There are three Dragon Ball sets in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and each summons a different dragon: collect regular Dragon Balls for Shenron, Super Dragon Balls for Super Shenron, or Namekian Dragon Balls for Porunga. Regular and Namekian balls can drop randomly from offline P1-vs-CPU battles; Super Dragon Balls come from Episode Battle progress. Once you have seven of a set, open Come Forth and choose the matching dragon.
How to get regular Dragon Balls for Shenron
- Claim the one-time challenge rewards. Go to Challenges & Missions → Whis’s Stamp Book and complete the challenges marked with a Shenron icon. Redeem their gifts there, then collect the related gifts under Zen-Oh’s Orders. PowerPyx’s October 9, 2024 guide says this route does not respawn, so treat it as a one-time source: PowerPyx’s regular Dragon Ball guide.
- Earn more through offline battles. Play offline P1-vs-CPU matches; regular Dragon Balls are random match rewards. PowerPyx estimated the chance at roughly 10%—about one ball per ten wins on average. That is a guide estimate from 2024, not an official Bandai Namco drop rate or a verified rate for the current build. Its guide says the map and characters do not matter and suggests using a low-health CPU opponent to shorten fights.
- Summon Shenron. After collecting seven regular Dragon Balls, choose Come Forth → Summon Shenron.
How to get Super Dragon Balls for Super Shenron
- Complete Goku’s Saga in Episode Battle. PowerPyx’s October 7, 2024 guide says finishing it awards seven Super Dragon Balls automatically.
- Look for additional Episode Battle rewards. Some optional sub-chapters award further Super Dragon Balls. The guide names a Jiren Tournament of Power sub-chapter as one example; it does not provide a complete list of every eligible chapter.
- Summon Super Shenron. With seven Super Dragon Balls, choose Come Forth → Summon Super Shenron. The route details are from PowerPyx’s Super Dragon Ball guide.
How to get Namekian Dragon Balls for Porunga
- Play offline P1-vs-CPU matches. Namekian Dragon Balls are random rewards and can appear instead of regular Dragon Balls. PowerPyx’s October 8, 2024 guide estimates a roughly 5% chance—about one Namekian ball per 20 match wins on average. This is the guide’s estimate, not an official published rate or a confirmed current-build statistic.
- Summon Porunga. After collecting seven Namekian Dragon Balls, choose Come Forth → Summon Porunga. See PowerPyx’s Namekian Dragon Ball guide.
Which dragon should you summon?
Choose according to the reward you want and how you prefer to earn the set. Story progress guarantees the Super Dragon Ball route described above; regular and Namekian balls rely on random match rewards after the one-time Shenron challenge rewards. Porunga offers three wishes per summon, while Shenron and Super Shenron offer their own wish menus.

There is no universally best wish established by these options: weigh the particular reward against the time you are willing to spend on story chapters or repeat battles, how many picks a summon grants, and whether the item may later be available in the shop.
Do editions include a bonus summon?
Bandai Namco’s official product page distinguishes an Ultimate Edition bonus to summon Super Shenron from a Season Pass bonus to summon Shenron. Check the contents for your specific edition and platform; buying an edition is not a gameplay method for earning extra Dragon Balls. The official page includes September 2026 update notices, but neither it nor the consulted 2024 guides establish that every older guide detail or drop estimate is unchanged in the current build.
