To keep nature videos repeating for your own viewing, create or open a YouTube playlist, start playback, and turn on the playlist’s Loop or Repeat control. That repeats the playlist; it does not create a public YouTube Live broadcast. If you mean a broadcast other people can watch live, use YouTube Studio and an encoder—or a cloud service that keeps uploaded videos playing.
Make a nature playlist
- Open a nature video on YouTube and select Save.
- Choose Create new playlist, enter a name, and select its privacy setting. A public playlist can be shared; a private playlist is viewable only by its owner.
- To add more videos, open each video, select Save, and choose the playlist. On a computer, you can reorder playlist items by dragging them in the playlist editor.
YouTube’s playlist instructions for computers cover creating, editing, and managing playlists. Use videos and audio you are entitled to watch; adding a publicly viewable YouTube video to a playlist does not grant permission to rebroadcast it.
Turn on playlist repeat
Start a video from the playlist, then enable the repeat control for the whole playlist. YouTube’s looping instructions describe the control for different devices. The label and location vary:
- Computer: Expand the playlist panel and click Loop.
- Android: Play the playlist and use Loop in the playlist control box. A second tap switches to repeating just the current video.
- TV or gaming console: Select Repeat until it indicates repeat for the playlist.
Check which repeat mode is active: repeating one video keeps the same clip on screen, while repeating the playlist returns to its first item after the final item. The YouTube IFrame Player API documentation describes the same distinction for API-controlled playback.

What playlist looping does—and does not—guarantee
Looping repeats playback for the viewer; it does not send a live feed to an audience. YouTube documents repeat controls, but does not promise that a viewing session will remain uninterrupted in every circumstance. Network interruptions, unavailable videos, device sleep settings, account or app behavior, and interface changes can interrupt playback.
If you mean a public YouTube Live broadcast
A playlist organizes videos for sequential viewing. A live broadcast transmits a feed to YouTube. To start one with an encoder, open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or select a stream, then enter the YouTube stream URL and stream key in the encoder. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions for the current workflow.

Check eligibility and rights first
- YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says a creator needs a verified channel, no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and must be at least 16. Live content must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
- YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If a match is identified, a placeholder may replace the stream; if the issue continues, the stream may be interrupted or terminated.
- Use footage and audio you have rights to stream. If you licensed third-party material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to allowlist your channel through Content ID; a license alone may not prevent an interruption. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
A video being publicly viewable on YouTube does not mean you can rebroadcast it. For a nature stream, that applies to both the footage and any background music or ambient audio.
