To stream a mobile game through PC software, get the phone’s gameplay onto the computer by mirroring it over a cable or local network, or by sending compatible video output through a capture card. You can also broadcast directly from the phone, or run the game in an Android emulator on the PC. Choose based on whether the game must run on your actual phone and whether you need PC scenes, overlays, and audio controls.
Choose the route that fits your game and setup

These options are not interchangeable: an emulator shows a game running on the PC, not gameplay from your physical phone. A capture card is optional, not a requirement for every mobile-game stream. The documentation cited here does not establish a controlled comparison of latency or picture quality across methods.
Option 1: Broadcast directly from the phone
Twitch documents game broadcasting through its Android and iOS app. This avoids routing the image through a PC, but also means the mobile app—not desktop streaming software—handles the broadcast.
- Install and open the Twitch app, then sign in.
- Choose the app’s game-broadcast option and follow its prompts to select the game and start a stream. On a first broadcast, grant microphone permission if you want your voice included.
- Use Wi-Fi where possible. Twitch recommends it for performance and to reduce potential mobile-data charges.
- Keep the phone awake while live: Twitch says a direct mobile stream ends if the device locks.
- Before going live, silence notifications or enable an appropriate Focus or Do Not Disturb setting. Anything visible on the phone screen may be broadcast.
Twitch’s documented mobile game mode does not support overlays, and it cannot broadcast the game screen and the front- or back-facing camera at the same time. Option 2: Mirror or send the phone feed to PC
In this approach the game still runs on the physical phone, while a mirrored image or network feed reaches desktop streaming software. Twitch describes using a PC, a mobile cable, and a way to mirror the phone screen on the computer. Streamlabs documents a local-network source for sending Android gameplay to desktop software.
Android over a local network with Streamlabs
- Check the Streamlabs Mobile LAN Streaming Source Guide for its current prerequisites and connection steps.
- Put the phone and computer on the same local network if required by the setup, and add the documented mobile LAN source in Streamlabs Desktop.
- Start the game and send its phone display to the desktop source using the guide’s connection flow.
- In Streamlabs Desktop, confirm the source is visible in the intended scene. Add your other scene elements there, then check that the game and microphone audio are captured before going live.
Exact compatibility depends on the phone, software, operating system, and network. The cited guide does not establish that every Android device or game works, nor that every setup routes internal game audio identically.

Other mirroring workflows
Twitch’s guidance describes the broader PC method: connect the mobile device and use a compatible way to mirror its screen on the computer, then capture that feed in your chosen desktop software. The exact app, cable, and steps vary by device. OBS Studio itself is not offered as a mobile app in the OBS Project’s documentation; its page lists third-party mobile streaming apps whose availability and features differ by platform. Option 3: Capture the phone through a capture card
A capture card can bring a phone’s compatible external video output into the computer. It is not a universal plug-and-play answer: confirm that your exact phone can output video, that the required port adapter supports that output, and that the capture card accepts the resulting signal before buying anything.

- Check the phone manufacturer’s specifications for wired video output and identify its port.
- Confirm which adapter or cable carries video from that phone model; a charging or data cable alone does not necessarily provide video output.
- Check that the capture card accepts the adapter’s output and connects to your computer and streaming software.
- Connect the phone through the compatible adapter and capture card, then select the card as a video source in your desktop software.
- Test whether game audio reaches the computer through the chosen connection. Set up a separate audio path if needed, and verify the final mix before going live.
Elgato’s iPhone gameplay guide describes both capture-card and USB approaches, and calls QuickTime over USB the more practical option for gameplay. The right choice depends on the specific phone and workflow; the guide does not establish compatibility for every phone, adapter, or card. Option 4: Run the game in an Android emulator
An emulator lets the game run on the computer, where desktop streaming software can capture it directly. Streamlabs documents a BlueStacks and Streamlabs Desktop workflow. This avoids capturing a phone, but only works for games that run appropriately in the emulator and does not show gameplay taking place on your handset.

- Install BlueStacks and Streamlabs Desktop, following the current instructions in Streamlabs: How to Stream Mobile Games on PC.
- Install and launch the game inside BlueStacks.
- In Streamlabs Desktop, add the emulator window or game as a source using the guide’s current workflow.
- Arrange the scene and confirm game audio, microphone audio, and the captured image before starting the stream.
Game availability and behavior can differ between a phone and an emulator. If the stream must show your physical phone, use mirroring or compatible external capture instead.
Check the feed, audio, and privacy before going live
- Confirm the image: Make sure the correct phone, emulator, or capture-card source is visible in the scene, at the expected size and orientation.
- Listen to the audio path: Check game sound and microphone separately, then listen to the combined output. Do not assume internal audio reaches the PC through every mirroring app, cable, or adapter.
- Protect private information: Silence notifications, avoid opening private apps, and remember that a direct phone broadcast can show anything that appears on screen.
- Keep the device ready: A direct Twitch mobile stream ends if the phone locks; keep it awake for the broadcast.
- Test the exact combination: Verify the particular phone, operating-system version, game, connection method, adapter, and streaming software. The cited documentation does not provide complete, current compatibility matrices.
