You can run a 24/7 YouTube radio-style stream of Gujarati garba instrumentals by sending a continuous feed from an encoder—or by using a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Before you configure anything, verify that your channel can livestream and confirm you have rights for every recording, composition, territory, and planned livestream archive. YouTube supports encoder streaming, but its guidance does not prescribe a tested unattended 24/7 setup or a minimum computer specification.
1. Make sure your channel can livestream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no livestreaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. If you are enabling livestreaming for the first time, activation may take up to 24 hours, so do this before you plan a launch. See YouTube’s livestreaming access and setup guidance.
2. Choose how to keep the stream running
Computer running an encoder
YouTube supports encoder-based streaming, including software applications running on a computer and standalone hardware encoders. For a radio-style feed, the encoder sends audio and video to YouTube; the computer and network connection must remain available while you operate it. YouTube’s general guidance does not establish a particular software configuration, bitrate, or computer specification for unattended 24/7 music streaming. Start with the encoder’s current documentation and YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Hosted cloud streaming
A cloud service can run uploaded video without keeping a computer at home switched on. YouTube’s encoder help page lists Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos; that listing alone does not establish its current suitability, capabilities, or terms for an audio-led Gujarati radio stream.

3. Clear the music and visual rights first
Do not assume that an instrumental track, a traditional melody, or a recording found online is free to use. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other rights participants; rules in the relevant territories also apply. The rights for a composition and for a particular sound recording may involve different parties. Review YouTube’s Terms of Service and establish the scope of permission for your intended use before putting tracks on air.
- Confirm permission for each sound recording and composition, including continuous livestream use.
- Check which territories the permission covers and whether it covers an archived replay after the live broadcast.
- Ask the licensor whether your channel must be added to a Content ID allowlist before streaming.
- Check that any still image, artwork, animation, or other visual used in the stream is also cleared for your intended use.
YouTube says it scans all live streams for matches to third-party content. If it identifies content that remains in the stream, it may temporarily interrupt or terminate the livestream. If a track is licensed, YouTube still advises creators to ask the rights owner to allowlist the channel where required; a licence alone does not guarantee that the stream will avoid interruption. An archived livestream can also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and Content ID claims.

4. Prepare the continuous feed and connect it to YouTube
Arrange the audio and visuals
Prepare the recordings and any visual material you have cleared. If you are using an encoder, configure it to send a continuous feed; if you are using a hosted service, check that it supports your intended playlist and audio-led presentation before relying on it. No universal video resolution, bitrate, keyframe interval, or computer requirement for this specific 24/7 use is established by the YouTube guidance cited here, so do not copy settings from another stream without checking them against your encoder and connection.
Connect with the stream URL and key
In YouTube’s live setup, select the encoder workflow and use the stream URL and stream key shown in the stream settings to connect your encoder. The key is a credential that lets an encoder send a feed to your channel: treat it like a password, do not publish it, and reset it if it is exposed. YouTube also provides stream choices such as latency and DVR; choose them for the way viewers will use your channel rather than assuming a single setting suits every stream. See YouTube’s stream settings guidance.

5. Test the stream, check bandwidth, and monitor it
- Run a private or otherwise limited test first. Check that the encoder connects and that the intended audio and visual feed appears in YouTube’s Live Control Room preview.
- Check where viewers will see it. Confirm that the stream is visible on the channel and watch pages, and check it on a mobile device as well as the device used to configure it.
- Leave network headroom. YouTube recommends keeping upload capacity 20% above the total stream bitrate, including primary and backup streams if you use them. Other people or devices sharing the connection can reduce the capacity available to your stream. See YouTube’s live encoder settings and bandwidth guidance.
- Listen and watch during operation. Verify that music plays at the expected level, the visual remains present, and the stream stays connected. YouTube recommends monitoring audio and video; for a continuous channel, plan who or what will notice a feed interruption and how you will respond.
- Check the archive if you keep one. Confirm that the recording is usable and review it for claims after the broadcast ends, since livestream archives may receive Content ID claims later.
YouTube’s general live-stream tips recommend setting up an encoder at least two hours before a stream and starting it at least 15 minutes before a scheduled start. For a continuous radio channel, treat those timings as useful preparation for a planned launch or test—not as a special 24/7 uptime rule. The same guidance covers previewing the feed and checking the event on channel, watch, and mobile pages: YouTube live-streaming tips.
6. Troubleshoot common interruptions
- You cannot start a livestream: confirm channel verification and check for livestream restrictions in the past 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours for it to become available.
- The encoder will not connect: check that you selected the correct stream URL and key, that the key has not been reset, and that your encoder is sending a feed. Keep the key private.
- The preview is missing or the feed is not visible to viewers: check the encoder output in Live Control Room, then verify the channel and watch pages and a mobile view. Do not treat a successful local encoder display as proof that viewers can see the YouTube stream.
- The stream drops or becomes unstable: check the available upload capacity and competing network use. Compare the available upload bandwidth with the total stream bitrate and preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
- YouTube interrupts or ends the stream: a third-party content match may be responsible. Review the live-content rights and ask the rights owner about channel allowlisting; a claimed licence does not by itself guarantee uninterrupted streaming.
- A claim appears after the stream: review the archived livestream and the claim details. YouTube may apply Content ID claims to an archive after the live broadcast is over.
