To run Bengali bhajans continuously on YouTube, first enable live streaming for an eligible, verified channel, clear rights to every recording and composition, then connect a prepared playlist and visuals through an encoder in YouTube Studio. A 24/7 stream is an operating goal—not a YouTube uptime guarantee—so plan monitoring and recovery before launch.
1. Check channel eligibility and enable live streaming
YouTube’s current guidance says the channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. The person livestreaming must be at least 16. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before announcing the stream. Check YouTube Help for the current requirements and flow, as eligibility and product screens can change.
YouTube supports webcam, mobile, encoder and console routes. For a continuous, preassembled playlist, an encoder is the natural fit: it sends prepared audio and visuals to YouTube. An encoder can be computer software or a standalone hardware device; no specific brand is required.
2. Clear the rights to the bhajans before streaming
A devotional subject, an old song, or a description such as “traditional” does not establish that a particular recording is free to use. The sound recording and the underlying composition can have separate rights. Get permission covering the livestream and any replay or archive use for both as applicable.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including other live broadcasts. If a match is detected, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder image and, if the matched content continues, temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also end a stream. If the stream is archived, Content ID claims may be made after it ends.
If you have a licence for matched material, ask the relevant rights holder to allowlist your channel through Content ID. YouTube warns that a licensed stream can still be interrupted if the channel has not been allowlisted. Do not rely on an unlisted or private stream to avoid matching; YouTube’s cited policy does not provide such an exception.

3. Prepare the playlist, visuals and operator plan
Assemble a reliable programme
Build a playlist from material you have cleared, and decide what viewers should see while it plays: for example, a suitable still image or simple devotional visuals. Set the encoder’s audio and visual sources to those assets. YouTube’s setup instructions explain the encoder connection, but do not prescribe a Bengali bhajan playlist configuration.
Choose a production path
| Option | What it requires | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Software encoder on a computer | A computer, a configured encoder application, and a network connection available for the stream. | Can be a lower-cost route if you already have suitable equipment, but the computer and connection must stay available and an operator needs a recovery plan. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | A standalone encoding device and the rest of the production setup. | Optional purchase, not a YouTube requirement. YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, but a simple playlist may not need one. |
YouTube supports software encoders and says expensive equipment is not necessary to begin. OBS is one software option; its help portal links to an x264 encoding guide. The available guidance does not establish tested OBS settings, bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval or machine specifications for this particular stream. Do not copy arbitrary values: consult YouTube’s current ingest recommendations and the encoder’s current documentation, then test with your actual connection and equipment.

Write down who checks and restores the stream
For continuous operation, assign responsibility for checking playlist progression and audio, watching stream health and the public watch page, reviewing encoder and network alerts, and restoring the feed if it stops. YouTube recommends continuous quality monitoring and testing failover in advance. Its tips also suggest checking that local archive files are growing when you rely on them.
4. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect your encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room. Create a stream there, or use the Manage tab to schedule one if you want to promote it ahead of time.
- Open the stream settings and copy the YouTube stream URL/server and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Treat the key as a secret: anyone with access to it may be able to connect an encoder. Do not put it in the description or show it on screen.
- In the encoder, select the rights-cleared bhajan playlist as the audio source and your chosen artwork or visuals as the video source. Confirm that the intended sources—not a microphone or unrelated desktop audio—are selected.
- Start the encoder and wait for the preview in Live Control Room. Check the sound and picture there, then test the public watch page and playback on a mobile device before relying on the setup.
- If you scheduled the stream, start the encoder, confirm the preview, and use Live Control Room to go live. When ending a session, end the stream in Studio and stop sending content from the encoder.
5. Plan for continuity, archives and recovery
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that an uninterrupted 24-hour session will be archived as one replay, or that YouTube guarantees an indefinitely persistent session. Decide how you will handle continuity and any desired replays rather than assuming one session will cover both.

- H.264 & H.265 Streaming to SRT or RTMP
- DCI 4K Streaming up to 60 fps
- SDI & HDMI Monitor Outputs
- USB-C for Phone Tethering & Webcam Out
- Front Panel Buttons & Spin Knob
Before launch, test the recovery procedure by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet cable, as YouTube’s live-streaming tips suggest. Confirm who notices the interruption, how the feed is restored, and whether the public watch page resumes playback. Start the encoder ahead of any announced launch, verify the preview, check channel and mobile access, and keep monitoring sound and picture during operation.
6. Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Live streaming is unavailable | The channel has not completed verification or enablement, is ineligible, or has a live-streaming restriction. | Check YouTube Studio and the current eligibility guidance. If this is first-time enablement, allow up to 24 hours. |
| Encoder will not connect | The stream URL or key is missing, incorrect, or entered into the wrong encoder field. | Compare the encoder fields with the stream settings in Live Control Room. Keep the stream key private; if it may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder. |
| Preview has no sound or the wrong picture | The encoder is using the wrong audio or visual source, or the playlist has not started. | Check the selected sources and playlist progression in the encoder, then verify the result in Live Control Room before going live. |
| Stream is interrupted after starting | A third-party content match, a strike, or an encoder or network failure may be involved. | Check Live Control Room for notices and encoder/network alerts. For licensed matched material, contact the rights holder about channel allowlisting. Use the written recovery plan for technical interruptions. |
| Playback works in preview but not for viewers | The public watch page, stream status or viewer access has not been checked. | Test the public page from a separate device, including a mobile device, before treating the stream as ready. |
| No single replay appears for a long continuous session | YouTube’s stated automatic archive behavior covers streams under 12 hours; it does not establish a single replay for an uninterrupted 24-hour session. | Plan archive needs separately and consult YouTube’s current encoder and archiving guidance. |
