A freeze, buffering, an early restart, or a short section repeating before the playlist ends is a different symptom. Use the checks below to work out whether it follows the video, the playback device, or the network; the public Gyre guidance does not document a specific fix for every unexpected repeat or interruption.
First check whether the playlist reached its end
Gyre says a continuous-stream playlist starts again when it finishes. If the restart happened at the end of the full playlist, it may be normal loop behavior, not a fault. Gyre describes this looping on its homepage and in its article on streaming prerecorded video.
If the stream freezes in the middle, buffers repeatedly, restarts before the playlist ends, or repeats only a short passage, continue with the comparisons below. Gyre’s public guidance does not identify a confirmed cause or a universal fix for those symptoms.
Compare the video, device, and connection
Change one thing at a time where practical. These checks help narrow the fault area, but none proves a particular cause on its own.

Refresh YouTube playback and check the device
If you are watching the stream on YouTube, its official troubleshooting guidance suggests steps such as reopening the browser or app, updating the app when a video remains stuck, and clearing the YouTube app cache for mobile buffering or loading problems. For TV playback, YouTube also suggests reopening the app and restarting the device.
These are YouTube viewer-side suggestions, not Gyre-specific menu instructions. The exact controls vary by device and app version; do not assume that a menu path applies to every way of viewing a Gyre-hosted stream.

Test the network before changing the source file
YouTube recommends trying a different connection for buffering or loading problems. For TV playback, its guidance also says to check connection speed near the television, router range, and possible interference, and to minimize other devices using the network. YouTube Help recommends at least 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV; this is YouTube’s guidance, not a Gyre minimum or a guarantee that a stream will play without interruption.
If a compatible viewing device is on Wi-Fi and you suspect wireless coverage, a wired connection can be a useful diagnostic comparison. A cable will not resolve a malformed source file or a Gyre-side interruption, and YouTube’s guidance does not require purchasing one.

If only one video is affected, inspect its file
Gyre says a source video’s codec, resolution, or bitrate may not fit the destination platform’s requirements, which can contribute to lag or buffering. Its Video Converter instructions describe optimizing files for YouTube and choosing 30 or 60 fps. The converted file is saved in Storage alongside the original.
- Keep the original source file until you have checked the converted copy.
- Use Gyre’s converter to optimize the affected file for YouTube, selecting the frame-rate option appropriate for the material.
- Test the optimized version in place of the original and observe whether the symptom changes.
Conversion is a troubleshooting option, not a guaranteed fix. Gyre’s public information does not provide a complete set of required codec, resolution, or bitrate values for every destination and file.

When to contact Gyre support
If the problem remains limited to a Gyre-hosted stream after you compare videos, devices, and connections, contact Gyre through the support channel in your account. Include enough detail to distinguish a normal loop from an interruption:
- The stream destination and the approximate time and timezone of the problem.
- Whether playback froze, buffered, restarted early, or repeated a short segment.
- Whether one source file or every source file was affected.
- Which other videos, devices, players, or connections you tried and what happened.
The reviewed public Gyre material does not specify a required ticket format, an error-code lookup, or a symptom-by-symptom procedure for unexpected repeats. Avoid treating an unconfirmed cause as established when reporting the issue.
