There is no fixed monthly total: a 24/7 meditation stream uses data according to the average playback bitrate YouTube actually delivers to your device. As a unit-conversion example—not a measurement of a particular stream—a steady 1 Mbps works out to about 10.8 decimal GB in 24 hours, or 324 decimal GB in 30 days. Check the stream’s actual playback rate and your specific Airtel plan before comparing it with a data limit.
Estimate data use from the delivered playback rate
Use these formulas when you know the average playback bitrate:
- Decimal GB per day: bitrate in Mbps × 10.8.
- Decimal GB per 30-day month: bitrate in Mbps × 324.
For example, if measurement shows an average of 1 Mbps for the period, the arithmetic estimate is 10.8 decimal GB per day and 324 decimal GB over 30 days. This is a conversion of bitrate and time, not a claim that a meditation stream uses 1 Mbps.
The calculation uses decimal gigabytes. A network meter may show a different total because of protocol overhead, interruptions, buffering, other devices, or use of binary rather than decimal units. For a household estimate, include all other internet use on the connection.

Why resolution alone does not give an exact total
YouTube adjusts playback quality to viewing conditions, and viewers can also select quality manually. The same livestream can therefore consume different amounts for different viewers or sessions. YouTube describes the adjustment this way: “To give you the best viewing experience, YouTube changes the quality of your video stream based on your viewing conditions.” YouTube Help explains how to change video quality.
YouTube publishes recommended sustained connection speeds for playback, but these are not the stream’s bitrate and cannot be multiplied by time to determine exact data use:

These recommendations from YouTube’s system requirements page describe connection capacity, not viewer bitrate or data consumed per hour. The broadcaster’s live encoder bitrate is also not a substitute: it is the stream’s upload setting, and YouTube transcodes live streams into outputs for viewers. Measure the stream for a more accurate estimate
- Set the viewing conditions you want to estimate. On the device playing the stream, choose the intended quality in YouTube’s quality menu, or leave it on Auto if that reflects normal use.
- Check playback statistics. Open the player’s playback statistics and note the reported connection and stream information. Connection speed is not itself the delivered bitrate, so use an actual bitrate reading only if the statistics or your measurement tool provides one.
- Measure a representative period. Use a device or router data-usage meter to record the additional traffic while the stream plays. Keep other household traffic in mind, since it can be included in the same meter.
- Project cautiously. If you have a measured average playback bitrate, apply the formulas above. If you measured total bytes directly, scale that measured usage by the time period you need, while allowing for quality changes and interruptions.
A short sample can miss changes in quality or playback conditions. For a useful monthly comparison, measure over a representative period and compare the result with the allowance and terms for your own account.

Could continuous playback reach an Airtel fair-use limit?
Airtel’s Xstream Fiber plans page advertises unlimited data, but Airtel terms include plan- and offer-specific fair-use conditions. The available terms include a 3,333 GB billing-cycle threshold for a referenced plan and a separate 1 TB monthly fair-use condition in an AirFiber offer context. Neither figure should be assumed to apply to every Airtel broadband subscriber.
Check your service type, current plan and account terms before treating a threshold as your limit. Airtel’s Xstream Fiber plans page, terms and conditions and FUP explainer provide plan information, but the applicable threshold for your subscription depends on its specific terms. Compare the stream’s measured monthly use—not a resolution’s recommended connection speed—with that limit, and account for the rest of the household’s traffic.
