You can move a playlist by importing or copying its track list into the destination service—not by exporting the audio files. If you’re moving into YouTube Music, use its built-in transfer tool: Profile > Settings > Privacy & data > Transfer playlists from other apps. For other service combinations, check whether the destination offers its own importer; otherwise, tools such as TuneMyMusic and Soundiiz can transfer playlists between supported services.
What “export a playlist” means
Playlist-transfer tools copy song references and playlist information to another service’s catalog. They do not move the audio files, and the original playlist stays in its source service. The destination must have matching catalog entries, so a transfer may omit tracks or select a different release. After a transfer, edits generally do not sync automatically between services.
The available route depends on the source and destination services, country, account permissions, and current app or plan limits. Prefer the destination service’s official import feature when it supports your source.
Import a playlist into YouTube Music
YouTube Music’s current transfer path is in the mobile app. Google says larger libraries may take longer and the transfer can run in the background; you do not need to keep the app or page open.

- Open the YouTube Music app and tap your profile icon.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & data.
- Tap Transfer playlists from other apps, then Let’s start.
- Choose the source service, sign in, and grant the requested access.
- Select the playlists you want to transfer and start the transfer.
- When prompted, sign in to your Google Account and authorize YouTube Music as the destination.
- When the transfer finishes, check your YouTube Music library and review any missing-track notice or transfer report.
The transfer copies playlists; it does not remove the originals. Google also notes that changes made in YouTube Music will not automatically sync back to the other service. Choose a transfer route for other services

To use a third-party tool, connect the source and destination accounts, choose the playlist, select the destination, and inspect the result. Both services require access to the relevant accounts. Soundiiz says you need sufficient space at the destination and may need a source-service subscription for library access; some platforms require their own paid subscription for transfers. Check the account and authorization requirements before connecting. See Soundiiz’s account-connection guidance.
Check matches and fix missing songs
A transfer tool searches the destination catalog for equivalent entries; it cannot guarantee an exact match for every recording. Songs can be absent, region-restricted, listed with different metadata, or represented by another release or remaster. An entry may also lack a useful identifier for matching.

- Review the tool’s skipped, unmatched, or missing-track list after transfer.
- Search the destination manually for songs that matter, checking the artist, release, and version—not just the title.
- Confirm that you connected the intended source account, destination account, and family profile.
- Check destination capacity, any source subscription requirement, and the tool’s current transfer limits.
- If authorization or transfer fails, reconnect the correct accounts and retry; a temporary platform API error can also interrupt a transfer.
TuneMyMusic says it flags missing tracks and offers a report; Soundiiz exposes skipped items for review. A complete playlist transfer is not assured when a destination catalog lacks the same recording.
Will the playlists stay in sync?
Do not assume that a one-time transfer creates a live link. Google says changes made in YouTube Music do not automatically sync with the other service. If you want ongoing synchronization, check whether the destination or transfer tool offers a separate sync feature for your exact service pair and plan.
