To run a 24/7 morning bhajan playlist as a YouTube live stream, send prerecorded video or audio through a continuously running encoder—or use a managed cloud service. A YouTube playlist by itself does not create a live broadcast. Before going live, confirm rights for every recording, enable YouTube live streaming, test the stream, and decide how you will handle the archive and restarts.
What you need for a continuous bhajan stream
- A verified YouTube channel that is eligible to stream live.
- Bhajan recordings and visuals you have the rights to use in a YouTube livestream, including any necessary permissions for both the composition and the recording.
- A source playlist or recording, plus an encoder or cloud service to send it to YouTube continuously.
- A stable upload connection if you run the encoder at home, and a plan to monitor the stream and recover from interruptions.

Prepare your channel and music rights
Enable live streaming early
In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and follow the prompts to enable live streaming. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do this before your planned launch. YouTube says the channel must be verified, must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Check the current eligibility details in YouTube’s Get started with live streaming guidance.
Clear every recording, not just the playlist
For each bhajan, verify that your permission covers the specific recording and the underlying composition, as applicable, for YouTube livestreaming and the territories where viewers may watch. Check whether the license permits continuous use and monetization if you intend to monetize. Keep written license or permission records. A “free” label, attribution, or credit line does not by itself establish permission. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If a match is identified, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder; unresolved use can interrupt or terminate the broadcast. If you have a license for music that is being detected, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Read Copyright issues with live streams and YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions, which place responsibility on the streamer to have the necessary rights, including music licensing rights.
Do not treat Creator Music as a blanket license for a 24/7 live bhajan stream. The cited YouTube help page describes availability for U.S. YouTube Partner Program creators, with expansion outside the U.S. pending, and says revenue-sharing tracks under those rules cannot be used in live streams. Choose how to keep the stream running
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder is a practical do-it-yourself route if you can leave a computer, the encoder, and your internet connection running continuously. You are responsible for keeping the machine awake, maintaining the connection, restarting the encoder if needed, and monitoring audio and video.
Standalone hardware encoder
A hardware encoder is an option for a dedicated or higher-production setup. It is not required: YouTube also supports software encoding. In either case, you need a reliable source playlist, an internet connection, and a way to respond if the encoder or network fails.

Managed cloud service
A cloud service can keep uploaded recordings playing without requiring your home computer to remain on. Compare how each service handles looping, recovery, storage, and monitoring, and separately confirm that your music rights cover the intended use. YouTube support for encoder-based streams does not itself establish that a specific service is suitable for every music license.
Set up the YouTube live stream
- Prepare the playlist. Arrange the bhajans in the intended morning sequence and confirm that every file plays correctly. Use only recordings and visuals cleared for the stream.
- Create the live stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room and create a stream. Follow the current YouTube interface prompts for stream details and visibility.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s corresponding fields. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream.
- Configure the encoder. Select the prepared media as the source and set the encoder to send it to YouTube. Use the encoder’s supported settings and ensure your upload connection has enough capacity for the chosen stream bitrate.
- Start in preview and verify playback. Start the encoder, check YouTube’s preview, and confirm the picture, sound, and playlist position before making the stream public.
- Launch and monitor. Check the public watch page on desktop and mobile. Keep an eye on audio, video, and connection status, and have a recovery plan for encoder or network interruptions.
Plan bandwidth, monitoring, and the archive
YouTube recommends upload capacity above the stream bitrate with 20% headroom. That is a recommendation, not an uptime guarantee: network disruption can still break a stream. Its Streaming tips also advise previewing the stream, checking local archive files, verifying the watch page, monitoring audio and video quality, and testing encoder failover if your setup has a backup.

Keep a local recording if you need a dependable copy. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind can also be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. A 24-hour session therefore cannot be relied on as a complete replay. - You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified and eligible, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement. Review YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance for restrictions.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Confirm that the stream URL and key were copied correctly into the encoder and that the encoder is sending. If you suspect the key has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- The stream buffers or disconnects: Check actual upload capacity against the stream bitrate, preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom, and investigate network interruptions. If using a local encoder, check that the computer has not slept or lost power.
- The audio or video is wrong: Review the source playlist and encoder preview before relaunching. Confirm that the selected source is playing and that the expected audio and visuals reach YouTube.
- A copyright match interrupts playback: Stop and resolve the rights issue rather than repeatedly restarting. Confirm permission for both the relevant recording and composition; if the use is licensed, ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting.
- The replay is missing or viewers cannot rewind far enough: A session over 12 hours may not be archived, and DVR may be limited or unavailable. Preserve a local recording and use shorter sessions if YouTube replay is important.
Monetization and practical costs
YouTube’s encoder guide says livestream monetization is available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program; that does not guarantee channel approval or earnings. Creator Music revenue-sharing terms described by YouTube do not grant a general livestream music license. Budget separately for any music rights, equipment, internet service, or managed streaming service you choose; costs vary and depend on your setup.
