A scheduled live studio broadcast also does not start by itself: the host must enter the studio and click Go Live.
What StreamYard can and cannot start automatically

Which option fits your goal?
If you want a live studio show
Schedule the broadcast to announce it to viewers, then plan for the host to enter the studio and click Go Live at the appointed time. Scheduling the announcement is not the same as automatically starting the live show.
If you want one recording to start unattended
Use StreamYard’s pre-recorded streaming workflow: choose a past broadcast or upload a video file, select destinations, set the date and time, and create the broadcast. StreamYard says the video begins at the scheduled time and the stream ends when the video finishes. That documented feature is for a selected recording or file, not a YouTube playlist.

If you want a YouTube playlist to run continuously
StreamYard’s published guides do not establish a way to hand it a YouTube playlist and have it play the list automatically. A scheduled live show and a scheduled pre-recorded video are separate workflows; neither documentation set describes playlist playback.
