For a YouTube show built around live hosts and guests, both Be.Live and StreamYard offer browser-based studios. StreamYard is the clearer choice if you need documented multistream limits or simultaneous broadcasts to multiple YouTube accounts. Be.Live may fit if its workflow and destination mix suit you, but its own help page gives conflicting multistream caps, so confirm the limit and current price before paying. This comparison uses vendor-published information checked on October 3, 2026; it is not based on hands-on testing.

What matters Be.Live StreamYard
YouTube support Its FAQ describes connecting a Google account, choosing privacy, and entering a title and description. [Be.Live FAQ] YouTube is listed as a supported destination. [StreamYard supported destinations]
Multistream access and stated limits Multistreaming is documented, but the same help article says five destinations in its overview and up to eight depending on plan later on. Confirm the limit for your plan. [Be.Live multistreaming guide] Paid-plan limits are specified as three destinations on Core, eight on Advanced, and ten on Business. [StreamYard multistreaming guide]
Multiple YouTube channels at once Its guide says you can select only one YouTube channel at a time. Its guide says multiple accounts or pages on YouTube can be selected, within the plan’s destination limit. [StreamYard multistreaming guide]
Broadcast and recording rules FAQ states a broadcast can run up to eight hours. Downloads remain available for 30 days on Starter, 60 on Pro, and 90 on Growth. [Be.Live FAQ] Paid plans have no StreamYard-side streaming duration limit, but recording limits apply. YouTube stream duration and StreamYard recording duration are separate. [StreamYard duration and recording limits]
Pricing transparency The reviewed FAQ does not establish current subscription prices. The pricing page lists Free, Core, and Advanced for individuals; displayed prices may vary with promotions and renewal terms. [StreamYard pricing]

Choose based on your YouTube setup

Choose StreamYard for clearer multistream planning

StreamYard publishes a plan-by-plan destination count: three on Core, eight on Advanced, and ten on Business. Multistreaming is paid-plan-only. That makes it easier to assess whether one YouTube stream plus your other destinations fit a plan before subscribing. If you need to send the same show to more than one YouTube account, StreamYard’s help article says multiple YouTube accounts can be selected, subject to plan limits. [StreamYard multistreaming guide]

Consider Be.Live if its workflow and destinations fit

Be.Live documents a YouTube setup that connects a Google account and lets you set privacy, title, and description. It also lists other social destinations and custom RTMP. However, its multistreaming guide conflicts on the total destination maximum: five in one section and up to eight depending on plan in another. Ask Be.Live to confirm the applicable cap before choosing a subscription, and check its current pricing directly. [Be.Live FAQ] [Be.Live multistreaming guide]

If you only need one YouTube channel

Both services support YouTube, so the deciding factors are more likely to be studio workflow, desired destinations, recording needs, and plan cost than basic YouTube compatibility. Be.Live says it supports one YouTube channel at a time; StreamYard provides more explicit paid multistream limits if you later add destinations.

Recording has separate caps from streaming. StreamYard’s Help Center says Free streams are not recorded; Core and Advanced recordings are capped at ten hours, and Business recordings at 24 hours. The same article says YouTube itself has no stream-duration limit in this context, but StreamYard records only the last 12 hours of a YouTube stream. Check whether the recording window meets your archiving needs before planning a long broadcast. [StreamYard duration and recording limits]

Be.Live plan details

Be.Live’s FAQ states that Full HD streaming is available on Pro and Growth. It lists recording download availability of 30 days on Starter, 60 days on Pro, and 90 days on Growth, and says broadcasts can last up to eight hours. Streams hosted by YouTube remain subject to YouTube’s policies; Be.Live’s recording retention figures refer to downloads in Be.Live. The reviewed FAQ does not establish current plan prices, so verify the live subscription price and any plan-specific details before paying. [Be.Live FAQ]

What setup does each service require?

