To broadcast several prerecorded videos as one scheduled YouTube live event in OneStream Live, connect your YouTube channel, open Pre-recorded Stream, add the files, choose YouTube as the destination, enter the stream details, and schedule the broadcast. OneStream queues the selected videos in sequence. Playlist streaming is documented for Professional and Enterprise plans, not Free.
Before you set up the playlist
This workflow is for prerecorded video files, not a live camera feed or a continuous 24/7 stream. OneStream lets you select files from your device, its OSL Storage library, or cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox. The documented setup does not require a camera, microphone, capture card, or hardware encoder.
Check that playlist creation is available on your plan before preparing the event. OneStream’s help documentation lists Professional and Enterprise as eligible, and says playlist creation and streaming are unavailable on Free. Plan terms can change; if your dashboard differs, confirm access in your account. OneStream’s Free-plan documentation also lists a 15-minute prerecorded-stream duration, maximum 720p resolution, and 1 GB of uploaded video/media storage; those are Free-plan limits, not general YouTube limits.
Connect your YouTube channel
- In the OneStream Live dashboard, open Social Platforms.
- Choose Add Platform, or select Connect beside YouTube.
- Select YouTube, choose the account and channel category, then complete the connection.
- Return to Social Platforms and confirm that the YouTube account appears as connected.
Connect the channel before building the prerecorded stream so it is available when you select a destination.

Create a scheduled stream from multiple files
- Open Pre-recorded Stream in the OneStream dashboard.
- Choose Add Videos. Select videos from your device, OSL Storage, or a connected cloud source such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Select the files you want in the broadcast and continue. The chosen videos form the playlist and are queued in sequence.
- Select YouTube as the destination and continue.
- Enter the stream details requested in the dashboard, then schedule the broadcast.
- Review the destination, schedule, and selected videos before the event begins.
OneStream describes this as queuing multiple videos to play back-to-back as a single live broadcast. Its instructions do not establish a per-file transition editor or guarantee gapless transitions in every case, so do not assume you can configure transitions or that there can never be a pause between files.
Prepare YouTube and the audience for the event
Google/YouTube’s Live Streaming Guide recommends enabling Live on the channel at least 24 hours in advance and verifying the account. Treat this as readiness guidance, not a complete list of current eligibility requirements. Test the full setup privately in YouTube Studio before relying on the scheduled event.

- Schedule ahead and check the event details in both the OneStream workflow and YouTube Studio.
- Use content you have the right to stream. A live broadcast does not remove copyright obligations; make sure the video, music, and other included material are cleared for your use.
- If you want viewers to find the recording afterward, Google/YouTube’s guide suggests publishing the archive for on-demand viewing and creating a playlist for live archives. These are audience and post-stream choices, not prerequisites for creating the OneStream playlist.
Scheduled playlist or 24/7 stream?
Choose based on whether you are programming one event or keeping a channel continuously live. OneStream documents these as separate workflows.

For the separate 24-hour Stream workflow, OneStream documents content from a device, OSL Storage, or cloud storage and asks you to set a duration. Do not use that workflow when you only need to schedule a playlist of several files.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
- YouTube is missing from destinations: Open Social Platforms and connect the intended YouTube account and channel first.
- You cannot create a playlist: Check plan eligibility. OneStream documents playlist streaming on Professional and Enterprise, while its Free-plan guidance says playlists are unavailable. Confirm current access in your account if the interface or plan terms differ.
- A file is not available to select: Check whether it is on the device, in OSL Storage, or in a supported connected cloud source, then return to Add Videos.
- The event does not appear ready on YouTube: Check channel verification and Live readiness, allow time for activation, and privately test the complete setup in YouTube Studio. Google’s guide recommends enabling Live at least 24 hours ahead.
- You expect a particular transition or exact gapless playback: The documented workflow confirms sequential playback, but not a transition editor or a universal gapless guarantee. Preview or test the event rather than assuming a specific transition behavior.
