Yes. You can set a YouTube gaming livestream replay to Unlisted and add it to a playlist. The replay’s visibility and the playlist’s visibility are separate settings, so you can choose whether the playlist is public, unlisted, or private. One important caveat: adding an unlisted replay to a public playlist may make it appear in YouTube search.
How to add an unlisted gaming replay to a playlist
- In YouTube Studio, open Content, then select the Live tab to find the livestream replay. Edit its Visibility, choose Unlisted, and save. If there is no replay in the list, there may not be a video available to manage; YouTube says a channel may post a replay after a live stream ends, but does not promise that every stream is automatically archived. - Add the replay to the playlist you want to use.
- In Studio, go to Content > Playlists, select the playlist, open Details, and set its Visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private. YouTube’s playlist privacy guidance describes these choices.
- Share the playlist link if you want people to reach it directly. Anyone with an unlisted video or playlist link can watch and share it; YouTube says viewers do not need a Google Account to watch an unlisted video.
Choose visibility based on who should find the replay

What “unlisted” does—and does not—mean
Unlisted is link-accessible, not confidential. Anyone who receives the link can pass it along. If you need access restrictions, use Private and select the intended viewers. Also, a private replay is not suitable for ordinary playlist viewers: YouTube says private videos are visible only to the owner and selected people, and cannot be added to a public playlist.
YouTube’s video privacy guidance says unlisted videos normally do not appear in search results “unless someone adds your unlisted video to a public playlist.” That exception means a public playlist can expose an unlisted replay to discovery; do not choose that combination if avoiding search visibility matters. Playlist privacy options may also be unavailable on supervised accounts.
Copyright still applies to an unlisted replay
Changing visibility does not remove copyright obligations or prevent platform review. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and Content ID claims may be made after a stream ends if you archive it. Unlisted or public status is not immunity from copyright, ad-suitability, or abuse-prevention review. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
