To show TipeeeStream donation alerts on a live broadcast, configure a widget in TipeeeStream’s Streaming section, copy its widget URL, and add that URL as a browser source in OBS or Streamlabs. Position the source in your scene, preview its animation, and refresh the source after you edit the widget. A preview confirms the alert animation appears in the scene; it does not verify payment processing or payouts.
Before you add the widget
Sign in to TipeeeStream and open Streaming from the page menu. Choose a widget and set its appearance and behavior. TipeeeStream provides a widget URL after configuration; you will paste that URL into your broadcast software. Treat it as a configuration link for the source rather than a general link to publish.
TipeeeStream lists options including payment methods and minimum or suggested donation settings, custom messages, file attachments, alert sounds and animations, text-to-speech, goals, counters, dashboards, and custom layouts. What is available can depend on your account and location, so check the settings shown in your account and review the applicable payment terms before sharing a donation page.
Add the TipeeeStream widget to OBS
- In TipeeeStream, open Streaming, configure the widget, and use its Copy button to copy the widget URL.
- In OBS, go to Sources, select +, choose Browser, and create and name the source.
- Paste the widget URL into the source’s URL field and confirm.
- Select the source in the preview. Drag it into position and use its edge handles to resize it.
Add the widget to Streamlabs
- Copy the configured widget URL from TipeeeStream’s Streaming section.
- In Streamlabs, open Sources, select +, choose Browser Source, and create and name it.
- Paste the URL into the source and confirm.
- Select the source in the preview, then drag it into position and resize it with the edge handles.
Preview the alert and refresh it after edits
To preview an alert, open TipeeeStream’s alert configuration and select Restart animation. The alert may initially appear as a colored rectangle in the broadcasting software preview. This is an animation preview, not proof that a real donation, payment, payout, or end-to-end alert delivery has been tested.

After changing a widget in TipeeeStream, refresh its source so the broadcast software loads the latest version:
- OBS: select the browser source and use Refresh.
- Streamlabs: open the source gear and choose Refresh cache of current page.
Payment settings, YouTube Super Chat, and charity
TipeeeStream’s feature page describes donation presentation and configuration controls, but does not establish that every payment method or setting is enabled for every account or country. Confirm the options and terms visible to you before directing viewers to make a payment.

TipeeeStream’s news page describes setting YouTube as the Master-Account and configuring the Superchat tab in Alert Box. That page also contains historical announcements and technical notes, so treat this as a route to check in your dashboard, not a guarantee that the integration is currently available to every account.
If your stream supports a charity, distinguish a tip paid to you from a donation processed through Twitch’s Charity tool. Twitch’s guidance says a viewer payment to a streamer who later gives the money to charity is not treated as a charitable donation for tax purposes under that guidance. Do not present ordinary tips as tax-deductible charitable gifts.

Advanced integrations
The basic browser-source setup does not require an API. For developers, TipeeeStream’s API documentation describes reading donation, subscriber, follower, and hosting data; writing data and triggering events; and receiving real-time events through sockets. It describes an account API key for API access and OAuth 2 for posting on behalf of users. Consult the documentation and your account’s current settings before building against these capabilities.
Troubleshooting the widget
- The widget does not appear: check that you pasted the configured widget URL into a Browser or Browser Source, then refresh the source.
- The alert is in the wrong place or too large: select it in the scene preview and drag it or adjust its size with the edge handles.
- Edits are not visible: refresh the OBS source, or in Streamlabs use Refresh cache of current page from the source gear.
- You see a colored rectangle during the preview: TipeeeStream notes that the donation alert may initially appear that way in the software preview; use Restart animation from alert configuration to trigger the preview.
- A payment method or feature is missing: availability is not established for every account or geography. Check the controls and payment terms available in your account.
- You are unsure whether a real payment will trigger correctly: the animation preview alone does not establish that payment processing, payouts, or live alert delivery work end to end.
