If you want to listen to an ASMR roleplay playlist continuously, open the playlist in YouTube and turn on Loop. That repeats playback for you; it does not create a public live broadcast. To show viewers a continuous live stream of prerecorded videos, create a YouTube Live stream in YouTube Studio and send it from an encoder.
Choose between looping for yourself and broadcasting live
| What you want | Use | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Keep listening to an existing playlist | YouTube playlist Loop | Repeats playback on your device. It does not create a live page or rebroadcast your channel. YouTube playlist help |
| Let viewers watch a continuous broadcast | YouTube Live with an encoder | Sends video to a public live stream through YouTube Studio. You need an encoder, such as streaming software, a hardware encoder, or an optional cloud service. YouTube encoder help |
Loop the playlist for personal listening
You do not need an encoder, special equipment, or a live-stream setup to keep a playlist playing for yourself.
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click the playlist’s Loop control.
On a phone or tablet
- Start playing the playlist.
- Open the playlist controls and tap Loop.
- Check whether the control is set to repeat the whole playlist. Tapping it again may switch to repeating only the current video.
On a TV or game console
- Select and start the playlist.
- Open the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the controls indicate that the playlist is repeating.
Labels and control placement can vary by device and app version. If playback stops, check that the playlist repeat setting is still enabled and that the YouTube app or device has not paused playback.
Set up a public continuous live broadcast
YouTube’s documented workflow uses a streaming encoder connected to a stream created in YouTube Studio. The encoder sends your prerecorded ASMR videos to the live stream; it is not the same as enabling Loop in the player. The Studio labels below are YouTube’s documented route and may shift over time.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
1. Confirm the channel can go live
Verify the channel and check its live-stream eligibility before planning a broadcast. YouTube says first-time live streaming can take up to 24 hours to become available, and its current tips say a channel must not have had live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Check YouTube’s live-streaming tips and the channel’s Studio status in advance.
2. Create a stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- Create a stream in the Live Control Room.
- In your encoder, select YouTube if it is offered. Otherwise, copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key from the Live Control Room into the encoder.
- Keep the stream key private. It authorizes an encoder to send a feed to your stream.
YouTube’s encoder instructions say: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder for the current workflow.

3. Send the videos and check the preview
Start the encoder, then check that the expected video appears in the Live Control Room preview before going live. For a playlist-style broadcast, prepare the sequence and repeat behavior in your chosen encoder or service; YouTube’s player Loop control does not make the live feed repeat.
4. End the broadcast cleanly
When finished, stop the encoder’s feed and end the stream in the Live Control Room. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Check YouTube’s encoder guidance for current details.

Protect the stream and the channel
Use content you have the right to broadcast
Make sure you have rights for every recording, soundtrack, sound effect, and visual in the live feed. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If a match is found, YouTube may replace the broadcast with a placeholder and warn the channel; continued use can lead to interruption or termination. A license may not prevent that interruption: the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Do not assume copyright permission guarantees monetization
YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams. Its July 15, 2025 clarification renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” and describes repetitive or mass-produced material as ineligible. Reused-content review is separate from copyright: permission to use someone else’s work does not, by itself, show that a channel meets monetization policy. Make your original contribution and meaningful variation clear; owning or licensing videos alone does not guarantee monetization. See YouTube channel monetization policies.

Keep playlist presentation accurate
Community Guidelines apply to playlists as well as individual videos. YouTube’s playlist policy calls out misleading titles or descriptions and collections that violate policy even if individual videos might not do so alone. Read YouTube’s playlist policy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Troubleshoot common problems
- The playlist stops after one pass: Check that Loop is enabled for the whole playlist rather than only the current video. Confirm the app or device has not paused playback.
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification and live-stream eligibility in Studio. If this is the first live stream, activation may take up to 24 hours; check for restrictions within the past 90 days.
- The Live Control Room has no preview: Confirm the encoder is running and connected to the correct stream using the current YouTube server URL and stream key. Keep the key private, and check the encoder’s connection status.
- YouTube interrupts or replaces the broadcast: Check for third-party matches in the audio or visuals. A license may not be sufficient unless the rights holder has allowlisted the channel in Content ID.
- A licensed or original playlist raises monetization concerns: Copyright clearance and monetization eligibility are separate questions. Review the channel’s originality, variation, and reused-content presentation against YouTube’s policy.
