To keep a meditation video live on YouTube around the clock, send YouTube a continuous feed from an encoder or a hosted cloud service. YouTube does not turn an uploaded video into a live stream by itself. First confirm your channel is eligible, clear the rights for every audio and visual element, choose where playback will run, and test the broadcast before sharing it.
What a 24/7 YouTube meditation stream requires
A live stream is an ongoing audio-video transmission to YouTube. For a prerecorded meditation program, an encoder plays your prepared video or playlist and sends that feed to YouTube. You can run the encoder on a computer that stays on, or use a cloud service that plays uploaded files and sends the feed for you. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes continuous 24/7 broadcasts, though a third-party service’s interface may not expose every API workflow.
Plan for continuity rather than assuming that one upload creates a permanent broadcast: the playback source, connection to YouTube, channel eligibility, and rights to the content all matter.
Check YouTube eligibility and channel limits
YouTube’s current help guidance says a channel must be verified, must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Check the current Live Control Room for your channel’s status and any updated requirements before preparing a launch.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube currently states a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key, applied simultaneously. That limit is unlikely to matter for a single meditation broadcast, but it is relevant if you plan multiple concurrent feeds. YouTube can also restrict live streaming for policy violations; all live content must follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
Clear the rights to every track and visual
Before you broadcast, document that you own or have permission to use every song, ambient recording, image, animation, and video in the stream. A track being online, instrumental, partly self-produced, or labeled “royalty-free” does not by itself establish that its license permits continuous live use on YouTube. Read the actual license for the intended use, and ask the rights holder for clarification if its scope is unclear.
YouTube for Artists specifically advises coordinating with a label or distributor before using copyright-protected music in a live stream. Its guidance notes that this can help avoid issues such as copyright strikes. A rights check cannot guarantee that a stream will avoid claims or restrictions, so keep permission records accessible and respond to any platform notices.
Follow YouTube’s current policies for the entire broadcast, not only the opening segment. Do not assume that looping a video makes copyrighted material permissible or that a live stream will be approved for monetization. Monetization features are conditional on creator eligibility and current YouTube policies.

Choose where the stream will run
| Consideration | Local encoder | Cloud looping service |
|---|---|---|
| What sends the feed | Encoder software running on your computer sends audio and video to YouTube. | The service plays your uploaded media and sends the feed to YouTube. |
| Computer and internet | Your computer, power, and internet connection must remain available; your connection carries the outgoing stream. | The provider describes its workflow as running playback without your personal computer staying online and without continuous local upload of the stream. |
| Control and upkeep | You control encoder settings, files, and the local setup, and are responsible for monitoring and restarting it. | Playlist management can be remote, but you depend on the provider’s service, limits, and availability. |
| Questions to resolve | Can your machine and network run unattended, and how will you notice and recover from a failure? | Check current storage, stream-hour and simultaneous-stream limits, pricing, recovery behavior, and media-retention terms before committing. |
The cloud column describes provider workflows, not independent reliability testing. No delivery method guarantees uninterrupted broadcasting: platform outages, invalid stream keys, source-file problems, or local equipment and network failures can stop a feed.
Prepare the meditation program
Build a deliberate playlist
Arrange recordings in the order you want viewers to hear them. Check the end of each file and the transition into the next: abrupt silence, a clipped meditation, unexpected changes in loudness, or a visible black frame can be distracting in a long session. If a single video will repeat, watch and listen across its loop boundary. These are practical checks, not a guarantee of how every viewer’s device or connection will render the stream.
Check the full program before broadcast
- Confirm every file plays from beginning to end and that the playlist order is correct.
- Listen for clipping, unexpectedly loud sections, long gaps, or transitions that interrupt the intended atmosphere.
- Review the visuals for rights, unwanted overlays, black frames, and material that could violate YouTube policy.
- Keep a copy of the media and the relevant permissions or licenses in a place you can access if the stream is challenged.
Set up a local encoder
Use this route if you want direct control of the encoder and can keep the computer, power, and internet available. YouTube supports encoder-based streaming. Its general guidance describes equipment such as microphones, cameras, and preamps as possible parts of an encoder setup; those are not required merely to play a prepared meditation recording.
- Enable live streaming: In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and confirm that the channel can go live. Complete verification or any current eligibility steps YouTube presents.
- Create the broadcast: In the Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream and choose the intended visibility. Use an unlisted broadcast for a private technical test.
- Copy the stream key: Copy the key shown in YouTube’s live setup and enter it in your encoder’s YouTube/RTMP destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control your broadcast.
- Load the prepared media: Configure the encoder to play the meditation video or playlist continuously. Set its loop or playlist behavior deliberately, then check the start, transitions, and repeat point.
- Start the encoder and verify the feed: Confirm that YouTube receives the video and audio in the Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. Review the on-screen connection status and watch the stream as a viewer would.
- Keep the system available: Leave the computer powered, prevent sleep from stopping the encoder, and maintain a reliable internet connection. Decide how you will notice a disconnection and restart playback if the encoder, computer, router, or power fails.
The evidence available here does not establish a best encoder, computer specification, bitrate, resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval, or minimum upload speed for your particular setup. Use YouTube’s current encoder guidance and the software’s current settings, and do not copy arbitrary values without checking compatibility with your source and connection.

