1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsYou can stream a Marathi-song playlist continuously to YouTube by preparing compatible media files, feeding them to FFmpeg, and sending the encoded output to the RTMPS address and stream key shown in YouTube Studio. A true 24/7 setup also depends on a stable, continuously running host and the right to broadcast every recording and composition in the playlist. FFmpeg and YouTube do not guarantee an uninterrupted 24-hour stream.
What a 24/7 Marathi music stream requires
Think of the setup as three connected parts: a playlist FFmpeg can read, an encoder connection YouTube can ingest, and permission to broadcast the music. If any part fails, the stream can stop or be interrupted. Marathi-language songs do not require a special encoding mode; the relevant technical details are the files’ audio and video streams, codecs, time bases, and the visual track you send to YouTube.
- Media: a sequence of files with compatible streams, plus a video track if the songs are audio-only.
- Connection: FFmpeg running on a host with reliable upload connectivity, configured with the server URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room.
- Rights: authorization covering the sound recordings and the underlying compositions for the relevant territories and channel.
Check the music rights before going live
Do not assume a song is safe to stream because it is available online, purchased, or credited in the description. YouTube Help says that “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can replace the picture with a placeholder, trigger a warning, interrupt the stream, or terminate it.
Before adding a song, confirm that your permission covers both the specific sound recording and the composition, the intended territories, and live streaming on your channel. A license by itself may not prevent an automated interruption: YouTube says a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for licensed third-party material. Confirm that arrangement with the rights holder before relying on the stream.

Prepare compatible files and a playlist
Check the files first
FFmpeg’s concat demuxer joins files consecutively without decoding and re-encoding them. That makes it efficient, but it has a strict compatibility requirement. The FFmpeg Project’s Formats Documentation says, “All files must have the same streams (same codecs, same time base, etc.).” Check that the files have the same set of streams and compatible codecs and time bases; do not assume that files with the same extension are compatible.
Verify durations and listen to transitions. Incorrect or estimated durations can cause glitches at file boundaries. If the playlist contains different formats or stream layouts, make compatible versions before relying on concat demuxing, or use a different workflow that decodes and re-encodes the material. Test the actual sequence rather than just a few individual files.
Create the concat list
Save a plain-text file named playlist.ffconcat in the same directory as the media files. The first line must be the exact signature shown here; put one file directive on each following line:
ffconcat version 1.0
file 'track-01.mp4'
file 'track-02.mp4'
file 'track-03.mp4'
Use paths relative to the list file when practical, and keep names simple. FFmpeg’s concat demuxer uses safe-path checking by default: safe=1 rejects paths it considers unsafe. The example below retains that default. Only relax it when you understand and trust both the list and every referenced path; do not point an unsafe list at files you have not checked.
Decide what viewers will see
If each file already contains video, the concat input can provide the visual and audio streams, provided the files meet the compatibility requirements. If the songs are audio-only, the list does not create video for you. Supply a separate visual track, such as a still image, and map that image alongside the playlist audio in FFmpeg. The example below assumes compatible audio-only files and a prepared image named cover.png.

