U.S. availability checked August 18, 2026. There is no one streaming service with every Pokémon series and movie. Netflix is the first place to check for Pokémon Horizons and several major series; Hulu has selected Ash-era seasons; and Tubi offers some titles free with ads. For any particular season or movie, search its exact name before subscribing—rights and season labels vary.
Quick guide: which service should you check?
| What you want to watch | First place to check | Other options | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original series, Indigo League | Netflix | Tubi, The Roku Channel, Amazon Video, Apple TV | Season names and episode counts can differ by listing. Check the current U.S. Season 1 listing. |
| Middle and later Ash-era seasons | Hulu or Netflix | Tubi and digital purchase for selected titles | Neither service is a complete archive. Check the exact season. |
| Sun & Moon and Season 21 | Hulu | Tubi or digital purchase for selected listings | Availability is season-specific. Season 20 listing and Season 21 listing. |
| Pokémon Horizons | Netflix | Prime Video purchase listings for some episodes or seasons | New seasons may be released in batches. Confirm the season you want. |
| Pokémon movies | Search the exact movie | Tubi, Amazon Video, Apple TV, Netflix for selected titles | Movie rights do not necessarily match the TV series’ availability. |
| Free viewing | Tubi | The Roku Channel for selected titles | Free means ad-supported, and the catalog is incomplete. |
Netflix’s Pokémon collection lists multiple series, movies, and specials. For a franchise-wide starting point, see Pokémon’s official Where to Watch guide; then verify the specific title on the service or current listing.
Where to watch Pokémon by service
Netflix
Netflix is a strong place to start for several major series and newer projects. Its U.S. Pokémon collection lists Indigo League, XY, Journeys, Master Journeys, Ultimate Journeys, Pokémon Horizons, Pokémon Concierge, Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution, and other specials and movies. The collection is not proof that every season is available to every account at all times, so open the title page and confirm the season.
The collection page displayed Netflix plan prices of $7.99 per month with ads, $17.99 for Standard, and $24.99 for Premium when indexed in August 2026. These are dated price signals, not guaranteed current rates; check Netflix’s plan and checkout pages before subscribing.
#1 Best Overall
Hulu
Hulu is listed for selected later parts of the TV series, including Season 20, Sun & Moon, and Season 21. It is not safe to assume Hulu has every Pokémon season. Its page showed plans starting at $11.99 per month when indexed; check Hulu’s current pricing and the exact season listing before signing up.
Tubi and The Roku Channel
Tubi is the leading free, ad-supported option in current U.S. listings, with some episodes, seasons, and movies available. The Roku Channel also appears for selected content, including the original series listing. Neither service should be treated as a complete or permanent catalog. Check whether the specific title is available and expect ads.
Prime Video
Prime Video is a storefront as much as a streaming destination. A title marked as available on Prime Video may be included with a membership, offered through a trial or paid add-on, or sold separately. For example, Prime Video pages show individual Pokémon episodes at $1.99 and season purchases at different prices; an Ultimate Journeys listing showed a season at $24.99, while a Horizons Season 2 listing showed $17.99. These prices were displayed on indexed pages, are title-specific, and can change. Confirm whether the exact listing says included, rent, buy, or add a subscription before paying.
Examples: Pokémon the Series: The Beginning, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys, and Pokémon Horizons.

Apple TV, Amazon Video, and physical releases
For a season, episode, or movie that is missing from subscriptions, JustWatch lists Apple TV and Amazon Video as purchase options for some Pokémon titles. Buying a digital title can avoid adding another monthly service, but it is not the same as receiving it with Prime; access remains subject to the retailer’s digital-license terms. DVD or Blu-ray can be a better fit for a collection or older season, though releases may be incomplete or out of print. Confirm the exact edition and availability with the retailer.
