Try it while signed in to an account eligible to watch the video: open the video, select More > Save, then choose a playlist. YouTube documents this standard playlist method, but its help pages do not expressly confirm that every age-restricted video can be added.
How to try adding the video
- Sign in to YouTube and open the age-restricted video. YouTube says age-restricted videos are not viewable by signed-out users or people under 18. In some regions, viewers may also be asked to verify their age. YouTube: age-restricted content
- Select More > Save.
- Choose an existing playlist, or select the option to create one. On mobile, YouTube’s instructions also use More > Save.
- Look for YouTube’s confirmation that the video was saved to the playlist.
These are YouTube’s documented playlist steps, not a guarantee that the Save option will be available for every age-restricted video. YouTube: create and manage playlists
What adding it to a playlist does—and does not do
A playlist does not remove the video’s age restriction. It does not make the video viewable to signed-out users or people under 18. YouTube also says age-restricted videos cannot be watched on most third-party websites; viewers are redirected to YouTube. YouTube: age-restricted content
If “Save” is missing
YouTube’s playlist instructions reviewed here do not specify an age-restriction-specific fix for a missing Save control. The Made for Kids rule is separate: a video or channel marked Made for Kids cannot be added to a playlist from the homepage, but YouTube says it can be added from search results.
