Short answer: YouTube does not publish a fixed wait time for enabling computer live streaming after a channel is verified. Phone verification makes live streaming available as an intermediate feature, but you should check the channel’s status in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s estimate of up to 24 hours applies to starting a first mobile live stream—not to computer streaming in general.
What to expect after phone verification
YouTube lists live streaming among the intermediate features unlocked by phone verification. Verification and feature access are distinct from advanced-feature access: completing phone verification does not mean every feature tier is enabled.
For computer streaming, YouTube’s guidance does not give a standard activation delay. Once your channel is verified and eligible, check whether live streaming is enabled in its Feature eligibility settings rather than relying on a particular number of hours.

Check your channel’s live-stream eligibility
- Open YouTube Studio.
- Go to Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility.
- Review the status for intermediate features and confirm that live streaming is enabled. If it is not available, follow the verification or eligibility steps shown there.
YouTube identifies computer streaming as an intermediate feature available to phone-verified channels. For India-based creators, its guidance says the “phone verified” label is visible to users in India on computer, mobile, and the YouTube app. The India guidance does not specify a separate activation delay.
If you still cannot go live
Verification is incomplete
YouTube sends a verification code by text or voice call. If it does not arrive after a few minutes, try a voice call or another supported number or operator. YouTube limits a phone number to verification of no more than two channels per year.

Live streaming is not enabled in Feature eligibility
Return to YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility and check the intermediate-feature status. Phone verification is the relevant step for computer live streaming; advanced-feature verification is a separate process.
The channel has a recent live-stream restriction
YouTube requires no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. If your channel has a restriction in that period, verification alone does not remove this eligibility requirement.

You are trying to stream from a phone
Mobile streaming has additional eligibility rules, including at least 50 subscribers and compatible-device requirements. The up-to-24-hour estimate refers to starting a first mobile stream after enabling the feature. It is not a promise that every channel will be ready at that point.
You are waiting on advanced features
ID or video verification and channel history relate to advanced-feature access, not the ordinary computer live-stream activation wait. YouTube says ID or video review usually takes 24 hours; that is a separate review process, not a stated wait time for enabling computer live streaming.
