If your OneStream Live stream stops after the first video, first confirm you mean an outgoing pre-recorded playlist created in OneStream—not a YouTube playlist a viewer is watching. OneStream’s playlist feature is meant to play multiple videos back-to-back in one live broadcast, but its public troubleshooting guidance does not identify one universal cause or fix for stopping after exactly the first item. Work through the checks below in order.
Confirm which playlist is stopping
This guide covers a pre-recorded stream playlist sent from OneStream Live to YouTube. OneStream describes that feature as queuing multiple videos back-to-back in a single live broadcast. If you mean a regular YouTube watch playlist, these OneStream setup checks do not diagnose that playback issue.
Do not confuse ordinary playlist sequencing with OneStream’s separate 24/7 streaming mode. The playlist feature schedules videos in sequence; 24/7 mode is a distinct YouTube-only feature available on Enterprise, with its own setup and a maximum duration of 30 days. OneStream’s 24/7 streaming instructions describe that mode.
Check whether your plan supports playlists
OneStream’s documentation says pre-recorded playlists are available on Professional and Enterprise plans. Its Free plan does not support creating or streaming playlists. If the playlist option is missing, check plan access before treating the problem as a video or YouTube failure. OneStream’s current Free-plan documentation also lists limits for pre-recorded streams, uploads, destinations and retention; confirm the current details in the Getting Started and Free Plan Limitations guidance, since plan terms can change.

Check every video in the sequence
A playlist can only advance through files that OneStream has received and can play. Before scheduling another broadcast, verify that every intended video appears in the selected sequence and that uploads and processing have completed. OneStream’s general troubleshooting overview lists incomplete uploads, unsupported video or audio formats, and corrupted or damaged media among possible causes of pre-recorded streams ending early. It does not establish particular compatible codecs or formats, so avoid changing formats based on guesswork; check OneStream’s current file requirements or ask support if a file’s compatibility is unclear.
- Confirm the second and later videos are actually selected, not just stored in your account.
- Check that each upload completed without an interruption and that processing finished before broadcast.
- If the broadcast consistently stops at the same item, note that item and its upload status; it may help support narrow down whether the issue follows a particular file.
For the documented general cause categories, see OneStream’s Troubleshooting overview. They are possible causes of incomplete pre-recorded streams, not a confirmed diagnosis of this exact symptom.

Verify the schedule and YouTube destination
OneStream’s web workflow is to open Pre-recorded Stream, click Add Videos, choose the files, continue, select social destinations, enter stream details, and click Schedule Broadcast. Review the saved broadcast and confirm its video order, schedule and destination.
YouTube must be connected under OneStream’s Social Platforms before it can be selected as a destination. Confirm that the intended YouTube channel is connected and selected for this broadcast—not another channel or a destination that has since disconnected. OneStream’s setup instructions are in How to Live Stream on YouTube Using OneStream Live.

OneStream lists incorrect scheduling, invalid or disconnected destinations, and destination-platform errors among general reasons a pre-recorded stream may fail or stop early. A schedule or destination check is therefore worthwhile, but the public guidance does not say that any one of these necessarily causes a stop after the first playlist item.
Record what happens when the stream stops
Before editing or rescheduling, note the broadcast’s status and what viewers see. OneStream’s troubleshooting overview includes symptoms such as a stream pending or processing, immediate failure, a black screen or playback error, and a stream ending before the video finishes. Record which playlist item was playing, whether the YouTube event still appears live, and any error message or status shown in OneStream.