Where to watch each major Pokémon series
Pokémon is a collection of separately licensed series, not one continuous catalog entry. The table identifies useful starting points from current U.S. listings; it does not imply that a named service has every episode in that era.
| Series or era | Where to start | Availability notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pokémon: Indigo League | Netflix | Also listed on Tubi and The Roku Channel with ads, plus Amazon Video and Apple TV purchase options. See Season 1 options. |
| The Johto Journeys, Johto League Champions, Master Quest | Search each subtitle | Do not assume the original-series listing includes these Johto seasons. Check the exact title or physical editions. |
| Advanced, Advanced Challenge, Advanced Battle, Battle Frontier | Search the season subtitle | Availability and grouping vary; a general Pokémon search may miss a season or show a compilation. |
| Diamond and Pearl and related seasons | Search the exact season name | Verify the season or volume rather than relying on a franchise-level service result. |
| Black & White and sequel seasons | Search the series and subtitle | Catalog coverage is title-specific; do not infer availability from another Ash-era season. |
| XY, Kalos Quest, XYZ | Netflix for XY | Netflix lists XY; check the named follow-up seasons separately. Current U.S. XY listing. |
| Sun & Moon, Ultra Adventures, Ultra Legends | Hulu for Season 20 | Season 20 is listed on Hulu; confirm availability for each subtitle. Season 20 options. |
| Journeys, Master Journeys, Ultimate Journeys | Netflix | Netflix lists these series. Prime Video also has purchase listings for some titles; included status differs. |
| To Be a Pokémon Master | Search the exact title | Check it as a separate project rather than assuming it is bundled with a Journeys listing. |
| Pokémon Horizons | Netflix | Netflix lists the series and seasons including The Search for Laqua and Rising Hope; Prime Video has purchase listings for some episodes or seasons. |
| Spinoffs and specials, including Pokémon Concierge and The Arceus Chronicles | Search each title | These are separate from the main series, and availability should be verified individually. |
Where to watch Pokémon movies
Search the full movie title: a service carrying the TV anime may not carry the films. Current listings show Pokémon: The First Movie—Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! on Tubi with ads, with rental or purchase options through Amazon Video and Apple TV. Netflix also lists selected Pokémon movies, but not a guaranteed complete movie library.
- Pokémon: The First Movie—Mewtwo Strikes Back U.S. options
- Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! U.S. options
One indexed listing for The First Movie displayed rental prices of $1.99 and $3.99 depending on storefront or quality. Treat those as listing-specific price examples, not a current universal rate.

How to choose the least expensive way to watch
- Watching casually: Start with Tubi if ads are acceptable and the title is in its current catalog.
- Already subscribe: Check Netflix or Hulu for the exact series and season before adding another service.
- Want one movie: Compare a rental with the cost of subscribing; a rental may be simpler for a one-off watch.
- Want one season: Compare the season purchase price with a month of a subscription that actually includes it.
- Building a collection: Compare digital purchase with DVD or Blu-ray if stable access matters more than convenience.
How to find a missing season and avoid the wrong listing
- Search the exact series subtitle, such as Pokémon Indigo League, Pokémon XY, Pokémon Sun & Moon, or Pokémon Horizons, rather than only “Pokémon.”
- Use Pokémon’s official viewing guide as a franchise-level starting point, then check the title page on the service.
- Compare the named season on Netflix, Hulu, Tubi, and Prime Video. A third-party listing such as JustWatch’s U.S. Pokémon page can help distinguish subscription, free, rental, and purchase options.
- On the retailer page, verify whether it is included or sold separately, then inspect audio language, subtitles, captions, HD/SD format, episode count, and whether the listing is a season, volume, or compilation.
- For movies, repeat the search using the complete movie title; series availability does not establish film availability.
Episode numbering and grouping are inconsistent across platforms: a season may be split into volumes or labeled by a broadcast era or subtitle. Compare the episode list, not just the season number.
Is Pokémon TV still available?
No. The Pokémon TV app and service ended on March 28, 2024, according to the official Pokémon TV sunset notice. Older viewing guides that recommend the app are out of date.
