If a YouTube gaming replay playlist stops at its last video, turn on playlist Repeat. That sends playback back to the beginning of the playlist. Autoplay is different: it starts a related video and does not make the selected playlist cycle.
Make the gaming replay playlist repeat
Use the instructions for the device playing the playlist. YouTube’s controls can vary by device, so check that the selected mode repeats the whole playlist—not only the current video.
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box beside the video.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. YouTube’s instructions are in its computer playlist-repeat help.
On Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the playlist controls.
- Check the control’s mode: YouTube documents that a second tap switches to repeating only the current video. Choose the playlist-repeat mode if you want the full gaming replay playlist to start over. See YouTube’s Android instructions.
On a TV or gaming console
- Select and play the playlist.
- During playback, press down on the remote or controller to show the controls.
- Select Repeat until it displays Repeat • Playlist. If you do not see the control there, check the player’s Settings. YouTube describes these steps in its TV and gaming-console playlist-repeat help.
Playlist Repeat and Autoplay do different things
Playlist Repeat cycles through the selected playlist, returning to its first video after the last. Autoplay starts another related video after the current video ends; it does not ensure the chosen playlist will loop. YouTube describes Autoplay as playing “another related video” after a video ends. If you want YouTube to pick what plays next, use Autoplay; if you want the gaming replays in that playlist to keep cycling, use playlist Repeat. Find device-specific Autoplay controls in YouTube’s Autoplay help.
If playback still stops
- Confirm the video is playing from the playlist. Open the playlist and start a video from it, rather than playing a standalone video.
- Check which Repeat mode is selected. On Android in particular, make sure it is set to repeat the playlist, not only the current video.
- Try another supported device. If the playlist repeats there, the issue may be specific to the original device’s controls or playback.
- Use YouTube’s playback troubleshooting steps. If the correct playlist-repeat mode is selected and the problem persists, follow YouTube’s streaming and video troubleshooting guidance.
The symptom alone does not identify whether Repeat was off, the wrong mode was selected, playback was outside the playlist, or another playback problem occurred. These checks help distinguish those possibilities.
