To run recorded yoga classes as a continuous YouTube Live broadcast, create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio and send it a looping video feed from encoder software on a computer or a cloud playout service. You need an eligible channel, a stable upload connection (for a local setup), a private stream key, and rights for every class, performance and music track. YouTube does not make a 24/7 feed loop on its own from Studio, and a continuous stream is not a dependable archive of every class.
Choose how the recorded classes will play
YouTube Live receives an ongoing feed from an encoder. The encoder can run on your computer, or a cloud service can play uploaded videos and send the feed for you. YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based example for 24/7 prerecorded streaming; that listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of availability or uptime.

There is no decision-grade price or reliability comparison for named providers in the available official material, so compare providers’ published terms rather than assuming that any service guarantees uninterrupted broadcasting.
Prepare your YouTube channel and stream
- Enable live streaming in advance. YouTube’s computer livestream guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until launch day. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
- Create an encoder stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a stream. Copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder or cloud playout service, following that service’s instructions. The key functions as the password and address for your stream: keep it private, and do not publish or send it to viewers. See YouTube’s encoder-stream setup instructions and stream settings guidance.
- Set stream details and access deliberately. Choose the title, description and privacy setting for the audience you intend to reach. Review available controls such as DVR in Live Control Room. Avoid sharing a private or unlisted link more broadly than intended.
- Configure a continuing playlist or loop. For a local setup, configure the encoder workflow to move through the recorded classes and repeat them without ending the outgoing feed. The precise controls depend on the encoder; YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains how to connect a feed, not which software settings make every encoder loop indefinitely. For a cloud provider, confirm its looping behavior and what happens if a file or connection fails.
- Preview before announcing the stream. Start with a test using representative classes, movement, spoken instruction and any music. Check the preview in Live Control Room, then verify the stream from a viewer’s device. YouTube recommends setting up in advance, previewing and monitoring audio and video continuously; see YouTube’s streaming tips.
Set video, audio and network quality
Choose an encoder output that your upload connection can sustain continuously. YouTube says the total bitrate should not exceed upload capacity and recommends keeping 20% headroom. For example, if the encoder sends a total of 6 Mbps, plan for at least 7.5 Mbps of sustained available upload capacity (6 ÷ 0.8); this is a calculation from YouTube’s headroom recommendation, not a guarantee that a connection will remain stable. - Use a reliable wired connection where possible for a computer-based broadcast, and avoid sharing its upload capacity with large transfers.
- Set the encoder’s output resolution and bitrate to match the class files, viewer needs and available bandwidth; increasing output settings cannot restore detail that is absent from a recording.
- Check that the selected encoder settings meet YouTube’s current recommendations for the chosen resolution and frame rate, including keyframe interval, codec and audio configuration. The correct values depend on the output format; do not copy settings intended for a different resolution or encoder.
- Listen for clear instruction at normal viewer volume. Yoga recordings may have quiet speech, pauses and music, so confirm that voice is understandable and that audio does not clip or disappear between classes.
For a local workflow, the computer, encoder and network must remain operational for the broadcast to continue. YouTube’s setup guidance does not specify a particular computer model or promise that a locally hosted 24/7 feed will stay uninterrupted.
Clear rights for classes, music and performers
Before streaming, check that your permissions cover making each class available live and, if applicable, archiving it. Confirm the rights for the recording, instructor and other performers, any visible third-party material, and both the composition and recording of music. Owning a video file or having permission to record a class does not by itself establish that every embedded song or performance may be broadcast and archived.

YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels and publishers. The terms also require live content to comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines and livestream terms. In India, the Copyright Act addresses communication to the public and performers’ rights concerning recordings and communication of performances. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. It may replace a stream with a placeholder and warn the creator; if matched content remains, the broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube says even licensed content can be interrupted when the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. Resolve permissions and any required allowlisting before going live; see YouTube’s guidance on live-streaming restrictions.

Plan for long broadcasts and class access
YouTube’s encoder help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its DVR help warns that DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. A single 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete archive or full rewind for viewers. See YouTube’s encoder guidance and YouTube’s DVR guidance.
If viewers need reliable on-demand access to a particular class, publish that recording separately as a video rather than relying on the continuous live broadcast to preserve it. A live loop and a library of individual classes serve different purposes.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
- Live streaming is not available in Studio: verify the channel and check for a current or recent restriction. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours for enablement.
- The encoder will not connect: check that you copied the correct stream URL and key, that the key has not been changed or exposed, and that the encoder is sending to the expected stream.
- Stream health is poor or the feed drops: compare total bitrate with sustained upload capacity, restore YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom, and check the local network or provider status. Reduce encoder output bitrate if the connection cannot sustain it.
- Viewers cannot hear instruction clearly: inspect the source recording and encoder audio meter, then test the stream from a separate device at ordinary listening volume. Check for low voice level, clipping or abrupt transitions between files.
- The live stream is replaced or interrupted: review YouTube’s copyright notification and identify the matched material. Confirm that the relevant rights cover live streaming and that any required rights-owner allowlisting is in place.
- Viewers cannot rewind or find the full broadcast afterward: check stream duration and DVR/archive behavior. For dependable access to individual sessions, upload them separately.
