You can run a Jain stavan channel as a continuous YouTube live stream by sending a prepared playlist through an encoder or a managed cloud service. Before scheduling it, clear the rights for each song recording and composition, and ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; licensed music can still interrupt a broadcast if the channel is not allowlisted. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance explains the process.
Before you stream: clear the music and visual rights
Devotional subject matter does not make a recording free to rebroadcast. For every stavan, establish who controls both the underlying composition and the specific sound recording. Permission for one does not necessarily cover the other.
- Get permission for continuous YouTube livestreaming, the territories where viewers may watch, and monetization if you plan to monetize.
- Ask whether permission also covers retaining a replay, clips, or later reuse. Treat the live broadcast and its archive as separate uses.
- If the material is registered in Content ID, ask its owner or distributor to allowlist your channel before a live test. YouTube advises this even when you have licensed the content; otherwise a match may interrupt the stream.
- Clear images, animations, logos, lyrics, and other on-screen material separately.
- Keep written permissions and rights-holder contact details available to whoever operates the channel.
Do not assume an old text or melody, a temple performance, or a song already available on YouTube is cleared for your broadcast. Rights depend on the particular work, recording, territory, and intended use. The applicable licensing obligations also vary by jurisdiction, so confirm them with the rights holders and, where appropriate, qualified local counsel.
Finding a catalogue is not getting permission
Saregama Jain Stavans presents Jain devotional recordings; a release identifies Saregama India Limited as its label. Stavan describes a Jain music and video service. These can help you identify material or start a rights enquiry, but neither a public catalogue nor an existing upload grants permission to rebroadcast it.

Choose how to keep the broadcast running
Your stream needs a source playlist, an encoder connection to YouTube, and a plan for monitoring and recovery. Choose the operating setup based on who will maintain it and how you will respond to a stoppage.
| Setup | Useful when | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Existing computer with encoder software | You can maintain the computer and troubleshoot it. | Continuous-load stability, power and network recovery, unattended restart, and monitoring. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | You want a separate encoding appliance. | Supported input and output formats, continuous-operation support, remote monitoring, and compatibility with your YouTube workflow. |
| Managed encoding provider | You want outside operational support or redundancy. | Continuous-schedule support, who monitors and restarts the broadcast, archive arrangements, rights workflow, service terms, and actual coverage. |
YouTube’s Services Directory lists providers that may offer encoding, redundancy, or local archiving. It does not endorse a particular provider or establish that a listed service meets your 24/7 requirements; verify the specific terms and coverage directly.

Set up the YouTube broadcast
- Prepare the channel. Confirm that live streaming is enabled and check YouTube Studio for restrictions before you rely on the channel for a schedule. Eligibility and restrictions are channel-specific.
- Create the broadcast and connect an encoder. Use YouTube’s live workflow or documented broadcast-management interface, then send your program from the encoder. The YouTube Live Streaming API’s broadcast lifecycle documentation describes the broadcast lifecycle and archive-setting context.
- Protect the stream key. Use the stream key shown in your YouTube live setup to connect the encoder. Treat it as a secret: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to send a feed to your broadcast. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder.
- Rehearse privately or unlisted. Check continuous playback, audio level, visuals, stream health, and the connection’s recovery behavior. A technical rehearsal can reveal setup faults; it cannot clear rights or guarantee that Content ID will not match the later live stream.
- Start and monitor the live session. Have a person or service check YouTube’s dashboard for warnings or a stopped stream and know who is responsible for responding.
Plan for interruptions and replays
A 24/7 schedule is an operating goal, not a guarantee that a broadcast will never stop. YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, temporarily interrupt it, or terminate it. Keep the playlist and encoder configuration backed up, and decide how the operator will restore service after a power, network, or encoder failure.
Plan the archive separately. YouTube notes that archived live streams may receive Content ID claims after the stream ends. The sources do not establish that a single 24-hour event will be archived in full, so do not promise viewers a complete replay without checking current YouTube behavior and testing your intended workflow. If a replay matters, consider shorter segments or another archive workflow, and confirm that your rights cover recording and replay.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps it running without a computer, OBS, or home internet connection staying on. It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; the first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. These features do not replace music, recording, or visual permissions, or Content ID allowlisting. Start a free StreamNeo day.

Common problems and what to check
- The live stream is interrupted after music starts: Check YouTube Studio for a copyright match. If the track is licensed, contact its owner or distributor about Content ID allowlisting; a license alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
- The encoder disconnects or the broadcast stops: Check the computer or encoder, power, network, and source playlist. Follow the recovery procedure you prepared, then confirm the live session is active in YouTube before leaving it unattended.
- The broadcast works, but the replay is claimed or incomplete: Review archive and replay permissions separately from live-use permission. Check the current YouTube archive behavior and test the workflow rather than assuming a daylong stream will produce a complete replay.
- You cannot confirm whether a track is cleared: Identify the composition and recording rights holders and obtain written permission for the intended use before adding it to the live playlist.
