Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To run a 24/7 Marathi Vitthal bhajan stream on YouTube, first secure permission for every recording and composition, then enable livestreaming on your channel, send a tested audio-and-visual loop through an encoder, and plan how you will handle outages and replays. A continuous stream is not a set-and-forget broadcast: rights checks, reliable power and internet, monitoring, and YouTube’s archive limits all matter.
1. Clear the bhajan recordings and compositions
Before uploading tracks or going live, list every recording and the composition behind it. Confirm that your permission covers livestreaming on YouTube, the territories where the stream can be viewed, and any archived replay you intend to keep. A devotional subject, credit in the description, or a recording being available elsewhere does not establish permission to broadcast it.
- Check rights for the specific master recording as well as the underlying composition.
- Ask the label, distributor, publisher, or other relevant rights administrator whether the permission covers live use, territories, and replay.
- Ask whether the channel needs to be allowlisted through Content ID for the licensed tracks, and have the rights administrator complete any necessary allowlisting before launch.
- Keep written records of permissions and match them to the tracks in your playlist.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder replacing the stream, a warning, interruption, termination, or a strike. YouTube notes that even a licensed track can interrupt a broadcast if the channel has not been allowlisted by the rights owner through Content ID. Its terms require providers to have the necessary rights for content worldwide, including relevant music rights. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and its livestream terms and conditions. This platform guidance is not legal advice for a particular catalog or territory.
YouTube for Artists advises: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” (Going Live for Music Channels.)

2. Make sure your channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time livestreaming activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned launch. YouTube also sets age requirements; check the current eligibility details for your account and streaming method in Get started with live streaming.
3. Choose how to keep the stream running
DIY: OBS Studio on a computer
OBS Studio is a free, open-source encoder suitable for sending a static devotional image or a rotating set of images alongside a bhajan playlist. The OBS Project says it has no watermarks or usage limitations and may be used commercially; see the OBS Help Portal. For a computer-based setup, the computer, OBS, internet connection, and power must remain available for the stream to continue.

4. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect the encoder
- In YouTube Studio, create a live stream using an encoder. Set the title, description, visibility, thumbnail, and schedule. Choose a title that accurately describes the devotional program and remains suitable for the entire playlist.
- In the stream’s Live Control Room, copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the key as a password: YouTube says it provides access to the feed, so do not share it publicly.
- In OBS, add the visual source, configure audio playback for the authorized bhajan playlist, and connect the stream using YouTube’s server URL and key. Confirm that the playlist loops and the visual remains appropriate throughout.
- Start with a private or unlisted test. Check the Live Control Room preview, listen for clean audio, verify the image and playlist transition, and test playback on a phone before making the public broadcast.
YouTube’s encoder setup instructions are in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
5. Set video, audio, and network settings you can sustain
For a mostly static devotional visual, use a modest resolution and bitrate your connection can maintain rather than maximizing quality by default. YouTube’s current general encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS ingestion; H.264, H.265, and AV1 video; constant bitrate (CBR); a recommended two-second keyframe interval (not more than four seconds); and AAC or MP3 audio. Its advanced stereo audio guidance lists 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps.

| H.264 guidance from YouTube | Listed bitrate |
|---|---|
| 240p–720p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps |
| 720p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 10 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s listed recommendations, not a requirement to use the highest available setting. Pick a profile that suits the visual and test it under the actual network conditions. Your upload capacity should exceed the stream’s combined bitrate with headroom; YouTube recommends 20% extra and warns that network disruption can break a stream. Consult Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions and Streaming tips for current guidance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.6. Plan for continuous operation and failures
A 24/7 stream depends on the equipment and connection staying available. For a DIY encoder, prevent the computer from sleeping, keep OBS and the playlist running, and arrange for someone to respond if the stream or audio stops. Keep local copies of authorized media and check playback and audio levels periodically.

- Test the encoder and monitor audio, video, and stream health during a test broadcast.
- Consider backup internet or redundant equipment only if the site’s outage risk and budget justify it; YouTube recommends testing encoder failover when a production uses a backup encoder.
- A UPS can bridge brief power interruptions, but it cannot provide indefinite runtime or fix an internet outage. An “uninterruptible power supply for streaming PC” is an optional accessory, not a substitute for a continuity plan.
- Use a visual and on-screen title that remain accurate across the entire playlist, and ensure the playlist does not run out or stop unexpectedly.
7. Decide how viewers will access replays
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. That makes a single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast a poor choice if you need a complete YouTube replay. If searchable replay segments matter, schedule shorter sessions and label them clearly. If you need a backup of the full program, record locally and verify the recording rather than assuming YouTube will archive the entire feed. See Archive live streams.
Choose which outcome matters most: always-on listening, replayable segments, or both. Shorter broadcast sessions can make replays easier to organize, while a local recording gives you a separate copy to check.
Quick Recap
8. Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Livestreaming is not available on the channel | Verification or eligibility is incomplete, there is a recent streaming restriction, or first-time activation is still pending. | Check channel eligibility and restrictions, complete verification, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement. |
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed | The server URL or stream key is missing or incorrect, or the encoder is not running. | Recheck the values in YouTube Studio and the encoder; keep the stream key private. |
| A licensed bhajan is interrupted or the stream receives a copyright warning | The track may have matched Content ID, or the channel may not be allowlisted for that licensed track. | Pause use of the affected track, contact the relevant rights administrator, verify the permission covers the actual recording and intended use, and confirm any required allowlisting. |
| Video or audio becomes unstable | The upload connection may lack headroom or be experiencing disruption. | Check stream health, test the connection, and reduce the encoder bitrate or resolution to a sustainable setting. Retest with the recommended bandwidth headroom. |
| The playlist goes silent or the visual no longer matches the program | The playlist may have ended, playback may have stopped, or the visual/title may not fit every track. | Test the complete loop, monitor playback periodically, and use a visual and title that remain accurate throughout. |
| The full-day broadcast has no complete replay | YouTube may not capture streams exceeding 12 hours. | Use shorter sessions for replay segments or make and verify a local recording. |
