Streamlabs Desktop can schedule a YouTube livestream event, but scheduling the event does not schedule a playlist of prerecorded videos to play automatically. You still need to connect an encoder and send a live feed when the event is due. Here’s how to schedule the event and check that the broadcast is ready.
First, clarify what you’re scheduling
A scheduled livestream event creates an upcoming YouTube event and watch page with a start time and details. A playlist of video files playing one after another is different: Streamlabs’ scheduling guide documents event scheduling, not unattended playback of a prerecorded-video playlist. Its Media Share feature is for viewer-requested videos, not playlist scheduling. (Streamlabs scheduling guide; Streamlabs Media Share guide)
If you mean an event for a livestream you will broadcast through Streamlabs, use the steps below. If you mean a prerecorded playlist that should run unattended, the documented Streamlabs scheduler workflow does not establish that capability.
Schedule the event in Streamlabs Desktop

Open Streamlabs Desktop and go to Stream Scheduler. Create an event for YouTube, then choose the date and time.

Enter the event title and description. Add a thumbnail, category, and privacy setting if those options are available in your scheduler.

Save the event, then check YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room to confirm it appears under the correct channel with the intended time and details. Streamlabs’ guide says events can be scheduled months in advance; confirm the current interface and account options because features can change. (Streamlabs scheduling guide)
Schedule natively in YouTube Studio instead
YouTube Studio provides its own event-scheduling route: YouTube Studio → Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream. Create a new stream or reuse settings from a previous one, then set the event details. This is useful if you prefer to manage the event in YouTube rather than in the same app as your encoder. Whether you schedule through Streamlabs or YouTube Studio, verify the event in Live Control Room and make sure it belongs to the channel you intend to broadcast on. YouTube says scheduled streams may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, where viewers can choose Notify me. (YouTube: Manage live stream settings)

Before broadcast time, connect Streamlabs Desktop to the correct YouTube channel and scheduled event. If you are configuring it as an encoder, get the stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room and enter them in the encoder as required.

Treat the stream key as a credential. If it is compromised, a channel owner or manager can reset it in YouTube; after resetting it, update the key in Streamlabs or the encoder will not be able to send the stream. (YouTube: Manage live stream settings)

Start the encoder before the event and wait for the preview to appear in Live Control Room. For an encoder-based scheduled stream, YouTube’s instructions say to click Go live there after the preview appears. Scheduling creates the event; it does not start the encoder or send video by itself. (YouTube: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder)

YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours before the event.

Start the encoder at least 15 minutes before the event.

Check the Live Control Room preview before starting the broadcast.

The event is scheduled, but no video is showing
Confirm Streamlabs is connected to the correct channel and event, start the encoder, and wait for the preview in Live Control Room. The scheduled event alone does not supply a feed.

The stream is sending, but the event is not live
Check the Live Control Room for the correct scheduled event and its preview. For an encoder-based event, follow YouTube’s flow and click Go live after the preview appears.
The encoder no longer connects after a key reset
Replace the old stream key in Streamlabs with the current key shown in YouTube Live Control Room.
You expected a prerecorded playlist to play automatically
The event scheduler is not documented as a prerecorded-playlist player. Streamlabs Media Share is a separate viewer-request feature and does not establish automatic playlist playback. (Streamlabs Media Share guide)