Set up a cloud looping workflow
A hosted workflow replaces the always-on local playback computer with provider infrastructure. In general, you upload prepared media, organize a playlist, connect YouTube with the stream key, and start the broadcast. Before choosing a provider, confirm its current storage allowance, simultaneous-stream and stream-hour limits, pricing, retention terms, and what happens after YouTube disconnects the feed.
For a meditation channel that wants an uploaded video or playlist to continue playing while the creator’s computer is off, StreamNeo is the recommended cloud option here: it keeps a YouTube stream running from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
Or let it run in the cloud
- Upload your meditation recording or build a playlist.
- Add your YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo plays the uploaded media from the cloud.
Nothing has to stay on at home. Your video streams as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; StreamNeo says it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly: $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India, and card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. Review the current offer and terms on StreamNeo pricing, then start your free day.
Test before announcing the stream
YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test before a planned go-live date, particularly for a high-investment production. Use the test to inspect the whole viewing experience rather than only checking that the encoder connects.

- Watch the picture and listen to the audio from a separate viewer session.
- Check audio levels and transitions between recordings.
- Observe a full loop boundary or playlist transition.
- Briefly interrupt the connection or playback only if you can do so safely, then check how the setup behaves when service resumes.
- Verify the stream’s title, visibility, and other displayed details before making it public.
After launch, monitor the public broadcast and keep a way to check its status. A successful test confirms only the conditions tested; it does not guarantee uninterrupted operation later.

YouTube will not let the channel go live
Check verification, live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, the streamer’s age eligibility, and any instructions in the Live Control Room. YouTube requirements or account status may change, so rely on the current channel-specific message rather than an old setup guide.
YouTube does not receive the encoder feed
Check that the encoder is pointed at the intended YouTube destination, that the correct stream key was entered, and that the key has not been changed or revoked. Confirm that the encoder is actually playing media and that the local internet connection is available. If you suspect the key has been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder.
The stream stops after running for a while
For a local setup, check whether the computer slept, lost power or network, or whether the encoder stopped. For a cloud setup, check the provider’s status and limits, the source file, and whether the stream key remains valid. A platform outage can also interrupt delivery; restart or reconnect according to the service’s current controls and verify the returning feed in YouTube.

Audio or video is missing, abrupt, or out of sync
Inspect the source file and the encoder’s playback and audio configuration. Listen to the affected transition and check the source itself before changing settings. If the problem appears only at a repeat boundary, review the end and beginning of the file or playlist order.
You receive a copyright notice or restriction
Review the notice and the rights documentation for the specific track or visual. A generic royalty-free label is not a substitute for checking whether the license covers continuous YouTube live use. Contact the relevant rights holder, label, or distributor when the permission is uncertain, and follow YouTube’s current appeal or resolution process where appropriate.
Costs and practical trade-offs
A local setup may avoid a recurring cloud-service fee, but it still requires suitable hardware, power, a dependable connection, and time to maintain and monitor the system. A cloud service shifts playback and outgoing delivery away from your home setup but brings provider limits, pricing, and service availability into the decision. Compare current terms rather than assuming one route is universally cheaper.
StreamNeo charges per slot with the same product across billing lengths: Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, playlists and 24/7 looping, automatic recovery if YouTube drops, and team support. You can cancel any time; check the pricing page for current terms.
