You can set up a 24/7 YouTube broadcast in OneStream Live, but the documented process is a new setup—not a one-click transfer from Gyre. Prepare your original video files and broadcast details, choose OneStream’s YouTube-only 24/7 feature or a documented YouTube-event route, then verify the new broadcast before retiring the old workflow. OneStream’s 24/7 feature requires Enterprise and allows a scheduled run of up to 30 days, so plan for the next run rather than assuming it will renew indefinitely.
What moves from Gyre—and what you should prepare yourself
Gyre describes its service as sending prerecorded video to YouTube and other RTMP destinations: the destination issues an RTMP key, and Gyre forwards the stream from its server. Its 2026 guide to streaming prerecorded video says Gyre supports YouTube. The OneStream documentation describes its own setup flows, but does not document a direct Gyre-to-OneStream transfer.
Before changing services, record the details you may need to recreate or review. Do not assume these will be imported automatically.
- YouTube channel and the current event or watch URL.
- Title, description, thumbnail, privacy and audience settings, and scheduled start time.
- The original video files, their intended order, and any details about how the current playlist repeats.
- Any event information or historical stream details you need to retain for your own records.
The reviewed documentation does not establish that Gyre exports or transfers media, playlists, event URLs, historical streams, or analytics. Make sure the source files you need are available to add through OneStream’s supported media options; its prerecorded-stream documentation lists a device, OneStream storage, and cloud storage as sources: OneStream Live prerecorded streaming documentation.

Choose a OneStream setup route
OneStream documents three relevant workflows. They are alternatives for setting up a broadcast, not steps in a single migration wizard. Pick the one that matches whether you need OneStream’s dedicated continuous-stream feature or want to use a YouTube event.
| Route | Use it when | What the documentation establishes |
|---|---|---|
| OneStream 24/7 feature | You want OneStream’s dedicated continuous-stream workflow. | YouTube only; Enterprise plan required; maximum scheduled duration is 30 days. See the 24/7 setup guide, last updated September 3, 2026. |
| Existing YouTube event | You want to select a YouTube event through OneStream’s existing-event workflow. | The guide documents connecting a YouTube channel, selecting Existing Event, choosing an event, adding video, reviewing its details, and scheduling. It does not promise that a Gyre event or its URL will remain reusable. See the existing-event guide, last updated September 15, 2026. |
| Custom RTMP to a YouTube event | You want to enter the event’s RTMP URL and stream key as a custom destination in OneStream. | The guide documents copying those credentials from YouTube and connecting a Custom RTMP destination in OneStream. It is a separate workflow from OneStream’s native 24/7 feature. See the custom-RTMP guide, dated September 4, 2026. |
Set up OneStream’s native 24/7 feature
Use this route when you want OneStream’s dedicated 24/7 workflow. OneStream’s help article says the feature is exclusive to YouTube, requires Enterprise, and has a maximum duration of 30 days per scheduled run.

- Confirm eligibility. Check that your OneStream account has the Enterprise plan and that the YouTube channel you intend to use is available for the setup.
- Create a 24-hour stream. In OneStream’s web workflow, start the 24/7 stream creation process and choose the 24-hour stream option.
- Add your media. Add video files from your device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage as offered in the interface. Check the file selection and order against the broadcast you intend to recreate.
- Select the YouTube channel and enter stream details. Review the destination and the broadcast information shown in the setup flow.
- Choose when it starts and set the duration. Select immediate start or a later schedule, then enter the duration in days. Do not schedule beyond the documented 30-day maximum.
- Review and schedule. Check the destination, details, selected media, and start time before scheduling. The help article documents scheduling the broadcast; it does not state that a run automatically renews after its duration ends.
For the exact current interface sequence, use OneStream’s 24/7 live-stream setup article. Interface labels and account availability can change.
Use an existing YouTube event instead
If you need to schedule through a YouTube event, OneStream documents an existing-event route. That route is not evidence that your old Gyre event will continue unchanged; treat the event and its URL as items to verify.

- Connect the YouTube channel in OneStream.
- Select the streaming method and choose Existing Event.
- Select the event you intend to use, then add the video.
- Review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, and schedule details presented in the workflow.
- Schedule the broadcast and check the event in YouTube’s channel control room before relying on it.
These steps follow the OneStream existing-event guide. It documents selecting an event and reviewing its details, but does not promise automatic reuse of a Gyre event or preservation of a previous watch URL.
Use custom RTMP with a YouTube event
OneStream’s custom-RTMP guide describes a route in which you create or open a YouTube event, copy its RTMP URL and stream key, and enter them in a Custom RTMP destination in OneStream. This is distinct from creating a stream with OneStream’s native 24/7 feature.

The OneStream custom-RTMP guide gives example advanced settings of video bitrate 3500, keyframes 2, audio 128, and 30/60 FPS. These are example values in that guide, not universal requirements or a guarantee that they suit every source video, channel, or event. Follow the settings supported by your source and the current interface rather than treating the examples as mandatory.

The available setup guides describe configuring and scheduling OneStream broadcasts; they do not establish a seamless service-to-service handoff or zero-downtime switchover. Avoid assuming that two services can safely stream to the same event at once. Instead, plan the change around the YouTube event and schedule you intend to use, and check the result in YouTube before ending the old workflow.

For prerecorded programming, make sure you have the rights needed to use every video and audio track, and review YouTube’s applicable rules for the content and channel. The OneStream setup documentation does not establish that moving platforms changes a video’s rights status or guarantees YouTube acceptance.
Plan around the 30-day limit
OneStream’s documented maximum for a native 24/7 scheduled run is 30 days. Set a reminder well before the end of the planned run to inspect the channel and arrange the next broadcast if you want the stream to continue. The cited help article does not say that the stream renews automatically, so do not rely on automatic renewal without confirming it in your account or with OneStream.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you are also considering a different way to keep prerecorded video live on YouTube, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists on a YouTube channel. The basic workflow is: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded video; it does not go live from a camera.
- Nothing has to stay on at home: the stream runs from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to remain on.
- Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers.
- It attempts automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card required; it is one free day per account.
Monthly: $9.99 per month. The same product is included on each plan; only the billing length changes. UPI and cards are accepted in India, and card checkout is available worldwide.
