Use a saved playlist for each channel, switch to that channel before selecting or editing its rotation, then open the playlist and turn on Loop. YouTube lets you switch among channels attached to a Google Account, but only one channel can be active at a time. Check the channel name and profile icon before you make changes or start playback.
Set up a separate saved playlist for each channel
- Switch to the channel. On YouTube desktop, click your profile picture in the upper-right corner, choose Switch account, and select the channel whose rotation you want to set up. Confirm the displayed channel name and icon. YouTube says one Google Account can manage up to 100 channels, while only one channel can be used at a time. - Create or select that channel’s playlist. While the intended channel is active, use YouTube’s playlist creation flow to name the rotation, choose its visibility, and add videos. - Choose visibility deliberately. A private playlist can only be viewed by its owner. Visibility controls who can view a playlist; still verify the active channel and selected playlist before editing. YouTube Help: Share playlists.
- Repeat for every channel. Switch accounts, confirm the next channel, then create or select its rotation playlist. Give playlists recognizable names so you can identify the right one after switching.
Start and loop the intended rotation
- Switch to the channel whose rotation you want to play and confirm its name and icon.
- Open a video from that channel’s saved playlist and expand the playlist panel.
- Click the playlist’s Loop control. This repeats the selected playlist. For YouTube’s desktop instructions, see Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
Loop is not Auto-play
Loop repeats the chosen playlist. Auto-play starts a related video after the current one ends; it does not mean “repeat this playlist.” Turn on Loop for the rotation you want to repeat. YouTube Help: Auto-play videos.
Use a playlist rather than a temporary queue
A saved playlist is the repeatable rotation to return to after switching channels. A desktop queue is a temporary session arrangement: it is not saved when the browser closes. YouTube recommends saving a queue to Watch Later or another playlist if you want to continue later. YouTube Help: Queue videos on YouTube.
What to expect when managing several channels
- One active channel: The documented workflow is to switch channels between rotations, not to use several channels at once. Simultaneous playback or separate account sessions are not established by the cited YouTube guidance.
- Third-party apps: Apps and tools that do not support channel switching use the account’s default channel. Check that default if a third-party tool selects the wrong channel. YouTube Help: Set default channel for account.
- Playlist creation limits: YouTube confirms a daily limit for public playlist creation across YouTube, YouTube Music, and the YouTube API, but the cited help page does not state a numeric quota. Advanced features can increase the limit. Manage playlists in YouTube Studio.
- India availability: YouTube’s cited desktop help pages describe these controls but do not establish India-specific behavior or availability for every account. If a control is missing, check YouTube’s current help for your account and interface.
If the wrong videos play or changes land on the wrong channel
- The wrong rotation is playing: Pause playback, check the active channel in the profile menu, switch to the intended channel, then open its saved playlist.
- The playlist starts related videos instead of repeating: Enable the playlist’s Loop control; Auto-play has a different purpose.
- Your queue is gone after closing the browser: Queues do not persist across browser closure. Use a saved playlist for rotations you want to select again.
- A third-party app opens another channel: If it cannot switch channels, it uses the account’s default channel. Review the default-channel setting.
- You cannot create another public playlist: YouTube documents a daily creation limit but does not give a numeric quota on the cited page. Try again later or check whether advanced features affect your account’s limit.
