For a prerecorded property-tour loop, StreamNeo is the easiest cloud option to try first: upload your video, add your YouTube stream key, and let it play continuously without keeping a computer on. YouTube also lists Gyre for cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded streaming and the AJA HELO Plus for scheduling prerecorded media without a computer. If you already have a computer you can leave running, a compatible local encoder is another route.
The right choice depends on whether you need a continuous loop or a scheduled broadcast, and whether you want playback handled in the cloud, on a dedicated encoder, or on your own computer. YouTube’s verified-encoder list is a directory of third-party products, not a real-estate workflow review or a guarantee of service quality.
Which option fits a prerecorded property-tour loop?
These options move the playback and streaming work to different places. YouTube Live receives an encoder feed; uploading a regular video to YouTube by itself does not create an encoder-driven live broadcast.
| Option | Where playback runs | Documented fit | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud | Always-on YouTube streaming from uploaded videos, with looping and playlists. | Useful when you do not want a home computer to remain on. It is a YouTube-only service and plays uploaded video, not a live camera feed. |
| Gyre | Cloud | YouTube’s verified-encoder list describes it as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 live streaming of prerecorded videos. | The cited material establishes its listed use, not comparative uptime, pricing, or real-estate-specific performance. |
| AJA HELO Plus | Dedicated hardware encoder | YouTube’s listing says its PlayToStream feature can schedule prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. | A hardware-based workflow may suit an operator who wants playback and streaming handled by an encoder. Verify file and format compatibility for your tour. |
| Local software encoder | Your computer | YouTube supports encoder-based streaming generally; a compatible software encoder can connect to YouTube Live’s server URL and stream key. | The computer and network connection must remain available for the broadcast. The cited official guidance does not compare local software’s cost or uptime with cloud services. |
For this use case, start with StreamNeo if you want a continuous cloud loop, consider Gyre as another listed cloud option, and look at the HELO Plus if scheduled playback on dedicated hardware is your preference. Choose a local encoder when you already have a suitable computer and can operate it throughout the stream. These are workflow recommendations, not a tested performance ranking.

What to check before streaming a property tour
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the day of a property launch or scheduled event.
Clear the video and audio for this use
YouTube requires live streams to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Confirm that you have permission to use the property footage and every included sound recording or music track for the intended broadcast. YouTube’s cited encoder help does not set out property-tour-specific rights rules; rights depend on the material and permissions involved.

Check the footage type
For an ordinary flat video tour, use the normal encoder guidance below. A 360-degree tour has separate YouTube live-stream instructions: YouTube specifies equirectangular projection and prefers 2160p or 1440p for 360 live streams. Those requirements should not be applied to ordinary flat video.
Set up a local encoder workflow
This path keeps playback on your own computer. The precise menu names vary by encoder, so use its current instructions for loading and looping a file. YouTube’s general encoder setup provides the destination and stream key; YouTube does not specify a particular local software product as the best choice for property tours.

- Enable live streaming. In YouTube Studio, verify the channel and confirm it is eligible to stream. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Create or schedule the live stream. In YouTube Studio’s live control room, create the broadcast and select an encoder-based streaming workflow. Review its visibility and scheduling details before sending a public feed.
- Copy the ingest details. Copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for the broadcast into the matching fields in your encoder. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it, include it in a video, or share it with people who should not control the stream.
- Load the prerecorded tour. In the encoder, select the intended property-tour file as the video source and configure playback to repeat if you want a loop. Check that the beginning and end join acceptably; a loop may otherwise show a visible pause or abrupt jump.
- Set the output. YouTube recommends H.264 video, constant bitrate encoding, and a two-second keyframe interval; it says not to exceed four seconds. Use RTMPS where your encoder supports it. These are YouTube recommendations, and encoders may expose or label the settings differently.
- Test before publishing. YouTube recommends testing with sound and movement similar to the actual stream. Check the picture, audio, loop transition, and stream health in the live control room before making the broadcast public.
- Keep the local setup running. For this workflow, the computer, encoder, video source, and network connection need to remain available for the duration of the broadcast. Monitor stream health while it is live.
For a 360-degree property tour, confirm that the encoder and file are configured for YouTube’s equirectangular 360 workflow rather than assuming the normal flat-video configuration is suitable.

Costs and practical trade-offs
A local encoder may be practical when you already own a suitable computer, but account for the cost of keeping it and its network connection available during the broadcast. A cloud service or dedicated encoder shifts some or all of that operating work away from the computer. The available YouTube material does not establish comparative service prices, independent uptime figures, or which option performs best for real estate, so compare current plan and hardware costs directly before committing.
For StreamNeo, each slot includes one always-on stream, looping and playlists, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Every plan has the same product; only the billing period changes. See StreamNeo plans for current options. Troubleshooting a prerecorded live stream
- You cannot start an encoder stream: Check channel verification and whether the channel has live-streaming restrictions from the previous 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- YouTube does not receive a feed: Confirm the server URL and stream key match the broadcast, and check the encoder’s connection and network access. If you exposed the key, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder.
- The picture or stream health is poor: Check the encoder’s output settings against YouTube’s recommendations for H.264, constant bitrate, and a two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds). Test with movement and sound similar to the actual tour.
- The tour does not repeat: Confirm that repeat or playlist behavior is enabled in the playback service or encoder. Inspect the final seconds and opening frames for an abrupt transition.
- A 360-degree tour looks wrong: Verify that it uses equirectangular projection and the separate 360 live-stream workflow. YouTube prefers 2160p or 1440p for 360 live streams; this does not describe ordinary flat video requirements.
- YouTube drops the broadcast: Check the live control room’s stream health and the encoder or service connection. A local workflow also depends on the computer and network staying available; a cloud service can handle recovery differently, but no comparative uptime guarantee is established here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I simply upload the tour as a normal YouTube video and have it appear as a live stream?
No. A prerecorded encoder-driven live broadcast requires an encoder feed to YouTube Live; a standard video upload is a different YouTube format.
Does YouTube’s verified-encoder list mean a product is made or guaranteed by YouTube?
No. YouTube identifies listed encoders as third-party products. A listing is not a guarantee of service quality or a review of a real-estate workflow.
