To make a playlist owned by a different YouTube channel, create a new playlist while signed in to the destination channel, then add the source playlist’s videos to it. Saving or sharing the original only gives you access to that existing playlist; it does not create a destination-owned copy. For a whole-channel move, use YouTube’s separate Brand Account transfer process, which can delete content already on the destination channel.

Recreate the playlist under the new channel
YouTube’s standard interface instructions cover saving and sharing playlists; they do not establish a one-click clone action. The official technical route is to create a playlist under the destination channel, retrieve the source playlist items, and insert those videos into the new list using the YouTube Data API.
1. Sign in as the destination channel and create a playlist
Make sure the active YouTube channel is the one that should own the copy. Create a new playlist there and note its ID if you will use the API. The API’s playlists.insert method creates a playlist; the implementation guide describes the workflow.
2. Retrieve the source playlist’s video entries
Use playlistItems.list to list the source playlist items. For private material, the authorized account must have the necessary access. A video can be listed in the source but still be inaccessible to the destination account.

3. Insert the videos into the destination playlist
For each accessible video, use playlistItems.insert with the destination playlist ID and the video resource ID, authorized through OAuth. The API inserts playlist items individually; this is a technical workflow rather than a single interface command.
4. Verify contents and order
Compare the destination list with the source for missing videos and ordering. The API represents item position, but setting a specific position requires the destination playlist to use Manual ordering. Do not assume that creating a new list reproduces every source-playlist attribute. YouTube’s insertion documentation also identifies inaccessible items and playlists that have reached their maximum number of items as possible failure conditions.

If you only need access to the existing playlist
Save it to your Library
Saving a playlist makes it easier to find from your account, but it remains the source playlist rather than a new list owned by another channel. YouTube’s Save playlists instructions describe this Library behavior.
Share its URL
Copy and share the playlist URL if other people only need to open the original. Viewers need an invitation to access private videos; private videos will not play for people who have not been granted access. Sharing does not transfer ownership or make a copy. See YouTube’s playlist sharing help.

When a whole-channel transfer is the right answer
If your actual goal is to move the existing channel and its content, rather than make a second playlist, consult YouTube’s Brand Account channel-move guidance. Transfers are subject to eligibility conditions, including the relevant Brand Account and ownership requirements. The replacement step can permanently delete the destination channel’s content, including its playlists, so inspect the selected accounts and destination content carefully before proceeding.
If another person only needs to help manage the existing channel, consider role-based channel permissions instead. YouTube says channel permissions do not support transferring ownership to another user; see YouTube’s channel permissions help.
