Vultr Ubuntu server पर OBS से YouTube 24/7 स्ट्रीम चलाने के लिए आपको GUI desktop वाला server, remote desktop access, OBS में configured YouTube stream key और लगातार निगरानी की जरूरत है। यह केवल SSH में एक command चलाकर पूरा होने वाला setup नहीं है। नीचे Vultr के सामान्य Ubuntu मार्ग के चरण, YouTube के वर्तमान encoder मान, सुरक्षा और reliability की सीमाएं दी गई हैं।
शुरू करने से पहले: इस तरीके की जरूरतें
Vultr की How to Create a Streaming Server with OBS and Ubuntu guide, जिसे 1 अप्रैल 2025 को अपडेट किया गया था, fresh instance के लिए ये prerequisites देती है:
- 2 vCPU
- 4 GB RAM
- 80 GB storage
- 3 TB bandwidth
इन्हें Vultr guide की प्रकाशित prerequisite समझें, हर scene या हर 24/7 stream के लिए प्रमाणित न्यूनतम नहीं। अधिक resolution, FPS, filters और sources CPU पर अतिरिक्त भार डाल सकते हैं। Media files रखने के लिए पर्याप्त disk space भी चाहिए।
सामान्य Ubuntu+OBS मार्ग में desktop environment और VNC Viewer या NoMachine जैसे remote desktop client की जरूरत होती है। यह headless SSH-only setup नहीं है। Vultr के Ubuntu निर्देशों में package installation के लिए SSH और OBS चलाने तथा configure करने के लिए desktop session शामिल है।

Ubuntu server पर OBS install और desktop access configure करें
- Vultr पर fresh Ubuntu instance बनाएं। ऐसा instance चुनें जो ऊपर दी गई guide की resources से मेल खाता हो या आपके workload के हिसाब से अधिक हो। OS version और instance options बनाते समय Vultr console में उपलब्ध विकल्पों की पुष्टि करें।
- SSH से non-root sudo user के रूप में जुड़ें। Vultr guide के अनुसार package installation से पहले system packages update करें। अपने Ubuntu release के लिए लागू update command चलाएं।
- FFmpeg और OBS Studio install करें। Vultr की guide `ffmpeg` और `obs-studio` install करने का मार्ग देती है। Ubuntu package और repository की उपलब्धता release के अनुसार बदल सकती है; command guide में दिए गए क्रम में चलाएं और package errors आने पर release-specific निर्देश देखें।
- Desktop environment और remote desktop access configure करें। Vultr की guide के अनुसार graphical desktop के बाद VNC Viewer या NoMachine से server desktop खोलें। अपने remote desktop connection को सुरक्षित रखें और access credentials साझा न करें।
- Remote desktop में OBS खोलें। पुष्टि करें कि OBS शुरू होता है और desktop session में बना रहता है। इस सामान्य guide से यह साबित नहीं होता कि logout या reboot के बाद OBS अपने आप चालू होगा।
YouTube Live और OBS को जोड़ें
- Channel की live eligibility जांचें। YouTube Studio में live stream बनाने से पहले channel की eligibility देखें। YouTube के अनुसार पहली बार live enable करने में 24 घंटे तक लग सकते हैं। निर्देश: YouTube पर लाइव स्ट्रीम करना.
- YouTube Studio में stream बनाएं या चुनें। Live Control Room से stream URL और stream key प्राप्त करें। OBS encoder को इन्हीं जानकारियों से YouTube feed भेजता है।
- OBS की stream settings में YouTube service चुनें। YouTube preset उपलब्ध हो तो उसे चुनें और stream key को key वाले field में डालें। यदि आप server URL खुद दर्ज कर रहे हैं, तो Live Control Room में दिया हुआ URL इस्तेमाल करें। उपलब्ध होने पर RTMPS चुनें।
- Key को गोपनीय रखें। YouTube stream key को password और address के समान मानता है। इसे screenshot, सार्वजनिक tutorial, shell history या shared config में न दिखाएं। यदि key उजागर हो जाए, Live Control Room में उसे reset करें और OBS में नई key डालें। अधिक जानकारी: YouTube stream settings.
OBS में bitrate, resolution और keyframe सेट करें
Final encoder settings के लिए YouTube की वर्तमान तालिका को Vultr guide के उदाहरणों से प्राथमिकता दें: encoder standards बदल सकते हैं। YouTube Help की तालिका, 3 अक्टूबर 2026 को देखी गई, H.264 के लिए ये recommended bitrate ranges देती है:

ये YouTube की platform recommendations हैं, आपके Vultr instance पर encoding सफल होने की गारंटी नहीं। YouTube CBR की सलाह देता है और keyframe frequency 2 seconds recommended रखता है, 4 seconds से अधिक नहीं। H.264 समेत RTMP/RTMPS के लिए कई encoder विकल्प बताए गए हैं। अपनी resolution और frame rate के अनुरूप OBS चुनें; server CPU और उपलब्ध upload bandwidth को ध्यान में रखकर पहले परीक्षण करें। पूरी encoder तालिका: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.

