To loop Indian classical music videos on YouTube Live, send a continuous feed from an encoder or a cloud streaming service; YouTube does not turn an ordinary video or playlist into a live broadcast. For a local setup, play a playlist that restarts into an encoder, connect that encoder to a YouTube Live stream, and keep the computer and upload connection running. For 2160p60 H.264, YouTube recommends a 35 Mbps video bitrate, plus a stable connection with additional capacity for overhead.
Choose how the videos will feed the live stream
A YouTube Live broadcast needs a continuous incoming feed. The loop is created by the playback source or streaming service, while YouTube receives that feed through an encoder connection.
| Approach | Control and setup | What must keep running | Playlist looping |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo cloud service | Upload videos, add the YouTube stream key, and start the stream. | The cloud service handles playback; your home computer does not need to stay on. | 24/7 looping and playlists are included. |
| Local computer and encoder | You choose the playback and encoding software and route the playlist into the encoder. YouTube documents encoder ingestion, not one universal local looping application. | The computer, playback source, encoder, and network connection must remain operational. | Configure the local playback workflow to repeat or restart its playlist. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | YouTube lists the Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K as capable of direct streaming up to 2160p60. | The encoder and a continuing video source must remain operational. | The cited YouTube listing does not establish playlist creation or looping; provide a separate suitable source. |
| Gyre cloud service | Gyre describes uploading prerecorded videos and arranging them into a playlist. | According to Gyre’s service description, its cloud workflow handles the continuous broadcast. | Gyre says it restarts the playlist when it ends; check its current service details at Gyre. |
StreamNeo is #1 for a cloud YouTube loop: it keeps uploaded videos running from the cloud, accepts video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
4K60 is not required for music playback. If the recordings, encoder, or upload connection cannot sustain it, use a lower resolution or frame rate. YouTube transcodes incoming streams into output formats for viewers’ devices and networks; the delivered playback format can differ from your encoder’s input.

Check music and channel rights before streaming
Use only recordings and compositions for which you have the necessary rights to broadcast on YouTube Live. Permission to listen to or upload a recording does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it in a continuous live stream. The rights status of any particular Indian classical performance or online video must be checked with its rights holder; do not assume that a devotional, traditional, or publicly available recording is cleared.
- Keep documentation of the permissions or licences that cover both the recording and the underlying composition, where applicable.
- Do not download and rebroadcast another creator’s video unless you have permission covering that use.
- Do not assume a looped-music channel qualifies for monetization; eligibility depends on YouTube’s rules and the channel’s circumstances.
Prepare the YouTube channel and stream
- Enable live streaming. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s live tips say the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the prior 90 days; see YouTube live tips.
- Prepare the source. For a local workflow, arrange the video files in the intended sequence and configure playback to restart the playlist. Route that continuous playback into your encoder. With a cloud service, upload the videos and configure its playlist using the service’s current instructions.
- Create or schedule a broadcast. In YouTube Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream, then copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder or streaming service as directed by YouTube’s encoder setup guide.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Keep it out of public pages and recordings, and reset it through YouTube’s live settings if it is exposed.
- Set resolution and frame rate. Choose 2160p (4K) at 60 fps only if the source, encoder, and connection can sustain it. Match the feed to the quality you intend to publish; sending a lower-quality source at 4K does not restore detail that is not in the original.
Set the encoder for 4K60
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends the following settings for a 2160p60 live feed. The bitrate targets below refer to the outgoing video bitrate, not the total internet plan speed.

| Setting | Recommended value or choice | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution and frame rate | 2160p at 60 fps | Use only when the source, encoder, and upload link can sustain it. |
| Video codec | H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 | YouTube lists these for RTMP/RTMPS ingestion. |
| Video bitrate, H.264 | 35 Mbps recommended | YouTube’s recommendation for 2160p60; do not treat the AV1/H.265 range as an H.264 range. |
| Video bitrate, AV1 or H.265 | 10–40 Mbps | YouTube lists this minimum-to-maximum range for 2160p60. |
| Rate control | CBR | YouTube recommends constant bitrate. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds recommended; no more than 4 seconds | Configure this in the encoder if the setting is available. |
| Ingestion protocol | RTMPS recommended | Use the protocol and server details shown in YouTube Live Control Room. |
| Latency | Normal latency at 4K | YouTube says low-latency optimization is unavailable at 4K. |
Use YouTube’s live encoder bitrate and resolution guidance when setting the encoder. A 35 Mbps video feed needs more than 35 Mbps of dependable upload capacity in practice to leave room for audio and network overhead; avoid relying on a connection that only reaches the target intermittently.
Test, start, and monitor the broadcast
- Run a test with representative footage: include the kinds of motion and audio levels present in the actual playlist.
- Open the stream preview in Live Control Room. Confirm the picture, 60 fps setting, and sound before making the broadcast public or starting the intended run.
- Start the encoder or cloud stream, then verify that YouTube is receiving the feed and check its stream-health messages. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring; consult its live tips and encoder guidance.
- Watch the stream through a viewer device as well as the control room when possible, so you can catch muted audio, a frozen source, or a playlist that fails to restart.
Plan for archives and long-running loops
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. It also says 1440p and 2160p streams are automatically archived, but warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete replay matters, keep a local recording rather than relying on the live archive alone. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Troubleshoot common failures
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube receives no video | The encoder is not sending, or the stream URL/key is incorrect. | Check the encoder destination and key against Live Control Room. If the key was exposed, reset it in YouTube live settings. |
| 4K60 drops frames or disconnects | The encoder or upload connection cannot sustain the selected bitrate. | Check stream-health messages and actual upload stability. Reduce resolution, frame rate, or bitrate to a sustainable setting if needed. |
| Picture quality is soft despite a 4K setting | The source file may not contain 4K detail, or the incoming feed may be constrained. | Confirm the source properties and encoder output; a higher output setting cannot add detail absent from the source. |
| Audio is silent, clipped, or inconsistent | Playback routing, encoder audio input, or source levels may be wrong. | Test representative tracks in preview, confirm the selected audio source, and correct levels before going live. |
| The same sequence does not repeat | The local player or service playlist is not configured to restart, or playback has stopped. | Test a complete playlist cycle before the broadcast and confirm the repeat/restart setting in the playback workflow. |
| The replay is missing or incomplete | The stream exceeded 12 hours or archiving did not complete. | Keep a local recording when a complete archive is important; consult YouTube’s archive guidance. |
