Can YouTube Live Show a Continuous Virtual Apartment Tour Playlist?

YouTube documents Live as a broadcast feed, not a playlist of prerecorded tours. Here are the practical options for presenting virtual apartment tours continuously.

Not as a native YouTube Studio playlist feature, based on YouTube’s official guidance checked October 3, 2026. YouTube documents Live as a broadcast feed sent from a supported source such as an encoder; its playlist guidance covers organizing a stream’s archive and highlights afterward. To present prerecorded apartment tours continuously as a live broadcast, you would need an external workflow that sends a live feed to YouTube, and you should verify that workflow’s sequencing and reliability yourself.

A video playlist is not the same as a YouTube Live broadcast

A YouTube playlist organizes published videos for playback. A Live broadcast, in the documented workflows, is a feed sent to YouTube using a supported method such as a mobile device, webcam, console, or encoder. YouTube’s official documentation does not describe a built-in option that takes a playlist of uploaded apartment tours and continuously broadcasts it as one Live event. YouTube’s live-streaming overview and encoder instructions explain supported broadcast workflows; playlist guidance covers organizing archives and highlights.

This is a documentation-based answer, not proof that no third-party production workflow can create the experience. If you consider one, check its playlist automation, YouTube compatibility, rights handling, and recovery behavior rather than assuming YouTube itself sequences tour videos.

Choose the format that matches the viewing experience

Approach What it does What to consider
Published playlist of apartment tours Lets viewers play a sequence of published videos; replays and highlights can be organized into a channel playlist. It is not a live broadcast. Use this when straightforward on-demand viewing and organization matter more than a live event.
Encoder-fed Live program Sends a live feed to YouTube through an encoder. An external production workflow may be able to present prerecorded tours in sequence, but the official guidance does not establish playlist automation. Verify sequencing, supervision needs, transitions, and stream compatibility with the encoder provider.

Decide whether viewers need a true Live event, whether the tours must run in a fixed order, how transitions should work, and who will monitor the broadcast. A normal published playlist is the simpler fit when the goal is simply to let viewers watch tours one after another.

How to set up an encoder-fed broadcast

YouTube’s documented encoder path requires a live feed and the YouTube live server URL and stream key. It does not supply a playlist of tour videos; any automation that creates such a feed must come from the external production setup you choose.

  1. Confirm Live access. Review YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance for your account and chosen method.
  2. Build and test the program in your chosen production workflow. If you want prerecorded tours to play in sequence, verify that the software or service supports that behavior and can keep sending a compatible live feed. Test the order, transitions, and what happens when a video ends or the feed fails.
  3. Schedule the broadcast if useful. YouTube says scheduling can create a promoted watch page and let viewers receive reminders. See YouTube’s scheduling guidance.
  4. Connect the encoder to YouTube. In the encoder, enter YouTube’s live server URL and stream key as directed by YouTube’s encoder instructions. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
  5. Start the feed and monitor it. YouTube recommends encoder use for higher-production-value events and advises creators to monitor stream health and quality. Check the live preview and stream-health indicators before promoting the viewing link; consult YouTube’s stream-health guidance.
  6. Plan for the end of the event. YouTube documents Live Redirect as a way to send viewers to another live stream or Premiere after the current stream ends. It is an end-of-stream handoff, not a documented tool for automatically playing a playlist of tour videos. See Live Redirect guidance.

Duration, DVR, and replay considerations

YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For streams longer than 12 hours, DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable; YouTube describes DVR as allowing viewers to pause, rewind, and continue during a Live stream. See encoder instructions and DVR guidance. If replay organization matters, YouTube’s playlist guidance explains how to organize a stream archive and highlight clips after the event: YouTube playlists.

Copyright and channel-policy checks

Before broadcasting apartment tours, confirm you have the rights to use every video, soundtrack, voice-over, and other included material in a live stream. A video being uploaded to your channel does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast every element. Review YouTube’s current YouTube policies and any rights or licensing terms that apply to your material. Also check YouTube’s current live-streaming account requirements and guidance before scheduling; eligibility and interface details can change.

Common problems and practical fixes

  • The tours appear as ordinary videos, not Live. A channel playlist plays published videos; it does not turn them into a live feed. Use the encoder-fed approach only if a true broadcast is required.
  • The next tour does not start automatically. Do not assume YouTube playlist or Live Redirect settings provide sequential playback. Check the external workflow’s automation and test the full sequence before sharing the event.
  • The stream does not appear or connect. Confirm the encoder is using the correct YouTube live server URL and current stream key, then check YouTube’s preview and stream-health information.
  • The broadcast ends but viewers are not moved to the next event. Live Redirect is a handoff at the end of a stream to another live stream or Premiere; set up and test the intended destination rather than treating it as playlist sequencing.
  • Viewers cannot rewind far enough. For very long streams, DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. Keep the duration implications in mind and consider publishing or organizing replays for on-demand viewing.
