Yes. PRISM Live Studio’s Basic tier is free and supports YouTube streaming. Its free plan has limits, including one streaming destination on mobile or desktop and, on desktop, two channels for dual output. PRISM Plus raises selected limits and adds premium features. YouTube’s own eligibility rules apply separately, regardless of which PRISM plan you use.
What you can do with PRISM Basic
PRISM lists YouTube as a supported destination. Its mobile app also supports YouTube screencasting. PRISM’s subscription announcement says core streaming features remain free; you pay only if you choose to subscribe to Plus.
Basic may suit a creator who wants to stream to one destination and does not need Plus-only presentation or tracking features. PRISM Mobile includes modes and tools such as camera streaming, screencasting, VTuber mode, live chat, and studio sources for items such as music, widgets, text, video, and photos. PRISM Desktop supports media and game sources, widgets, drawing, live chat, and simultaneous streaming.

PRISM’s current comparison page lists the following limits and benefits. Plus is offered with monthly or yearly billing, but the page’s extracted pricing information shows the annual amount, not a current monthly amount.

PRISM announced Plus on June 5, 2025 at $9.99 monthly and $79.99 yearly. The monthly figure is a historical launch price, not a verified current checkout price; check the offer in the app before subscribing. The current Plus page lists monthly and yearly billing, and shows the annual price and two-week trial.
What the mobile overlay limit means
The headline “3+” Plus allowance is not unlimited. PRISM applies per-type maximums for mobile performance, and its guide gives different limits by operating system and by camera/VTuber versus screencast mode.

For example, the guide lists Android camera/VTuber limits of one chat, five images, three text items, four web sources, one QR code, one RTMP video, and one playback source. For Android screencasting, it lists one chat, three images, three text sources, three web sources, one 2D avatar, one 3D avatar, and one QR code. iOS has its own counts; do not assume the Android allowances apply to an iPhone or iPad.
PRISM also says music, video, and image playlist/playback sources cannot be combined with one another at the same time. Its guide recommends minimizing sources to help broadcast stability.

PRISM limits are not YouTube eligibility rules
PRISM supporting YouTube does not guarantee that a particular channel can start a live stream. YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube also states that streamers must be at least 16 years old, allows 10 active streams per channel, and allows three active streams per stream key.
Those are YouTube platform rules, not PRISM plan caps. In particular, YouTube’s active-stream allowances do not change PRISM Basic’s one-destination limit. YouTube’s rules also do not replace ordinary setup requirements such as a working device, network, and correctly configured stream destination.

Which plan fits your workflow?
- Choose Basic if one destination is enough and the free effects, templates, and branding are acceptable. It also includes up to two visible mobile overlays, one mobile screencast scene, and 30 minutes of 3D VTuber tracking.
- Consider Plus if you need multiple destinations, more desktop dual-output channels, more mobile layout capacity, unlimited mobile screencast scenes, or unlimited 3D VTuber tracking. Premium effects and removal of ads, watermark, and outro may also matter for your presentation.
- Check the app before paying if you want monthly billing: PRISM’s current page does not state a current monthly amount in the available pricing information.
Both tiers remain subject to YouTube’s channel eligibility and active-stream rules.
