To delete your Patreon account, submit an erasure request through Patreon’s Privacy Center. Before you do, cancel any paid memberships: Patreon says account deletion is not a substitute for canceling memberships or payments. The request can take up to 30 days to complete, and you can cancel it during the first 14 days.
Before deleting your Patreon account
Full account erasure is different from leaving a membership, stopping notifications, or removing a payment method. If you want to keep using Patreon, choose the narrower action that matches your goal instead of requesting permanent deletion.

- Stop future membership billing: cancel each active paid membership separately.
- Keep the account but stop emails: change your notification preferences.
- Remove a payment method: do that separately, and review any pending, declined, or unpaid bills. Patreon says removing a payment method does not remove pending or declined bills; see its payment information guidance.
- Leave as a creator but possibly return: consider unpublishing or pausing the creator page rather than erasing the account.
Before you submit a request, check this list:
- Cancel every active paid membership and review billing.
- Use Patreon’s Privacy Center to request an export if you want a copy of your personal information.
- Save receipts, tax documents, creator earnings records, purchased files, and other material you may need later.
- If you are a creator, address pending payouts, refunds, tax obligations, and physical-benefit fulfillment, and tell members what will happen to the page.
- Confirm you are signed into the correct account and understand that completed deletion cannot be undone.
Patreon’s Privacy Center provides the request and data-export route. Its account-erasure guide says the request may take up to 30 days and can be canceled during the first 14 days.
How to delete your Patreon account
- Open Patreon’s Privacy Center in a web browser.
- Select Make a Privacy Request.
- Choose Erase your data from our systems.
- Log in if prompted so Patreon can verify the account.
- Select Allow when asked to let Patreon’s deletion partner, Transcend, access the account for the erasure request.
- Confirm the account and data deletion request, then watch for Patreon’s follow-up email.
You can start on a phone, but Patreon’s documented route is the Privacy Center, not an app-only delete control. If you cannot find a deletion option in the app, open the Privacy Center in your mobile browser. Uninstalling the app does not delete the account.

What happens after you request deletion?
Patreon says the erasure process can take up to 30 days and cannot be accelerated. The request is not immediate account removal: the first 14 days are a window in which you can cancel it. Once deletion is completed, Patreon says the data cannot be restored. If you return to Patreon later, you will need to create a new account.
These timing statements describe Patreon’s account-erasure process. They are not a promise that every transaction record held by a payment processor, creator, email provider, or legally required retention system disappears on the same schedule.

Cancel memberships before account deletion
Deleting an account does not reliably stop membership billing. Cancel memberships first; Patreon explicitly warns that account deletion is not a substitute for canceling memberships or payments.
On desktop
- Switch to your member profile.
- Open Settings, then the Memberships tab.
- Find a membership and select View Details.
- Choose the cancellation option and complete the prompts. Repeat for each active membership.
In the mobile app
- Open the membership you want to stop.
- Select the current membership, then choose Edit membership.
- Choose the cancellation option and complete the prompts. Repeat for each active membership.

Creators: understand what full deletion removes
Full account erasure is not just removal of a creator page. Patreon says erasing the account removes both creator and fan profiles. Its profile-combination guidance also explains that combining creator and fan profiles is separate from deleting the account. Patreon says creators are required to combine those profiles as of July 6, 2026.
If you want to stop operating a page without losing the account, Patreon presents unpublishing as an alternative. If you want to remove only fan activity or hide a membership, review the available privacy controls first; changing visibility or deleting activity is not the same as erasing the account. Cancel a deletion request within 14 days
If you change your mind during the first 14 days after initiating the request, either reply to Patreon’s follow-up deletion email or use the Privacy Center:
- Open the Privacy Center and go to Active Requests.
- Find the account-erasure request and cancel it.
After the 14-day window, or once deletion has been completed, do not count on recovering the account or its data.

If you cannot log in or verify the account
- Try Patreon’s password-reset process for the email address associated with the account.
- Check whether you normally sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or another linked login method rather than a separate Patreon password.
- Make sure the deletion request is for the correct account and email address.
- If you still cannot recover access, check Patreon’s current Help Center or Privacy Center for a support or privacy contact route before submitting an unverifiable request.
Patreon’s former privacy-policy guidance listed [email protected] for people unable to log in or recover an account. Because that page is explicitly a former policy, confirm the current contact option before using it. Do not email your password or unnecessary sensitive information.
