1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFor a Gurbani YouTube stream that should keep running when your computer is off, start with StreamNeo. It plays uploaded videos from the cloud, loops them for YouTube, and offers one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; the first day is free with no card. For a locally controlled broadcast, OBS Studio is a no-charge encoder listed by YouTube. YouTube’s verified encoder directory also identifies Gyre and Upstream as cloud options for continuous streaming.
Which software fits a continuous Gurbani stream?
| Option | Where it runs | Best fit | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud | Playing uploaded Gurbani recordings continuously without keeping a computer on | Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos, supports automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and streams the upload as made up to 4K 60fps. See StreamNeo. |
| OBS Studio | Your computer | A locally controlled broadcast with encoder settings and, if needed, live audio/video inputs | YouTube’s verified encoder directory lists Open Broadcaster Software as open source and available at no charge. OBS is an encoder, not a managed cloud service: your computer and connection need to remain available while it streams. |
| Gyre | Cloud | Cloud-hosted continuous streaming | YouTube’s verified encoder directory identifies Gyre as a 24/7-oriented cloud choice. The sources cited here do not establish its current price or measured uptime; check its current terms and workflow before choosing. |
| Upstream | Cloud | Cloud streaming through a vendor workflow, including a manual RTMP option | YouTube’s verified directory identifies Upstream as a 24/7-oriented cloud choice. Its setup guide is vendor-authored advice, not independent evidence of reliability; check current terms and interface details. |
For a prerecorded stream, the key distinction is operational: local encoder software gives you control but depends on your equipment staying on, while a cloud service can run the playback independently of your home computer. YouTube’s directory establishes compatibility and product categories, not a measured reliability or price comparison among these services.
How do I set up a Gurbani stream in YouTube Studio?
- Enable live streaming. Sign in to YouTube and enable live streaming for the channel. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so do this before the intended broadcast.
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room, go to Manage, and schedule a stream. Reuse earlier settings or create new ones. Choose the software-encoder route rather than webcam or mobile streaming.
- Copy the connection details. YouTube supplies a server URL and stream key. Enter them in the encoder or cloud service’s YouTube/RTMP settings. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Prepare the recording or playlist. For a prerecorded devotional stream, use recordings and accompanying visuals you have permission to broadcast. Check that the files play correctly and that the playlist order and loop behavior are intentional.
- Start the encoder and check Live Control Room. Confirm YouTube is receiving the feed and review the preview before making it public. If you use Upstream’s manual RTMP method, its guide says to schedule in YouTube Studio’s Manage tab, select streaming software, enable Auto-start, and paste YouTube’s RTMP stream key into Upstream. The guide distinguishes this manual method from a separate account-connection option, so follow the current instructions for the method you choose.
YouTube describes encoder streaming as one of three routes, alongside webcam and mobile-device streaming. Its documentation explains that an encoder converts video into a digital format for YouTube, making it appropriate for software-controlled or more involved audio/video setups.
Use OBS when you want to keep the broadcast local
OBS Studio is a sensible no-charge choice when you want to control the broadcast on your own computer. Download OBS from its official project site, add your video or audio/video sources, then connect it to the YouTube event using the server URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Menu names can vary by OBS release, so use its current stream settings rather than relying on a fixed menu path.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Keep the computer awake and OBS running for the entire broadcast; sleep, shutdown, a lost home connection, or a crash interrupts a local stream.
- Use a stable wired connection if available, and test the complete playback before scheduling a long public broadcast.
- For prerecorded media, verify the source does not unexpectedly end, change scenes, or expose desktop notifications or private information.
- Monitor the YouTube preview and stream health. A local encoder does not itself provide cloud failover or guarantee that the channel remains live after a computer or connection failure.
Understand YouTube’s continuous-feed and archive behavior
A live broadcast event and the ongoing audio/video feed are not necessarily the same thing. Google’s API documentation gives the example of a 24/7 feed that continues while a separate interview broadcast ends. For a channel built around continuous Gurbani playback, distinguish the encoder feed from individual scheduled event records so that ending one event does not accidentally stop the feed you intend to continue.
YouTube states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not promise automatic archiving for a stream lasting 12 hours or more. If you need recordings preserved, plan for separate capture or archive workflows and verify the resulting video in YouTube Studio rather than assuming a continuous stream will be saved in full.

Check rights before streaming Gurbani recordings
Devotional subject matter does not by itself make a particular recording free to rebroadcast. A recording may involve separate rights in the performance, sound recording, artwork, and video. Confirm that you have permission for the specific audio and visual material and for continuous live streaming on YouTube. Streaming software handles encoding and delivery; it does not grant content rights.
