For a Tamil devotional channel, a 24/7 “playlist schedule” can mean either a continuous live broadcast that loops devotional recordings or a calendar of separate scheduled live events. They are different: a continuous broadcast requires an encoder to send a media feed to YouTube, while a scheduled event creates an upcoming live page viewers can find and set reminders for. Choose the format first, then follow the matching workflow below.
Choose between a continuous loop and scheduled events
Continuous live program
Use this when you want one ongoing YouTube live broadcast to play a rotation of rights-cleared devotional recordings. A viewing playlist on YouTube is not itself a live broadcast: an encoder must send the video feed to YouTube using the stream URL and stream key.
Recurring scheduled services
Use separate scheduled events for services, bhajans, kirtan, Gurbani, or other devotional sessions that begin at particular times. YouTube creates an upcoming event page that you can promote; viewers may see the event in subscriber feeds and select “Notify me.” This is easier to communicate as a timetable and can be easier to archive than describing separate sessions as a 24/7 playlist.
Before you go live: check eligibility and rights
Confirm the channel can livestream
- The channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube says streamers must be at least 16 years old.
- First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the planned launch.
Check YouTube’s current live-streaming eligibility requirements before relying on a launch date.

Clear every part of the program
Confirm that you have permission to broadcast the devotional songs, recordings, visuals, and arrangements in the rotation. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder; continued use can lead to interruption or termination. A license by itself may not prevent this: YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and its copyright and Content ID guidance, and confirm allowlisting with the relevant rights owner where needed.
How to run a continuous 24/7 devotional stream
- Prepare the rotation. Assemble a loop or media playlist from recordings and visuals you are authorized to broadcast. Decide how the order should work for listeners—for example, whether a long rotation repeats in the same sequence or whether you will update it for devotional occasions. Keep an authorized local copy if you need to preserve the full program.
- Open the live control room. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create or select a stream, then obtain its stream URL and stream key. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the broadcast. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the connection process.
- Configure an encoder. Use software or hardware encoding to send the prepared media feed to YouTube. YouTube’s instructions establish the encoder workflow but do not prescribe a computer specification. Choose a setup that can reliably play your files, maintain its connection, and be monitored; test the complete rotation before announcing a permanent broadcast.
- Start and monitor the feed. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed and that the video and audio are correct. Plan for interruptions in power, internet connectivity, or the encoder itself, and decide who will notice and respond. YouTube’s encoder documentation does not guarantee 24/7 uptime for any particular configuration.
- Plan the archive separately. Streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete replay matters, make and retain a local recording rather than relying on the live archive. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
Choosing an encoder approach
YouTube’s verified-encoder directory includes products for different workflows; it identifies CamStreamer as supporting both continuous 24/7 and scheduled streams. YouTube says listed verified encoders are not made by YouTube. Verification is not a guarantee of uninterrupted service, so compare options by who maintains the system, whether equipment must remain on-site, how easily you can change the rotation, what monitoring and recovery are available, how you will archive the program, and total operating cost. How to schedule separate devotional live events
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create a new scheduled stream or reuse settings from a previous broadcast. Review copied details—including the title, description, and visibility—rather than assuming they still fit this event.
- Share the upcoming event URL and state a recurring timetable your channel can sustain. YouTube notes that scheduling a stream lets you promote it; viewers may select “Notify me.”
- At broadcast time, connect the encoder, check the preview, and start the stream.

Monetization is conditional
Eligible monetized live streams may use ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships. Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve, so continuous runtime is not a dependable basis for promising ad revenue. Review YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance and check the channel’s eligibility and settings.