Configure YouTube Live Control Room
- In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream you intend to use, then open its Live Control Room encoder setup.
- Copy the server URL and stream key displayed for that stream. YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion. Keep the stream key secret: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a broadcast to your stream.
- Use the copied values in FFmpeg’s output destination. Do not publish them in a script, screenshot, command history, or public repository. If a key is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder configuration.
- Start FFmpeg and wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room. Confirm the preview and stream health before treating the broadcast as live to viewers.
Choose encoder settings and start the playlist
YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends H.264 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval, with a maximum interval of four seconds. For a typical SDR broadcast, H.264 video with AAC audio is a suitable documented combination. YouTube recommends RTMPS as the ingest protocol.
There is no single safe bitrate for every connection or resolution. Choose a bitrate appropriate to the output you intend to send and that your actual upload connection can sustain; then test it while monitoring stream health. Test representative movement, audio level, and playlist transitions. The following command is a starting point for compatible audio-only inputs plus a still image. Set the shell variables to your own tested values, and use the exact server URL and key from Studio.
export YOUTUBE_RTMPS_URL='paste-the-RTMPS-server-URL-from-Studio-here'
export STREAM_KEY='paste-the-stream-key-from-Studio-here'
export VIDEO_BITRATE='your-tested-video-bitrate'
export AUDIO_BITRATE='your-tested-audio-bitrate'
ffmpeg -re
-loop 1 -framerate 30 -i cover.png
-stream_loop -1 -f concat -safe 1 -i playlist.ffconcat
-map 0:v:0 -map 1:a:0
-c:v libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -r 30
-b:v "$VIDEO_BITRATE" -minrate "$VIDEO_BITRATE" -maxrate "$VIDEO_BITRATE"
-g 60 -keyint_min 60 -sc_threshold 0
-c:a aac -b:a "$AUDIO_BITRATE"
-f flv "$YOUTUBE_RTMPS_URL/$STREAM_KEY"
This example re-encodes the image and audio to H.264 and AAC and sets a 60-frame GOP at 30 frames per second, corresponding to a two-second keyframe interval. The concat input is looped, and the still image supplies video while the audio playlist runs. It assumes your FFmpeg build includes the libx264 encoder, that the file list is valid, and that all playlist files expose compatible audio streams. Adapt the mapping and input setup if your media already contains video. The bitrate variables are deliberately not assigned universal numeric values: choose them for your target output and tested connection rather than copying a number that may not fit your setup.
The -re option reads input at its native rate instead of processing it as fast as possible. The output uses FLV packaging for the RTMP-family ingest destination. If FFmpeg reports that the selected encoder or an input cannot be opened, inspect the build and paths before changing encoder settings.
Make the broadcast dependable and verify it
A 24/7 target means the operator intends the stream to remain continuous; it is not an uninterrupted-runtime guarantee from FFmpeg or YouTube. Your chosen computer or server must stay on, FFmpeg must keep running, and the host must have a stable network connection. YouTube’s encoder guidance establishes ingest settings, not a universal restart command or a configuration that guarantees recovery on every host.

Know what YouTube archives
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its encoder guidance does not promise that a longer continuous transmission will be retained as one complete replay. If you need a complete archive, plan a separate recording or segmented-stream strategy and verify YouTube’s current behavior rather than assuming a single 24-hour broadcast will produce one full replay.

What the DIY method requires
FFmpeg itself is the encoder in this workflow; the cost and reliability of keeping it running depend on the computer or server, storage, power, and internet connection you use. A home computer must remain on and connected. A hosted machine changes where the process runs, but it still needs a working encoder setup and a plan for failures. There is no necessary hardware purchase established for this workflow.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos or playlists. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; the stream continues from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. The service includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Each slot streams uploaded material as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality tiers. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, or start the free day.
StreamNeo streams to YouTube and plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast from a live camera. A cloud service does not grant music rights, so confirm the Marathi recordings and compositions are cleared for your channel before uploading them.
Troubleshooting common failures
FFmpeg rejects the concat list or stops at a track boundary
Check that the first line is exactly ffconcat version 1.0, that every filename and relative path is correct, and that the default safe-path rules allow the entries. Confirm that all files contain the same streams with compatible codecs and time bases. Check actual durations and listen to the transition where playback fails.

YouTube does not show an incoming preview
Confirm FFmpeg is still running, that the output destination combines the Studio server URL and the correct stream key, and that the selected destination uses the RTMPS URL supplied by Studio. Keep the key private; if it may have been exposed, replace it in Studio and update the command.
Recommended Free Tools
The stream looks unstable or YouTube reports poor health
Check the host’s upload stability and whether the selected bitrate can be sustained by that connection. Reduce the target bitrate or output demands if the connection cannot hold them, then test again and monitor the Live Control Room. Do not infer a universal bitrate from a single test on a different network.
The picture is blank or the audio is missing
For audio-only songs, verify the image input and the video mapping; a concat list of audio files does not create a picture. For a silent stream, verify the playlist has audio streams and that the command maps the audio input, then check its playback locally before sending it to YouTube.
The stream is interrupted after a copyright match
Review YouTube’s notice and contact the relevant rights holder. Confirm that your permission covers the sound recording, composition, territories, and live use; where the material is licensed, ask whether the channel must be allowlisted in Content ID. Crediting the music or owning a copy does not establish broadcast permission.
The FFmpeg process ends or the broadcast drops later
Inspect the FFmpeg output and the host’s network and process logs to identify whether the cause is a file, encoder, host, or ingest failure. Test the same setup for a representative long run and arrange monitoring and a host-appropriate restart method. The FFmpeg and YouTube guidance cited here does not establish one restart command that will work for every host.