Vultr guide 2 या अधिक vCPU वाले instance पर 720p का सुझाव देती है और CPU बहुत ऊपर जाने पर resolution घटाने या instance upgrade करने को कहती है। यह उसी guide की operational सलाह है, universal benchmark नहीं। OBS के stats और Vultr monitoring में CPU usage, dropped frames तथा bandwidth देखें।
Prerecorded video को लगातार loop करें
- Media file server पर रखें। अपनी video file को server तक SFTP, SCP, FTP या rsync से पहुंचाएं। Vultr Broadcaster guide में ये upload विकल्प बताए गए हैं।
- OBS में Media Source जोड़ें। अपने OBS version में source को सही file से point करें और Loop विकल्प चालू करें। सामान्य Ubuntu desktop में UI और control labels version के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।
- Preview में video और audio जांचें। Stream शुरू करने से पहले देखें कि picture चल रही है, audio सुनाई दे रही है और loop के अंत पर playback इच्छित तरीके से दोबारा शुरू होता है।
- पहले unlisted test करें। ऐसे test में वास्तविक stream जैसी audio और movement रखें। YouTube Live Control Room preview, stream health और messages देखें। YouTube कहता है, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.”

24/7 चलने का अर्थ और reliability की सीमाएं
Vultr का सामान्य Ubuntu+OBS मार्ग यह स्थापित नहीं करता कि OBS reboot के बाद स्वतः शुरू होगा, desktop logout के बाद चलता रहेगा, या crash होने पर खुद recover करेगा। किसी systemd unit या auto-recovery व्यवस्था को इस guide के आधार पर सुरक्षित मानना उचित नहीं: उस Ubuntu release, OBS package, display server और session manager पर अलग सत्यापन चाहिए। अगर unattended reboot या crash recovery अनिवार्य है, तो deployment में इसे बनाकर जांचें और परीक्षण के बिना इसे काम करता हुआ न मानें।
Vultr guide stream के दौरान CPU usage और account bandwidth monitor करने को कहती है। उसी guide में 90% से ऊपर OBS CPU usage पर dropped frames या buffering की आशंका बताई गई है। Vultr की अलग Broadcaster guide healthy stream के लिए 50% से कम CPU usage का operational marker देती है। ये अलग लेखों की सलाह हैं, एक-दूसरे के बराबर या universal thresholds नहीं। अपने वास्तविक scene और workload में OBS stats तथा Vultr metrics देखकर निर्णय लें।

YouTube के मुताबिक कुल stream bitrate उपलब्ध upload bandwidth से कम होनी चाहिए और करीब 20% headroom रखें। Stable network और test stream भी जरूरी हैं। YouTube की सलाह है: “A disruption on your connectivity could mean a broken stream.” विवरण: encoder settings और bitrate तथा Streaming tips.
- OBS में dropped frames, encoding overload या stream health warnings दिखें तो resolution या frame rate घटाकर फिर test करें।
- CPU लगातार बहुत ऊंचा हो तो भारी filters और अनावश्यक sources हटाएं, या अधिक processing power वाले instance पर विचार करें।
- Bandwidth usage और YouTube ingest health देखें; केवल instance चालू होना दर्शकों तक स्थिर stream पहुंचने का प्रमाण नहीं है।
- अगर OBS बंद हो जाए या remote desktop session टूटे, तो स्थिति जांचें और stream को फिर शुरू करने की जरूरत पड़ सकती है। सामान्य guide automatic restart की पुष्टि नहीं करती।
सामान्य Ubuntu OBS और Vultr Broadcaster App में अंतर
Vultr Broadcaster Marketplace App एक अलग cloud-hosted OBS विकल्प है, सामान्य Ubuntu installation का दूसरा नाम नहीं। Vultr का Broadcaster लेख server पर media upload, OBS में Media Source को loop करने, browser से OBS access और GPU integration का उदाहरण देता है। App A16 GPU instance पर deploy होता है। खरीद से पहले Vultr console में मौजूदा availability और लागत जांचें; उस लेख से आज की कीमत या लंबे समय तक uptime की गारंटी स्थापित नहीं होती।
