You can keep a yoga breathing feed available around the clock by streaming pre-produced video through YouTube Live, using an encoder and Airtel broadband, and operating it as a series of monitored sessions—not as one unbroken broadcast. Measure your actual upload speed, configure the encoder to YouTube’s recommendations, test the full setup, and plan restarts before each session reaches 12 hours if you want YouTube archives.
What “24/7” means in practice
A live stream can be interrupted by an encoder problem, a power cut, a broadband outage, or a YouTube issue. Airtel’s published plans and terms do not guarantee a particular sustained upload rate or uninterrupted service for a specific address. Treat “24/7” as an operating goal: keep the channel’s feed available through monitored sessions, deliberate handoffs, and recovery plans.
This guide is for a fixed, produced yoga breathing feed—such as a loop of guided breathing visuals and audio—not a live camera session. To broadcast, use YouTube Live with an encoder that sends your video to YouTube’s server using your stream key.
Prepare the channel, content, and connection
Check YouTube Live access and content rights
- Verify the YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days; YouTube lists both as prerequisites for streaming.
- Clear the rights for every visual and audio element in the feed. YouTube requires necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights, and compliance with its Community Guidelines and applicable law. Use original or properly licensed breathing audio and music.
- Keep the stream key private. YouTube describes it as functioning like the stream’s password and address. If someone else obtains it, reset it in YouTube Studio before streaming again.
Confirm what Airtel service is available at your address
Airtel’s Xstream Fiber pages advertise plans with speeds up to 1 Gbps and unlimited data. Those are plan details, not a promise of upload speed, uptime, or performance at your home. Airtel’s published Xstream Fiber terms also state that its Fair Usage Policy applies: after 3333 GB in a billing cycle, speed may be reduced. Airtel says it may amend the policy. Do not infer upload capacity from an advertised download speed. Run repeated upload tests from the computer and connection you will use for streaming, including at the times the feed will run. Prefer wired Ethernet if your setup supports it. Airtel’s plan pages do not establish a particular upload bitrate, latency, or continuous availability for an individual line.
Set up and test the YouTube stream
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream. Open the stream’s settings and copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key. Keep the key private.
- In your encoder, choose the YouTube Live destination. Enter the server URL and stream key in the streaming settings. Use RTMPS where available.
- Set a quality your connection can sustain. YouTube recommends H.264, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval, not exceeding four seconds. Choose resolution and bitrate using YouTube’s current encoder settings table and your repeatable upload tests. For example, YouTube lists 6 Mbps as the recommended bitrate for 1080p at 30 fps; that is a reference setting, not a universal requirement. Leave practical headroom below the upload capacity you can sustain.
- Run an unlisted or private test with the real feed. Include the planned audio and movement. Inspect YouTube’s preview and watch page, confirm picture and sound, and check stream health before making the feed public.
- Record locally if the replay matters. Verify that the local recording file is growing while the stream runs. YouTube recommends a local archive backup as part of testing and operation.
- Check access from a viewer’s perspective. Open the watch page on another device or browser and confirm that the stream plays as expected.
YouTube’s setup guidance recommends choosing a quality that produces a reliable stream on your connection and running a speed test to check upload bitrate. Its live encoder settings provide the current technical recommendations; reassess them if YouTube updates the table.

Plan sessions and archives around YouTube’s 12-hour guidance
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need replays, do not rely on a single broadcast running indefinitely. Schedule sessions shorter than 12 hours, retain local recordings, and plan the handoff to the next session.
Before ending one session, prepare the next feed and check its preview and audio. Start the new session, confirm it is healthy, then end the previous one when your workflow allows. Choose the right continuity measures
Single encoder or backup encoder
A second, tested encoder can help if the primary encoder fails. YouTube recommends testing failover by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet cable and checking whether the player switches to the backup. A backup encoder does not fix an Airtel broadband outage; it addresses a different failure point. Use it if the cost and extra operating complexity are justified by the impact of an encoder failure. Power backup
If short local power interruptions are a concern, consider a UPS battery backup for router and streaming PC. Size it from the actual equipment load and the runtime you need. A UPS cannot protect against a broadband outage or a YouTube service problem.

Independent internet backup
If public availability is mission-critical, ask Airtel what support options apply to your service and consider a genuinely independent backup connection. Do not assume a second connection shares no infrastructure or will automatically take over: test the switchover. The published Airtel plan and terms pages do not establish a 24/7 uptime figure or a specific backup program.

- YouTube shows no incoming video: Recheck the server URL and stream key in the encoder, confirm that the correct stream is selected in YouTube Studio, and verify the encoder is sending. Reset the key if it may have been exposed.
- The stream health indicator is poor or the picture drops: Measure upload speed again on the streaming connection, reduce bitrate or resolution to a level with headroom, and check whether other devices are using the connection. An advertised download speed does not demonstrate adequate upstream capacity.
- Audio is missing, clipped, or out of sync: Check the encoder’s audio input and levels, then test the complete feed again in an unlisted or private session before returning to the public stream.
- The YouTube replay is missing: Check the broadcast length. Streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all; use shorter planned sessions and keep a local recording if the archive is important.
- Failover does not take over: Repeat the test before relying on it. Confirm both encoders are configured for the intended stream and follow YouTube’s failover guidance; a backup encoder will not restore a failed broadband connection.
- The connection slows after heavy use: Review Airtel’s current FUP terms and your billing-cycle usage. The published terms state that speed may be reduced after 3333 GB in a billing cycle, but Airtel may change the policy.
