There is no independently verified universal “best” budget VPS for a 24/7 YouTube stream in India. For self-managed relaying, Inservers is a directly documented India-based candidate: its provider page advertises a New Delhi streaming VPS starting at ₹880/month and describes RTMP relay to YouTube. That is a provider claim, not independent proof of sustained performance or uptime. If your stream is prerecorded and you would rather not administer a server, compare managed cloud-looping services instead.
Before choosing, establish whether you need to relay an already-encoded stream or continuously encode video, calculate the stream’s monthly data use, and verify the exact location, transfer terms, renewal cost, and recovery setup. A VPS plan’s headline bandwidth or port speed does not by itself establish that a 24/7 stream will be stable.
Which option should you consider first?
- For prerecorded video and the least server administration: StreamNeo is #1 to consider: it loops uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free. See StreamNeo.
- For a self-managed relay in India: Inservers is a documented starting point to investigate because its own page lists a New Delhi streaming VPS and RTMP-to-YouTube use case.
- For an international cloud-plan comparison: DigitalOcean publishes a plan with a specified transfer allowance and lists Bangalore as a datacenter location; confirm that the exact plan size is deployable there.
- For prerecorded streams on a managed service: StreamSetu is another option to compare, with quality-specific pricing and terms to verify.
No independent comparative uptime, route-quality, or stream-performance results were established for these VPS providers. Treat provider specifications as claims to verify, not tested outcomes.
First decide what the VPS must do
Relay an already-encoded stream
A relay forwards a stream that is already encoded. This is a different workload from rendering or transcoding video and generally does not require the same continuous CPU capacity. Confirm how your chosen software handles the input, output, reconnects, and monitoring; the provider’s plan description alone does not establish that the stream will recover reliably.

#1 Best Overall
Encode or transcode video continuously
Encoding or transcoding adds substantial CPU demand compared with forwarding an existing encoded stream. Size the server for the actual codec, resolution, frame rate, and number of simultaneous outputs, and test the workload on the intended plan. Do not infer encoding capacity from a provider’s general “streaming VPS” label.
Loop prerecorded material
If the source is uploaded video or a playlist rather than a live camera, a managed cloud service may remove the need to configure and maintain a VPS. Check that the service supports your exact playback workflow and destination. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and playlists to YouTube; it does not provide a live camera feed.

Estimate the monthly transfer requirement
Use the stream’s total bitrate, including audio, rather than the video bitrate alone. A decimal estimate is:
total Mbps Ă— 10.8 GB per day Ă— 30 days
At a total rate of 8 Mbps, that works out to about 2.59 TB over 30 days; at 12 Mbps total, about 3.89 TB. These are calculations from bitrate and elapsed time, not published provider allowances. The estimate excludes additional overhead, so leave room above it and confirm how the provider counts traffic.

YouTube’s H.264 video recommendations are 8 Mbps for 720p30 or 720p60, 10 Mbps for 1080p30, and 12 Mbps for 1080p60. These are video rates: add audio and protocol overhead when estimating traffic. YouTube also lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265, and AV1 options; its general encoder guidance specifies AAC or MP3 audio, CBR encoding, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guidance.
A 1 Gbps port is a peak link rate, not an included monthly transfer allowance and not proof of route quality to YouTube’s ingest endpoint.

India VPS and managed-service options to compare
| Option | Published details | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo (managed cloud service) | Loops uploaded videos and playlists to YouTube from the cloud; one flat price per slot for uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps. The first day is free, with no card. | Confirm the current plan and fit for your prerecorded YouTube workflow. It is not a VPS and does not stream a camera feed. |
| Inservers Streaming VPS | Inservers advertises a New Delhi location and an IN-BASIC starting price of ₹880/month, with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe, a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink, and RTMP relay to YouTube. Provider page accessed 2026-10-03. | Checkout and renewal price, tax, exact transfer policy and fair-use terms, route to the selected YouTube ingest endpoint, recovery setup, and sustained performance. The published specifications do not establish independent uptime or quality results. |
| DigitalOcean Basic Droplet | Its official pricing page lists $18/month for a Basic configuration with 2 vCPUs, 2 GiB memory, 60 GiB SSD, and 3,000 GiB transfer. The page lists Bangalore among datacenter locations; pricing page accessed 2026-10-03. | Confirm the exact plan size is available in Bangalore, plus current transfer or overage terms and total cost. The published page does not prove this precise plan can be deployed in that location. |
| StreamSetu (managed service) | Its pricing page says prerecorded streams run in the cloud, can reconnect automatically, and start from $5/month per live channel; the exact charge varies by selected quality. One output to one platform counts as a channel. Pricing page accessed 2026-10-03. | Current quality-specific charge, storage and retention, channel count, platform behavior, billing, and support terms. |
StreamSetu is a managed service rather than a VPS. The Inservers and DigitalOcean figures are provider-published offers, not independent performance measurements.
How to choose a budget VPS without buying the wrong plan
- Choose the workload: establish whether you are forwarding an already-encoded feed or encoding/transcoding on the server. Ask the provider whether the intended plan and permitted use fit that workload.
- Check the actual location: confirm the selected plan can be provisioned in the stated Indian datacenter. Then test the route from that server to the YouTube ingest endpoint you will use; a location label alone does not prove a good route.
- Compare transfer to your estimate: match the included monthly quota to your total bitrate calculation, add headroom, and get the overage and fair-use rules in writing.
- Calculate the real recurring cost: check taxes, billing period, renewal price, add-ons, and any charges for extra data or storage—not just the advertised starting price.
- Plan recovery and monitoring: determine how the encoder or relay restarts after a process failure or dropped connection, and how you will notice a failure. Do not assume the VPS automatically recovers a YouTube stream.
- Run a representative test: YouTube recommends testing before going live with audio and video movement similar to the planned stream, then monitoring stream health. Test on the selected plan and route before relying on it for continuous playback. The guidance is at YouTube Help.
VPS, or a managed cloud loop?
A VPS gives you server-level control, but you are responsible for configuring the relay or encoder, supervising it, and arranging recovery. For a prerecorded YouTube stream, a managed cloud service can be a better fit when reducing server administration matters more than controlling the underlying machine. Compare services on supported playback workflow, quality, storage, recovery behavior, channel or slot limits, and billing—not on the VPS label alone.

Stream and YouTube checks before you depend on a VPS
- Use YouTube’s recommended encoder settings as a starting point, not a guarantee that a particular VPS route or plan is suitable.
- Test audio, moving video, bitrate stability, and stream health before relying on continuous output. YouTube says tests should include audio and movement similar to the planned stream.
- Use material you have the rights to stream and review YouTube’s applicable copyright and monetization policies. A VPS or looping tool does not grant content rights or guarantee monetization.
- Keep a recovery plan for both the relay process and a dropped YouTube connection; a fast port alone is not a recovery mechanism.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a 1 Gbps VPS port mean I can stream at 1 Gbps all month?
No. Port speed is a peak link rate; check the plan’s included transfer, overage terms, and fair-use policy separately.
Can I use StreamNeo for a live camera feed?
No. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera.
