This is the historical Netflix U.S. departure schedule reported for March 2019. Contemporaneous coverage listed 22 title or season entries leaving on nine dates, from March 1 through March 31. These were scheduled license expirations—not claims that the films or series became unavailable everywhere. The primary list was published by TIME and corroborated by Teen Vogue and TheWrap.
Quick answer: what was leaving first?
- March 1: 11 films, including Bruce Almighty, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2 and The Breakfast Club.
- March 4: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.
- March 8: Click.
- March 16: Baby Mama, Charlie St. Cloud and Role Models.
- March 18: Disney’s 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast.
- March 31: all listed seasons of Party of Five and The Real Ghostbusters.
If you were using the schedule as a last-chance watchlist, start with the March 1 group, then tackle the multi-season series before the later film dates. No cited report established an exact cutoff hour, so a listed date should not be treated as a guaranteed midnight deadline.

Most notable last-chance titles
The strongest nostalgia draw was the pairing of Ghostbusters films and The Breakfast Club, alongside the broad-audience comedy Bruce Almighty. Big studio departures included Pearl Harbor and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Family viewers needed to distinguish Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast (2017) from the 1991 animated film. For longer viewing commitments, the departures of Drop Dead Diva, Party of Five and The Real Ghostbusters represented entire listed season groups. This is an editorial prioritization based on recognition and urgency, not a quality ranking; contemporary coverage also highlighted these titles in its roundups, including Glamour and Esquire.

How to read the 2019 dates
- United States only: Netflix licensing was territory-specific, so this schedule does not establish availability in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or other markets.
- Scheduled expiration: “Leaving” referred to a Netflix U.S. streaming license expected to expire. It did not mean cancellation or permanent worldwide removal.
- Historical record: The dates were reported in late February 2019. They should not be used to infer whether any title is available on Netflix in 2026.
- Conflicting roundups: A broader regional list from FOX 13 Seattle included additional titles. Because that report conflicts with the shorter schedule consistently reproduced by several national entertainment outlets, the table above uses the core corroborated list rather than silently merging the two.
Practical viewing order
- Watch any March 1 film you considered essential; that was the largest and earliest batch.
- Start a multi-season series only if you can realistically finish the desired season group before its date.
- Move next to the single-date films on March 4, March 8, March 16 and March 18.
- For any must-see title, verify the title page or in-app expiration notice rather than relying on an assumed cutoff time.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