Be.Live equipment and connection

Be.Live lists a desktop or laptop, a recent Chrome or Safari browser, a webcam, stable internet, and headphones. It recommends wired Ethernet to reduce lag and headphones to avoid echo. Its FAQ also describes joining a broadcast as a guest with an iOS or Android phone camera, and using iPhone Continuity Camera on Mac. You can select an external camera or microphone in the studio, so buying a new webcam is not necessarily required if your existing setup works. [Be.Live multistreaming guide] [Be.Live FAQ]

StreamYard destination requirements

StreamYard’s destination guide lists YouTube and other native destinations, with custom RTMP for platforms that accept RTMP; some features may be limited with custom destinations. Platform permissions and supported features differ. The guide notes that YouTube streaming requires a 24-hour wait period after enabling live streaming, and that private YouTube streams do not support comments. Check the destination-specific requirements before your first show. [StreamYard supported destinations]

Plan for long broadcasts and recordings separately

Before scheduling an extended show, identify three different limits: how long the studio can send a stream, how long the destination accepts it, and how long the studio records it. The limits published for one service do not automatically describe YouTube’s own archive behavior or the other service’s recording window. StreamYard’s help page distinguishes its recording caps from YouTube stream duration; Be.Live publishes an eight-hour broadcast maximum and plan-based download retention. If you need a complete archive, verify the intended recording and storage path rather than assuming the live stream recording covers the entire event.

Common setup problems and practical fixes

  • YouTube does not appear as an available destination: Check that you have connected the intended Google or YouTube account and completed any required YouTube live-stream verification. StreamYard notes that YouTube activation can require a 24-hour wait. [StreamYard supported destinations] [Be.Live FAQ]
  • You need more destinations than your plan allows: StreamYard’s stated caps are three on Core, eight on Advanced, and ten on Business. With Be.Live, ask support to confirm the cap for your plan because its guide gives conflicting totals. [StreamYard multistreaming guide] [Be.Live multistreaming guide]
  • You cannot send Be.Live to two YouTube channels: Be.Live’s guide says only one YouTube channel can be selected at a time. If simultaneous YouTube accounts are essential, StreamYard’s guide says it supports multiple YouTube accounts within plan destination limits. [Be.Live multistreaming guide] [StreamYard multistreaming guide]
  • Video is unstable or looks soft in Be.Live: Be.Live says resolution depends mainly on upload speed. Try a wired connection, close unnecessary software and browser tabs, and reduce other network use; these are troubleshooting suggestions, not a performance guarantee. [Be.Live FAQ]
  • Your saved recording ends early: Check the studio plan’s recording cap and the destination’s own archive rules. StreamYard’s Core and Advanced recording cap is ten hours, Business is 24 hours, and its help page says only the last 12 hours of a YouTube stream are recorded by StreamYard. [StreamYard duration and recording limits]

When neither browser studio is the right tool

Be.Live and StreamYard are browser-based studios for hosted shows: their documented setup centers on a presenter, guests, and a live production. If your actual goal is to keep a pre-recorded video or playlist running on YouTube around the clock, that is a different job from hosting a live show. StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded recordings or playlists, not for going live from a camera. It is the first option to consider for that specific always-on use: the stream continues from the cloud with your computer off, any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps is streamed as made for one flat price per slot, and the first day is free without a card. See StreamNeo.

Or let it run in the cloud

  1. Upload a recording or build a playlist.
  2. Add your YouTube stream key once.
  3. Go live; StreamNeo loops it from the cloud.

Nothing has to stay on at home; any quality up to 4K 60fps is included at one price per slot; and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start the free day at StreamNeo registration.

How to make the final choice

  • Choose StreamYard if you need published, plan-specific multistream counts, multiple YouTube accounts, guest destinations, or a plan whose recording limits and storage are suitable for your show. Compare those needs with its current price and recording caps.
  • Consider Be.Live if its documented YouTube workflow and destination mix fit your production, after confirming the current plan price and exact multistream limit with the company.
  • If a long show needs a full recording, treat the live duration and recording duration as separate requirements and confirm both against the exact plan and destination.
