On a computer, right-click the video and choose Loop. On mobile, open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. On a TV or game console, open the playback controls and select Repeat until it repeats the currently playing video.
If by “YouTube stream” you mean a broadcast that is live right now, that is different: viewers can use DVR to pause or rewind within the available live buffer, but cannot loop the active broadcast like a prerecorded video. YouTube’s loop instructions cover videos and playlists; its live DVR guidance covers active broadcasts.
Loop a single rain video on your device
These controls repeat the video continuously. Menu labels or placement can vary by app version or locale; YouTube’s documented mobile path is below.
Computer
- Open the rain video’s watch page.
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop. The video repeats when it reaches the end.
Mobile
- Open the video’s watch screen in the YouTube app.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Additional settings.
- Tap Loop video.
TV or game console
- Start playing the video.
- Press down on the remote or controller to open playback controls, or open Settings while watching.
- Select Repeat until it indicates Repeat • Currently playing.

Repeat a playlist or just the current video
Playlist repeat and single-video repeat are different settings. If your rain video is in a playlist, use its Loop control to repeat the whole playlist. To repeat only the current video, activate Loop again until a “1” appears in the loop icon. The playlist then advances no further after that video finishes; it starts that same video again.
Why an active live stream cannot be looped like a video
A prerecorded rain video is a video item, even if it is very long. An active live stream is a real-time broadcast with a live timeline. If DVR is enabled and available, you can pause, rewind, and resume within the broadcast’s available buffer. You cannot seek to a point before the stream began. When playback resumes from a paused point, it continues from there rather than repeating the broadcast as a video would.

YouTube says DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Pause and resume have the same limits; Apple TV, Apple AirPlay, and older app versions may also have lower rewind limits. See YouTube’s DVR guidance.
After the live broadcast ends
A channel may post highlights or a replay after a live stream, but that is not guaranteed. If a replay is posted, it appears as a video on the channel and can be looped with the ordinary controls above. YouTube says it can automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends keeping a local recording as a backup.
