Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUse YouTube’s Shopping product tags and pinning to help viewers find an eligible product, then add a separate on-screen graphic if you need MRP and the offer price displayed together throughout the live. YouTube’s help pages describe product discovery and retailer handoff, but do not guarantee that every Shopping surface shows both prices together or provide a native recurring MRP-and-offer-price loop.
Choose how viewers will see the product and price
There are two complementary options: YouTube Shopping’s native product controls, and a creator-controlled stream graphic. The native controls link viewers to product information; a graphic gives you control over how MRP and the current offer price are presented on screen.
| Option | What it does | Price control and limitations |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube product tagging and pinning | Eligible creators can tag products in a live stream. Viewers can use the Shopping control to open the tagged list, and the creator can pin a featured product. Depending on format and availability, YouTube may show a product shelf, Shopping button, or pinned product. YouTube’s live-stream product instructions | Product information comes from the retailer and may change. YouTube surfaces can display a price, but the documentation does not promise that MRP and offer price appear together on every surface, or that the creator can directly edit that presentation. Check price, availability, and purchase terms with the retailer. YouTube Shopping information for viewers |
| Creator-controlled overlay or full-screen graphic | Shows the amounts and labels you design, such as “MRP” and “Offer price,” on the live video. | You control the graphic, but must verify its details against the seller’s current offer and update or remove it when terms change. YouTube’s reviewed help documentation does not describe a native recurring price-loop control. |
Set up YouTube Shopping for the live
- Check eligibility and availability. Confirm that your channel and product qualify for YouTube Shopping, and that the item can be shown to the intended audience. Product visibility can depend on creator eligibility, content restrictions, region, and shipping availability. YouTube’s live product-tagging guidance
- Tag the product. In YouTube Studio or the live-stream workflow available to your channel, select the product you will feature. Viewers can use the Shopping control to open the tagged list; the exact surface shown can vary.
- Pin the featured item. Use the live product controls to pin the item you are discussing. Where possible, finish selecting and ordering products before the stream. YouTube recommends making changes at least 30 minutes before the live for the best viewer experience, and warns that changes made during a live may not appear for some viewers. YouTube’s live product-tagging instructions
- Check what viewers can open. A product shelf beside or below an eligible video or live stream may show items and prices. Selecting an item may open a preview or send the viewer to the official retailer. The retailer supplies product information; viewers should confirm price, availability, and purchase terms there. YouTube Shopping information for viewers
Add an MRP-and-offer graphic if both amounts must stay visible
If viewers need to see MRP and the current offer price together without opening Shopping, prepare a separate overlay or full-screen card in your normal stream-graphics workflow. Treat it as a creator-controlled visual, not a YouTube Shopping setting.
- Verify the seller’s current terms. Confirm the MRP, offer price, product variant, eligibility conditions, offer dates, and any other material terms directly with the seller or current listing before preparing the graphic.
- Label each figure plainly. Identify which amount is MRP and which is the offer price. Do not rely on color, strikethrough, or placement alone to communicate the difference.
- Set an update plan. Assign someone to check the offer during the live if it can change, and be ready to replace or remove the graphic when the offer expires, stock changes, or availability no longer matches what it says.
- Preview the live layout. Check that the graphic is readable on mobile as well as larger screens and does not cover the product, pinned item, or other essential information.
These are practical communication steps, not a claim that YouTube offers a built-in MRP/offer-price loop. The price shown on a Shopping surface may be controlled by retailer data and can differ from a creator’s graphic if one becomes stale.

Check restrictions and regional visibility
YouTube says product tags may be hidden in certain cases, including content with claimed material, content marked Made for Kids, content with limited monetization, paid content, or content blocked for ads. Region and delivery eligibility can also affect what viewers see. Confirm the product display from the relevant viewer context rather than assuming every audience member sees the same Shopping controls. YouTube’s live product-tagging guidance
For India-facing sales, review the applicable disclosure rules
India’s Department of Consumer Affairs identifies the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, and describes a retail sale price declaration in MRP form for covered packaged commodities. Government materials also discuss MRP in Indian currency inclusive of taxes and e-commerce display declarations. The Department’s e-commerce advisory addresses information sellers provide to marketplace platforms under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Those sources are reasons to check the current rules for the product and sales path; they do not determine how every creator-led YouTube live arrangement is classified. Sellers and creators should establish who is responsible for the product information and transaction, and consult current compliance guidance for the relevant category and setup.
Keep the promotion accurate while it runs
- Check the live product listing and the graphic against the same current seller offer before going live.
- Make clear that MRP and offer price are different figures; avoid wording that could make a conditional or time-limited offer look universal.
- Recheck the seller’s terms during a long broadcast if the offer can change.
- Remove or correct a graphic promptly if price, stock, eligibility, or offer dates change.
- Do not present a price-loop graphic as proof that every viewer’s YouTube Shopping panel displays the same figures; viewers may see different availability or retailer information.
Troubleshoot common display problems
- The Shopping control or product tag is missing: Check creator and product eligibility, content restrictions, region, and delivery availability. The product may not be visible to every viewer.
- A change made during the live is not visible to some viewers: YouTube notes that live changes may not appear for everyone. Make product selections and ordering changes ahead of time where possible; YouTube recommends at least 30 minutes before the live for the best viewer experience.
- The product appears, but MRP and offer price are not both shown: The documented Shopping surfaces can show product prices, but do not guarantee a combined MRP-and-offer presentation. Use a separate, verified graphic when both figures need to remain visible.
- The graphic and retailer listing disagree: Reconfirm the current seller terms and correct or remove the overlay. Do not assume the retailer listing will update your stream graphic.
- A viewer cannot buy or see the same listing: Check regional and shipping availability and direct the viewer to the retailer’s current product page for purchase terms.
