You can sell custom merch with Streamlabs by creating a product listing in its Merch Store dashboard, setting a retail price, publishing the storefront, and sharing its link with your audience. Streamlabs says it handles ordering, printing, packing, and shipping, so you do not need to hold inventory yourself. Catalog options, shipping estimates, and dashboard labels can change; check the current dashboard and product details before publishing.
What you need before you start
Prepare artwork such as a logo or other image, decide which products suit your audience, and have a Streamlabs account. Streamlabs’ setup guide names Canva as one option for making a logo and Fiverr as a place to hire a designer; neither is required. Use artwork you have the right to use, including any logos, photographs, and fonts.
Streamlabs’ April 25, 2025 guide described 19 T-shirt types, two mug types, and four hoodie or sweatshirt types in its free options, with additional premium products for Streamlabs Ultra users, including backpacks, notebooks, hats, bean bags, phone cases, tote bags, and mousepads. Those are dated vendor catalog descriptions, not a guarantee of what is available now; confirm the current selection and any plan requirements in the dashboard.
Create a product listing
- Open the Merch Store. Sign in at Streamlabs.com and open the Merch Store dashboard. Choose the option to create a new item.
- Choose a product. Select a product category and item. You can create listings one at a time or, where available, use the Evergreen bundle described by Streamlabs to create several products from one design.
- Upload and position your artwork. Add an image, then use the editor’s guides to size and place it on the product. The setup guide also describes adding image or text layers. Preview the item and check that the design is legible and positioned as intended across the offered variants.
- Choose variants and add listing details. Select available options such as apparel colors, then enter the product name and other requested details.
- Set the retail price. Review the item’s minimum retail price and set your price above it if you want a margin. Streamlabs says the difference is creator profit before standard PayPal fees; its guide does not state the fee amount.
- Publish. Review the product preview, details, variants, and price, then publish the listing.
Price merch with the margin in mind
Streamlabs’ example uses a T-shirt with a $15 minimum retail price. At that minimum, the creator makes no profit; at a $25 retail price, the example says the difference is $10 before standard PayPal fees. That is not a promised net payout. The cited guide does not give a fee rate, payout schedule, tax treatment, or all conditions that may affect an individual account, so check current seller information for those details.

Consider what your audience is likely to pay as well as the margin you want. A high price may increase the amount left before fees per sale but can make the item less accessible. Streamlabs also says creators can buy their own merch at a lower price to inspect print and product quality. Treat a sample as a way to judge the actual item before promoting it; quality has not been independently assessed here.
Customize the storefront
After adding at least one item, customize the store to make it recognizable and easy to browse. Streamlabs documents options for a clean, grid, or card layout; an avatar or text header; a banner; product categories; and theme, background color, font, and font color. Its setup guide suggests a banner size of 1106 × 508 pixels. Because interface options may change, follow the dimensions and controls shown in your current editor.
Publish and promote the store
Once the storefront and listings are ready, share the store link where viewers already find your work. Streamlabs suggests adding it to a tip page or Twitch panel, while its YouTube merch guide recommends putting the link in video or live-stream descriptions. Choose only placements that match the platforms you actually use.

- Tell viewers what the design or item represents rather than relying on a link alone.
- Streamlabs suggests featuring merch in videos or streams, wearing it on camera, refreshing designs, and planning launches, giveaways, limited editions, or design contests. These are promotional ideas, not guaranteed ways to generate sales.
- Check that the listing link opens correctly and that product details and prices remain accurate when you promote it.
What Streamlabs says about fulfillment
Streamlabs’ support pages say it handles ordering, printing, packing, and shipping. Its setup guide reports an average of 3–7 business days for printing and shipping, but that is the vendor’s estimate, not a delivery guarantee; destination, shipping service, and other factors can affect when a buyer receives an order. The guide also described three fulfillment centers at the time represented by that page—two in the United States and one in Europe. Do not assume that network or a delivery timeframe is current for every product and destination. Check the current product and shipping information before setting buyer expectations.
The same setup guide says 99% of its merch is printed using direct-to-garment (DTG), but does not give a reporting period or independent methodology for that figure. Treat it as Streamlabs’ own statement, not an independently verified measure.

Common issues to check before launch
- Artwork looks misplaced or too small: return to the product editor, use its positioning guides, and preview the item again before publishing.
- A product or variant is missing: availability can vary or change. Verify the current catalog and any plan requirements in your account rather than relying on older catalog counts.
- The expected margin is unclear: compare your price with the listing’s minimum retail price and allow for standard PayPal fees. The cited example does not establish your net payout.
- A buyer asks when an order will arrive: do not promise the guide’s average estimate as a deadline. Direct the buyer to current order and shipping information for their destination.
- The store is not getting visits: check that the link is correct and visible in the descriptions, panels, or pages where your audience already engages with you.
