrict or remove live content that violates its Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. A live-stream restriction can last 14 days; using another channel to evade an active restriction is prohibited. Clear every part of the program
Use only video and audio that you own or are authorized to stream, including music, clips, photographs, and other third-party material. StreamVoodoo’s terms dated 2022 place responsibility for content rights and legal compliance on the user and prohibit transmitting material that infringes third-party rights. Because those terms are dated, review the agreement currently presented by StreamVoodoo rather than relying on an older version: StreamVoodoo Terms.
Permission to show a documentary or a music track does not automatically mean you may rebroadcast it live, make an archive, or use it in every territory. Confirm the scope and duration of each license, and retain records of permissions.
Build and test the playlist
Put the files in the intended order and check that playback transitions cleanly from the last item back to the first. Test the complete playback chain—including audio, video, any overlays, and the return to the start—before relying on it. The ability to play a file into a StreamVoodoo room is not proof that the whole system will repeat a playlist or recover after a failure.

Connect StreamVoodoo to a YouTube broadcast
Choose one source route
If you need StreamVoodoo’s room or routing functions, its FAQ describes two relevant approaches: send media playback into a room through an OBS virtual camera or an NDI output, or use a Magic Link as a browser source in OBS or vMix. Choose the route that fits your production; the documented workflow does not require using both. The FAQ extract was available, although direct access to the page was blocked by Cloudflare, so confirm the current setup details with StreamVoodoo before building a critical broadcast around them. Create the stream in YouTube Studio

Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create a live stream or select a scheduled stream.

Copy the YouTube server URL and stream key shown for that stream. YouTube Help’s encoder instructions state: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” See YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

In the encoder or production tool that sends the finished program to YouTube, enter the server URL and stream key in its stream settings. Keep the key private: it grants access to send a broadcast to your channel. Do not show it in screenshots, recordings, or publicly shared configuration.

Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview. For a scheduled stream, YouTube’s instructions say to wait for the preview and then click Go live.

Monitor the outgoing program and confirm that the playlist actually returns to its beginning. Do not describe the setup as unattended until you have tested what happens when playback or the encoder stops and verified that the relevant component restarts it.

Plan for long runtimes and interruptions
YouTube Help says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. The cited guidance does not guarantee a complete archive for a single uninterrupted stream lasting longer than 12 hours. If you need a reliable replay, check YouTube’s current archive guidance and decide whether to end and restart broadcasts on a schedule instead of assuming an extended stream will produce a complete recording. YouTube Help also gives limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key; both limits apply. These are YouTube platform limits, not StreamVoodoo room-connection limits. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming
Before making a 24/7 promise, verify the failure behavior of each part of the chain: playlist playback, source delivery into StreamVoodoo if used, the encoder, and the connection to YouTube. The reviewed StreamVoodoo material does not document automatic playlist looping or unattended restart, so plan for supervision or use a separately verified system that handles those tasks.
