Can YouTube Studio Schedule a Prerecorded 24/7 Cartoon Livestream?

YouTube Studio schedules the event, not the cartoon playback. An encoder must provide and loop the feed; a 24-hour stream also has archive and DVR limits.

Yes, YouTube Studio can schedule the livestream event—but scheduling does not play or loop your cartoon. An encoder must send the video feed to YouTube, and you must start the stream and confirm it in Live Control Room unless you configure the encoder’s documented auto-start behavior. Whether the encoder can loop your particular video continuously is a separate question.

What scheduling does—and does not do

In Live Control Room, choose Manage, then Schedule Stream. YouTube says scheduling can help promote the event and let viewers set reminders. It creates the planned livestream and its watch page; it does not itself supply the prerecorded cartoon as a live feed. YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

For an encoder-based scheduled stream, YouTube’s documented workflow is to enter the YouTube stream URL and key in an encoder, start sending the stream, check the preview in Live Control Room, and click Go live. YouTube also documents auto-start and auto-stop settings for encoder streams. Those settings concern starting and stopping the stream from the encoder; they do not make Studio loop a video file. See YouTube’s encoder instructions and its stream settings guidance.

How to schedule the event and send a prerecorded cartoon

  1. Check channel eligibility. YouTube lists channel verification, no livestreaming restrictions in the prior 90 days, and a minimum age of 16 among its livestreaming requirements. Review YouTube’s livestreaming eligibility requirements.
  2. Schedule the event. In Live Control Room, open Manage and select Schedule Stream. Set the event details and planned start time, then share the watch page if you want viewers to find it and set reminders. YouTube’s scheduling guidance is at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
  3. Choose and configure an encoder. Confirm in the encoder’s current documentation that it can play your file and loop it for the duration you need. Add the YouTube stream URL and stream key to the encoder as YouTube instructs. Keep the key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your channel.
  4. Test before the public start. Use an unlisted test event or another appropriate test setup. Check that the cartoon plays, the encoder actually loops it, and Live Control Room receives a stable preview. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring stream quality; its guidance identifies software encoders and recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, but does not make hardware mandatory for this use case. See YouTube’s live encoder settings and recommendations.
  5. Start the scheduled broadcast. At the planned time, start the encoder if it is not set to auto-start. Check the preview in Live Control Room and click Go live. Follow the encoder maker’s instructions for keeping playback looping and for recovering if the encoder or connection stops.

What to expect from a 24-hour stream

A 24-hour broadcast crosses YouTube’s documented 12-hour thresholds. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume that a 24-hour stream will be saved in full as a replay. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours, which can affect viewers’ ability to rewind or pause and resume. See YouTube’s encoder help and its DVR guidance.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

The official guidance explains scheduling and encoder ingestion but does not promise that one scheduled session can run indefinitely. Nor does it establish that every encoder can loop an arbitrary prerecorded cartoon continuously. Check the selected encoder’s current documentation and plan to monitor the stream rather than treating a scheduled event as unattended playback automation.

Copyright and channel rules still apply

Scheduling a cartoon does not change YouTube’s rules for livestreamed content. Make sure you have the rights or permissions needed to stream the cartoon, soundtrack, and any other included material. Also check the channel’s eligibility and restrictions before planning a long broadcast. For YouTube’s channel requirements, see its livestreaming eligibility page.
