1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsA changed public IP address does not normally require a new YouTube stream key or a static IP. YouTube’s encoder setup uses a server URL and stream key; an ISP reconnection may still interrupt the encoder’s internet connection. First check whether the router is back online and the encoder is sending again. If you want a prerecorded yoga relaxation video to keep looping without relying on your home connection, a cloud service is another option.
What changes when your ISP assigns a new IP address?
Your encoder sends video to YouTube using the server URL and stream key configured for the live stream. YouTube’s setup instructions do not identify a fixed public IP address as a normal prerequisite for this workflow (YouTube’s encoder setup guide). A change to your home internet connection’s public IP may happen alongside a router or ISP reconnection, and that interruption can stop the encoder from sending data. The IP change by itself does not establish why a particular stream dropped.
Keep the distinction clear: the encoder-to-YouTube connection carries the live feed; the YouTube live page is where viewers watch it. Restoring the encoder connection may restore the feed, but changing an IP address is not itself a reason to change the stream key.
Restore the stream after an ISP reconnection
- Confirm internet access at the encoder. Check that the router has reconnected and that the computer or device running your encoder can reach the internet. If the router is still offline or repeatedly reconnecting, contact your ISP or investigate the router connection before changing YouTube settings.
- Check the encoder’s status and log. Look for whether it is sending data, reconnecting, or reporting a start or connection error. Note the error and its time rather than assuming the IP change is the cause.
- Verify the stream details in YouTube Studio. Open the current stream in Live Control Room and confirm its server URL and stream key. YouTube describes the stream key as the information the encoder uses to send the feed. Keep it private; do not reset it just because your ISP assigned a new IP.
- If the encoder reports a start error, check the key. YouTube’s troubleshooting guidance recommends verifying the stream key in Live Control Room and updating the encoder if needed (YouTube live-stream troubleshooting). If you do replace the key, update the encoder to match before trying to start again.
- Use the RTMPS endpoint if that is your chosen connection method. Select or copy the RTMPS server URL from Live Control Room and configure it with the stream key. YouTube describes RTMPS as RTMP protected by TLS/SSL (YouTube’s RTMPS instructions). Encryption does not make a connection immune to an ISP outage or reconnection.
- Check whether the live feed is actually running. Once the encoder is sending again, confirm the stream status in Live Control Room and view the live page. If the encoder says it is sending but the page is not live, use YouTube’s stream status and troubleshooting information to narrow down the issue.
Find out whether the IP change caused the drop
An IP change and a stream interruption happening at about the same time do not prove that the address change caused the interruption. To diagnose a recurring problem, compare the times in your router’s WAN status and event log, the encoder’s reconnect or error log, and any ISP outage or reconnection notice. This can help distinguish a new public IP with no substantial outage from a router WAN event, a CGNAT-related address change, or a broader loss of internet access. The available information here cannot determine which occurred on your connection.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Record the time the stream stopped or restarted.
- Check the router’s WAN status and event log for a disconnect, reconnect, or address change at that time.
- Check the encoder log for lost connection, reconnect attempts, or a stream-key error.
- Ask your ISP whether it recorded an outage or reconnection matching those times.
Do you need a static IP address?
For the YouTube encoder workflow described above, a static public IP is not presented as a normal YouTube Live requirement. Do not order a static-IP service solely on the assumption that it will prevent this YouTube stream from dropping; the cause needs to be diagnosed first.
Some services have separate IP requirements. For example, India’s National Informatics Centre describes a static public IP requirement for its own webcast service so that the address can be shared for whitelisting (NIC Webcast Services). That service-specific rule is not evidence that YouTube Live requires a static IP.

Choose an approach for a yoga relaxation stream
If you are streaming a live camera or another real-time source, you need an encoder connection that can send that source to YouTube; StreamNeo is not a camera encoder. If your yoga relaxation stream is prerecorded video that you want to play continuously, you can either run your own encoder at home or use a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Neither approach can establish the cause of an ISP problem after the fact, but cloud playback does not depend on your home computer or home internet connection staying online.

For prerecorded yoga relaxation videos, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube stream looping from the cloud. The steps are: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The Monthly price is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo for details, or start your free day.
