You can broadcast prerecorded Roblox gameplay replays continuously on YouTube by sending them through a livestream encoder. First make sure your channel is eligible to livestream, create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, and give the encoder the stream URL and stream key. Then keep the replay playout running—on a computer you maintain or through a cloud service. This is prerecorded footage, not a person actively playing live.
Choose how the replay will keep playing
A continuous stream needs a source that keeps sending video to YouTube. You can run that source locally or use hosted cloud playout. YouTube’s encoder guidance lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming; that listing is not an endorsement.

For a local setup, the steps below describe the general YouTube encoder workflow. The exact controls and file-looping method depend on the encoder you choose.
Prepare the channel and replay files
Check livestream eligibility
YouTube’s current livestream setup guidance says the channel must be verified, have no livestreaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and be operated by someone at least 16 years old. Initial activation of livestreaming can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this check until the planned start time.

Check the footage and audio rights
Before assembling a playlist, confirm that you have permission to use the gameplay and every audible element—especially music, sound effects, voice chat, and material created by other people. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the creator for having the necessary rights to exploit live content worldwide, including music licensing rights, and require compliance with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and applicable laws.
Roblox’s Terms of Use, effective May 19, 2026, say Roblox intellectual property may not be used except as allowed by the terms or with separate permission from its owner. Check the current terms and any applicable creator rules, and clear third-party material included in a replay as well.

Make the replay useful as a continuous program
A long sequence of gameplay is not automatically suitable for monetization. YouTube says monetization depends on commercial-use rights from the game publisher and warns that extended footage simply showing a person playing may not be accepted. Its example of gameplay that may qualify includes step-by-step commentary connected to the action that provides instructional or educational value.
YouTube’s channel monetization policy also warns against repetitive, interchangeable material with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation. The reused-content review applies to the channel as a whole. A loop of your own replays is not guaranteed monetization: consider adding original explanation, context, instruction, or substantive variety. Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions; satisfying one does not guarantee the other.

Roblox’s Video Highlight Guidelines address videos displayed on an experience’s details page, including restrictions on commercial videos and outside-vendor advertisements in those highlights. Those feature-specific rules should not be treated as automatic rules for every ordinary YouTube livestream. General Roblox terms and other applicable policies still matter.
Set up the YouTube Live encoder
- Prepare the replay source. Put the files you intend to play in a known location and confirm they open and play correctly. For a long-running local stream, ensure the computer has enough storage and access to the files throughout the broadcast. YouTube’s livestream tips recommend checking local archive-file integrity and confirming that an archive file is growing during an event.
- Create the stream in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room and prepare a livestream. YouTube’s encoder workflow provides a server URL and stream key for the encoder to send its feed.
- Configure your encoder. Enter the server URL and stream key from the Live Control Room. Set the replay file or playlist as the source and configure the encoder’s playout or looping behavior so it continues sending video. Use the encoder’s current guidance for video and audio settings; the exact controls and available values vary by encoder.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: it is part of the address and credential the encoder uses to send video to your channel. Do not publish it, show it on screen, or share it with anyone who should not be able to send a feed. If it is exposed, replace it in the Live Control Room and update the encoder.
- Run a short test before going public. Start with a private or unlisted test, then check the preview and watch page for picture, sound, and playback on the devices you care about. Confirm that the stream is using the intended replay and that it continues past a file boundary or playlist transition.
- Start the public broadcast and monitor it. A running encoder is not proof that viewers are receiving healthy audio and video. YouTube recommends continuous monitoring of stream quality. For a local setup, also keep an eye on the computer, network connection, source files, and available storage.
Keep a local stream running reliably
Local playout gives you direct access to the files and encoder, but it makes the broadcast dependent on your equipment and connection. A power interruption, computer sleep, network outage, encoder failure, or unavailable source file can stop the feed. Configure the computer not to sleep during the broadcast, keep the source files accessible, and have a plan to notice and respond to interruptions. These measures reduce avoidable failures; they do not guarantee uninterrupted streaming.

Check the encoder’s own documentation for its playlist, looping, reconnect, and alert controls. The exact settings are product-specific, so do not assume a menu name or recovery behavior that your encoder does not provide. YouTube advises monitoring audio and video rather than assuming a feed remains healthy.

YouTube’s encoder help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single 24-hour broadcast will create one complete archive. Check the current Live Control Room behavior and make a separate recording if you need a dependable copy of the full program. For local workflows, verify the recording destination, available space, and that the archive file is actually growing.

Troubleshoot common failures
