Open the relevant live stream or destination in your Livepush dashboard.

Check that the YouTube destination is connected through a linked YouTube account. Livepush’s managed title feature requires this connection; a destination configured only with a stream key does not provide the same title controls.

Edit the title in the dashboard, then save or apply the change. Livepush says title updates can be pushed to linked platforms while the broadcast is live without interrupting it.

Open the YouTube broadcast’s public watch page and check that the viewer-facing title has changed.
For a newly configured destination, Livepush’s setup guide describes adding a YouTube destination, linking a Google/YouTube account, selecting a channel and “New Live Event,” setting the title and description, choosing privacy, and saving. That setup process does not document thumbnail editing.

Select the video corresponding to the broadcast you want to update. Check that you have the correct event, especially if your channel has several scheduled or past broadcasts.

Save the change, then inspect the public watch page to confirm the thumbnail shown to viewers.
YouTube’s custom-thumbnail guidance says the account must be verified to use a custom thumbnail. The documented workflow applies to a video’s thumbnail; available controls can vary with the selected live event and its state. If you do not see a thumbnail control for that broadcast, the reviewed guidance does not establish another Livepush thumbnail route.

What a stream key does—and does not do
A stream key carries the encoder’s video feed to YouTube. It is not a title or thumbnail setting, and resetting or rotating it is not a way to change broadcast metadata. Livepush distinguishes linked-account destinations, which support its managed title updates, from stream-key-only destinations, which carry video but do not expose those managed title controls.
YouTube’s instructions for encoder streams separately cover setting up a feed in Live Control Room. The available metadata controls depend on the stream setup; webcam guidance is not interchangeable with encoder-stream guidance. For a stream-key-only Livepush destination, use YouTube’s own controls if they are available for the selected event, then verify the public watch page.

Troubleshooting title and thumbnail changes

The Livepush title will not update: Check whether the destination is connected through a linked YouTube account rather than only a stream key. Save the edit and inspect the YouTube watch page.

The title changed in Livepush but not on the watch page: Confirm you edited the destination for the correct broadcast, then check YouTube’s viewer-facing page. The dashboard change should not be treated as confirmation that the public metadata updated.

You cannot find a thumbnail option in Livepush: The reviewed Livepush materials do not establish a thumbnail-editing feature. Open the relevant video in YouTube Studio and use its thumbnail controls if available.

You are considering changing the stream key: Do not reset it to change metadata. It is for the incoming encoder feed, not the viewer-facing title or thumbnail.
