Yes. If your channel is in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and you accept the Watch Page Monetization Module, eligible Premium-member viewing of your live stream can earn you a share of YouTube Premium subscription fees. YouTube says that share is based on how much members watch your content—not simply how long your stream stays live. Its published guidance gives no special 24/7 payment rule or guaranteed amount.
How Premium revenue applies to live streams
YouTube defines Watch Pages to include pages where viewers watch long-form videos and live-streaming videos. Its monetization guidance says creators can earn Premium revenue for eligible content on those pages, subject to the required terms. That means the general Watch Page rule applies to live streams, including a continuous broadcast; YouTube’s guidance does not establish a separate rule for streams that run around the clock.
Premium revenue is separate from advertising revenue. A Premium member may watch without seeing ads, but their viewing can still contribute to the creator’s share of subscription fees. YouTube describes the allocation basis this way: “Revenue from YouTube Premium membership fees is distributed to video creators based on how much members watch your content.” YouTube Help: Your content & YouTube Premium.
What you need to qualify
- YPP access: Your channel must be accepted into the YouTube Partner Program and remain eligible under YouTube’s monetization policies.
- Watch Page Monetization Module: Accept the module in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s guidance says that to earn Premium revenue for long-form videos, creators must accept the Watch Page Monetization Module and turn on Watch Page ads. The same page identifies live-streaming videos as Watch Page content. Check your current Earn tab and terms for the requirements that apply to your channel. - Eligible viewing: A Premium member must watch your content. A stream being live, or accumulating hours of availability, does not by itself establish Premium revenue.
How much can a 24/7 stream earn?
YouTube’s published explanation ties Premium revenue to how much members watch. The reviewed guidance does not give a universal rate per view, per hour, or per continuous stream, nor does it provide an individual-stream calculator. So you can confirm that eligible Premium viewing may earn revenue, but you cannot calculate a guaranteed payout from a stream’s duration alone.

There is also no published guarantee that running continuously will produce a minimum amount. Actual revenue depends on eligible member viewing and YouTube’s allocation; do not treat a 24/7 schedule as a monetization shortcut or promise of income.

YouTube lists fan-funding options alongside other monetization features, each with its own requirements. See YouTube Help: Ways to make money in the YouTube Partner Program. Its reported “over 20% uplift in instream ad revenue per hour” concerned channels using automatic live mid-roll ads compared with channels that did not, averaged across 207 countries in January 2024. That figure is about ad revenue, not Premium subscription revenue, and should not be used to estimate Premium earnings.
