For game replays you have already recorded, a managed cloud playlist encoder is usually the simplest way to keep a YouTube stream running without leaving your computer on. StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives you a free first day. Other options include Gyre and Upstream, which YouTube lists in its encoder directory; Cloud-OBS, a remotely controlled cloud OBS setup; and Google Cloud Live Stream API, a configurable, usage-billed route.
These services differ in how they handle uploads, stream-key access, playlists, recovery, storage, and costs. The descriptions below reflect their published product pages and YouTube’s directory—not hands-on tests or independently measured reliability.
Best cloud services for continuous YouTube game-replay streams
For a straightforward loop of uploaded gameplay, choose a managed cloud service rather than building a cloud encoder yourself. StreamNeo is #1: it runs an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos, supports any quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. YouTube’s encoder directory also lists Gyre for continuous prerecorded-video streams and Upstream as a 24/7 cloud studio. Cloud-OBS offers a dedicated cloud OBS machine with a playlist and remote controls. Google Cloud Live Stream API suits users who want a configurable API-based system and can estimate and manage usage-based charges.
| Service | Best fit | What the published description establishes | Cost information |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Creators who want uploaded replays looped on YouTube without maintaining a local machine | Cloud playback, playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, and support. Uploaded quality is preserved up to 4K 60fps; no re-encode or quality tiers. | One flat price per slot; the same product is included on every plan. See the plan lengths and exact prices below. |
| Gyre | Creators looking for a managed prerecorded-video stream | YouTube’s directory describes a cloud service for continuous prerecorded streams, with Full HD and 4K at 30/60 FPS and a built-in converter. The directory says listed products are not made by YouTube. | Not stated in the cited directory; check the vendor for current plans. |
| Upstream | Creators who may want studio features as well as 24/7 streaming | YouTube describes a browser cloud studio with YouTube integration for easy 24/7 live video streaming. Confirm that a current plan supports the desired stream count and replay workflow. | Not stated in the cited directory; check the vendor for current plans. |
| Cloud-OBS | Users who want a remotely accessible OBS environment and ordered playlist controls | The vendor lists a dedicated cloud OBS slot configured for 1080p/30 FPS, 180 GB of video storage, one configured destination, browser controls to pause/resume/skip, and remote desktop access. | The page displays €34.99/month for the first three months, then €49.99/month. It describes the launch offer as limited to the first three activations; verify current availability and pricing. |
| Google Cloud Live Stream API | Technical users who need configurable cloud encoding and can manage API-based operation | Usage depends on active channel time, configured resolution and codec; additional outputs and distribution endpoints add charges. Each active channel has a ten-minute minimum, with additional time rounded up to the nearest minute. | Usage-based; region and configuration affect the total. Use the provider’s pricing page to estimate your workload rather than assuming it will cost less than a managed service. |
| LiveGoLive | Creators considering uploaded-playlist streaming with either account authorization or a stream key | The vendor advertises continuous cloud encoding up to 4K60, uploaded playlists, and operation without an always-on PC. Its FAQ describes Google authorization as beta or manual stream-key setup. The page shows a waitlist, so check availability. | Not stated in the cited page. |
Published resolution, capacity, and feature descriptions are vendor or directory claims, not guarantees of uptime or independent performance measurements. Verify the current offer and test your own files and workflow before committing to a long billing period.

How to choose the right setup
Choose a managed playlist service for uploaded files
For a loop of files that already exist, prioritize a simple upload-and-playlist workflow. Check the maximum file size and total storage, supported formats, whether the service preserves or transcodes video, how it resumes after a dropped connection, and whether you can change the playlist without stopping the stream. Find out whether you supply a YouTube stream key or authorize your account, and how the service handles stream rotation and archived broadcasts.

Choose a cloud OBS slot if you need OBS controls
Cloud-OBS describes remote desktop access and browser controls for an ordered playlist. That may suit users who want an OBS environment rather than a dedicated playlist encoder. Its listed configuration is 1080p/30 FPS, so it is not a like-for-like option if your requirement is a higher frame rate or resolution.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesChoose an API when configuration matters more than simplicity
Google Cloud Live Stream API exposes configurable encoding and output options, but it is not a simple fixed-fee creator plan. Estimate active hours, input and output resolution, codec, outputs, endpoints, and region before using it for a continuous channel. A multi-output setup can cost more than a single YouTube destination.
Check availability and plan limits for directory-listed services
YouTube’s directory is a useful way to identify encoder services, not a YouTube endorsement or a substitute for checking current vendor terms. Gyre and Upstream descriptions establish functional fit, but the cited directory does not provide their current prices. LiveGoLive’s page describes a waitlist and a beta authorization option; confirm access and the exact workflow before planning around either feature.

Set up YouTube before uploading replays
YouTube supports encoder-based streams of gameplay. Its live-stream setup guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do this before the planned launch.
- Verify the channel and enable live streaming. Follow YouTube’s setup flow and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement.
- Create or select the YouTube live stream. In YouTube Studio, create the broadcast and identify the stream key or account-authorization method required by your chosen service.
- Connect the cloud service. Use the service’s documented authorization flow or enter the stream key. Treat a stream key as a password: do not publish it, share it with collaborators who do not need access, or leave it in a public screenshot.
- Upload and arrange the replay files. Confirm the playlist order, playback behavior at the end of the list, audio levels, and any title or broadcast rotation controls. Run a short private or unlisted check before making a public continuous stream.
- Confirm the viewer-facing broadcast and monitoring. Check the live preview, audio, video, and stream status in YouTube Studio. Know which service or person can restart playback or repair a failed file.
YouTube’s help page states a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. It also says streamed content must comply with Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and that YouTube may restrict live-stream access.
Rights and YouTube policy for game replays
Having a gameplay recording does not by itself establish that every part of it is cleared for continuous rebroadcast. Review the rights and permissions for the game footage, soundtrack, overlays, voice chat, and any third-party content included in the recording. A game publisher’s streaming policy and a music licence may impose separate conditions.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
- Use only material you own or have permission to broadcast, including music and other creators’ content captured in a replay.
- Check the relevant game publisher’s policy for streaming, monetization, and use of in-game music.
- Do not assume that a video is safe to rebroadcast because it was previously uploaded or because the stream is prerecorded.
- Review YouTube’s current policy requirements before going live; platform access may be restricted for policy violations.
These checks address copyright and live-stream policy, not whether a channel will qualify for monetization. Repetitive or reused programming can raise separate channel-level questions; a cloud encoder cannot grant rights or guarantee monetization.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Costs and continuity checks before you commit
Compare the full-month cost, not just the entry price
A continuous stream runs for the full month whether viewers are present or not. Compare the charge for the number of simultaneous streams you need, storage and transfer limits, extra outputs, and any regional charges. With a usage-billed API, model the hours and configuration you will actually run. With a managed service, check whether the advertised price covers one stream, the required quality, and your playlist size.
Confirm what happens when something fails
Ask how the service responds to a YouTube disconnect, an unreadable file, a failed upload, or an expired authorization. Confirm whether recovery is automatic or requires you to intervene, whether playback resumes at the failed item or restarts the playlist, and how you receive an alert. Marketing terms such as “stable” do not establish an uptime guarantee.

Plan stream keys and archive handling
Find out who can access the key or connected YouTube account, how to revoke access, and whether the service creates a new broadcast or keeps one persistent stream. Rotation and archiving behavior can differ depending on whether a vendor uses account authorization or a manually managed stream key; verify the behavior during setup.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your game replay or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded files from the cloud, so no computer or home internet connection has to stay on. It streams at the quality you uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, for one flat price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the Monthly plan is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo, or start your free first day.
